Also, it's from Brody's and Drayden's POV. Enjoy!

CHAPTER TWELVE

{Brody's POV}

          Gina handed me a mug of beer and I slid it down to a shape shifter who thanked me. It was almost 9 and since the last message I left Eryn was about 30 minutes ago and still no call from her, I was getting impatient. Gina could probably tell because she walked over to where I was, "Still not call back?" she asked. I shook my head and I noticed Kenny and Greg going silent and then their eyes widening. They must be communicating but about what. I soon found out when Greg walked over to me,

                    "Connor was attacked!" he said and I raised an eyebrow, "So what happened?" I asked. He seem to not want to say anything but looked away as he answered, "The last contact Drayden had with him was him running from someone . . . Eryn is with him. We lost contact . . ." I now had my hand around Greg's neck, pinning him up against the wall. Kenny was already running towards me, a growl exiting his mouth and he tackled me down, "Where the hell are they?" I screamed, now knocking Kenny off of me and was quick at his neck, ready to kill him. I was angry now but to my surprise, Arty grabbed me by the neck, pinning me to the wall. He was strong as I struggled and Kenny and Greg stood as Gina told Arty to let me down.

                   "Sorry buddy . . . You were going to kill the kid." Arty said and I looked over at Greg, who glared at me. I felt bad but I was angry, which as no excuse. The people in the bar stared at me in astonishment. Gina ordered Arty to let me down again and Arty gave me a worried look, "Calm down boss. I'll let you go but calm down." he said and I was breathing hard but nodded in agreement. He slowly let me down as Gina quickly knelt down to my level, as I sat down against the wall, now staring up at Kenny, who was staring down at me, "What happened?" I asked with a little command to my voice. Greg sat down, rubbing his neck as Kenny answered,

                    "Connor and Eryn went on a date to Staten Island. Then contact from Connor let us know he was being attacked, by who, we don't know. That was it. We've been since trying to get contact with him, but nothing is going through. Drayden had already left for the Island and Caine and Troy are on their way there." Greg now stood up quickly as I got up, he was probably making sure I wasn't going to attack but I wasn't angry with them, I was angry with Connor at the moment. He took my niece on a date without me knowing. Wait, was that why she said she had homework instead of coming to the bar. I looked at Gina, "You knew about this?" I asked her and she went ashen, letting her head hang. I let a angry breath out and then started for the bar, "How long ago?" I asked Kenny.

                    "Just 5 minutes ago. Were coming too." he said as Greg and him started to follow me. I didn't argue but as I was leaving I yelled over to Gina, "I'll deal with you later." I said, not caring at the moment what she was going through. In seconds, I was running on feet, faster then I've ever ran. Kenny and Greg had long ago transformed into their wolf form and were running along side me. Staten Island was only minutes away with my speed. My thoughts had turned negative as flashes of Eryn's lifeless body laid in my arms. I shook the thought out, trying to just think rational. Maybe they were just . . . I didn't even want to think about them together. What the hell was going on? Why didn't she just tell me? Why did she even go?

        The city was darker then I was use to but I knew it was because I was scared of finding Eryn. I never believed in a God but if there really was one, please let my niece be alive. The terminal was up ahead but I could smell it, the strong smell of rotting blood. The terminal was dark but from where I could see, I spotted Connor's red Ducati in the parking lot. We were now standing in the parking lot and I made my way to where the booth was. The window of the booth was covered in dark red blood and as we walked around to the side, a decapitated man laid dead in the doorway of the booth. The smell of wolf blood was strong as Kenny bent down to verify who it was. Greg and Kenny looked horrified. I walked onto the dock, no ferries at the dock, unusual.

                   "How do we get to the other side without boats?" I asked not really a question but Greg and Kenny looked at each other, no too sure. So I jumped in and started paddling. I was faster in the water then I was on feet. I heard two other splashes and now knew they were both in the lake. The blood on the deck had made me more scared for my niece. Pleas God, please let her be okay.

{Drayden's POV}

          The site of the dead bodies on the ferry had left me speechless. They were members of a pack we were close too and there they lay, dead and decapitated. Blood covered the deck of the ferry and sailing the ferry to the island made me want to gag but at the moment, I had to find Connor and Eryn. I had transformed into my wolf as I set foot on the island now running for the woods. It was up ahead. The last vision I caught of Connor was him jumping off a cliff. All I had to do was follow his scent, which was a bit weak, and to the cliff. The tall trees engulfed me as I sprung forward, running on two's. My wolf instincts made it's way to where it heard water. Where there is water running, a river should be. It took longer then I wanted but I burst through the woods and into an opening cliff. My nose sniffed to a blanket that lay on a grass area of the cliff. It smelt of Connor and Eryn. In seconds, I jumped off the cliff and to the other side of forest easily landing and started to run, following the tracks that marked the gravel ground. They belonged to Connor.

          I ran for a minute or so when I came to the smell of vampires and Connor's scent. They were near and I was running faster but was my danger senses kicked in as I could now feel something watching me and in seconds, it attacked, a vampire. He was slow and weak compared to me. I had dodged his attack but grabbing him by the neck. Not thinking twice, I squeezed and watched as his eyes started to bulge and then ripping his head off as his body turned to ashes. I was cautious now, running but the smell of vampire was still in the air. Connor's scent was getting stronger but I didn't smell Eryn at all. What the hell happened during there date? Who attacked them? Not knowing it, I came to an huge open clearing and in front stood a vampire and next to him, Connor's naked body. I tensed and the smile on the vampire made me glare. Connor's blood was strong and I noticed it coming from his arm and then near his chest. No, he couldn't be . . . Dead! I tried to contact with him, nothing.

         The vampire set his foot on Connor's chest, "Is this is what your looking for mutt?" His eyes had been red rimmed, meaning he was out for blood. What he didn't know is he was facing a Beta. I was stronger then him and since I was now angry, he was going to die. I ran at him, which surprised him and as he was about to bite into Connor, he was too late. I tackled him as he hit the tree. He was back up and was about to run but I grabbed him by the leg and flung him across the forest, to another tree. My anger flared as I grabbed him between my teeth and snapped down, hearing the bones cracked. He wasn't dead, I just paralyzed his body. Unlike werewolves, vampires couldn't heal there broken bones. I spit him out of my mouth and he laid near a tree I threw him at breathing hard, "P . . . Please. She made me." he mumbled. She? Damn it had to be that succubus. I ignored the vampires please as I made my way to Connor.

          My fear was that he was dead. I hadn't heard his breathing but when I stood over him, his breathing was light. He was alive. Thank the moon. The wounds in his arm and chest were deep. The smell of the silver engulfed me. It was bullet wounds and I knew it was silver bullets. The one in his chest must have barely missed his heart but the beating was faint. I made a mental note of how I got here and communicated with the others, "I found him. He's in bad shape. Caine, bring a blanket and the first aid kit in the ferry. Be careful, the site is unbearable." I telepathically ordered. I knew they were just in the back of me, Caine and Troy. They left a few miles after I was near the dock.

                   "What the fuck happened?" Troy asked. He must be at the ferry. I didn't know but I had to get the bullets out of Connor. He was unconscious.

                   "Not now, get that damn kit here with the blanket." I demanded. I then communicated with Kenny and Greg, "Where you at?"

                   "Swimming to the shore, we see it. Brody should be at the Island in a few. No Eryn?" Kenny knew better. Something bad happened and now Eryn was missing. I went quiet and the pack knew I hadn't found Eryn. I just had to take the bullets out of Connor, being careful not to touch them and then finding out what happened.

          Minutes later, Caine and Troy burst through the woods, a kit in Caine's mouth and a blanket in Troy's mouth. Their attention went to the vampire, who struggled on the ground, and fear washing over him.

                   "He's paralyzed, bring the things." I ordered. They obeyed and I transformed to my human body as I took the kit from Caine and Troy set the blanket next to Connor. I covered Connor with the blanket and opened the kit. Inside was bandages, a tweezers and tape. I wasn't too sure how I was going to force it out but I knew I had to try to do it without him waking up, that was going to be hard. I let out a breath of worry, grabbed the tweezers and started with the arm. Caine and Troy kept guard on the vampire. I examined the arm, the bullet wasn't that deep. The blood was oozing and his skin was trying to heal but since the bullet was a silver bullet, the skin couldn't do it. His skin had gone pale, he had already lost too much blood. I took another breath and set the tweezers towards the his arm and stuck it in, digging in to hurry and get the bullet.

           It didn't take even a second before Connor woke up, screaming in agony. His howl shook the woods itself and I was in luck when Brody, Kenny and Greg burst through the woods.

                   "GRAB HIM DOWN!" I ordered Kenny and Greg, who ran over, in wolf form, and held Connor down. Connor's eyes had turned dark, staring at me. I told him to calm down, I had to get the bullets out. He fought the two off, Kenny and Greg struggling to hold him. Even in Connor's human form, he was strong so if they transformed to humans, he could easily get them off. I dug deeper and I felt the bullet as Connor screamed and his muscles had bulked at the intrusive of his arm. He was breathing hard now, "Damnit Connor, you gotta stop moving." I said. I finally got the bullet out and set it to side and moved towards his chest. He fought even harder, "WHERE IS SHE?" he demanded. At this point, I was just worried about getting the bullet out towards his chest.

                   "Calm down! I have to get the last bullet." I said, now digging the tweezers deep in his chest, in the wound. Another agonizing scream exited his mouth, his teeth baring. He was trying to turn wolf but couldn't, not with the bullet in him. Brody had searched the area where we were at and I knew he was looking for Eryn. The bullet was deeper then the one in the arm, as if it was close range. I felt the bullet and Connor kept looking around, scanning to see if Eryn was around.

                   "She isn't here . . . We came and just seen you with the vampire over there." I telepathically told him since he was listening to me when I spoke to him. He looked over to where the vampire lay, he looked dead.

                   "They attacked us from nowhere. I'm going to kill him and then I'm going to kill that bitch. I'll make her suffer." I looked at him and I've only seen that look on his face once. I thought I'd never see it again but this time, it was harder. I didn't dare say anything, instead I focused on getting the bullet out. It finally dug deep enough to get it but Connor didn't wince, he was now calm. Too calm. I cleaned the wound as it started to heal itself. He stood and I transformed back into my wolf form. Connor wrapped the blanket around his waste, ignoring that Brody was even there. His focus was the vampire. The vampire tried to squirm away and Caine and Troy moved aside and Connor knelt down to the vampire, "Where did she take her?" he asked. The vampire try to say he didn't know. Connor picked him by his neck, ripped his thumb from his hand and the vampire screamed in pain, "I asked where she took her?" The vampire try to say he didn't know and Connor ripped the rest of his fingers from his right arm, "I will tare you limb from limb. Again, where did she take her?"

                    "I really don't know. I wasn't important enough to be told." the vampire cried. Connor then ripped the vampires form arm and then his whole arm. The cries were so painful that I could feel it.

                    "Connor, come on man . . . He doesn't know." I try to telepathically say to him and he turned to me, "If you don't want to endure this pain, stand your ground." his words were death to my ears. I didn't dare think anything else. Connor was gone, this was his wolf now. Everything about him was terror. If anyone tried to stop him, they were just another enemy. The vampire stared at Connor, afraid if he looked away, he would endure more pain. Connor asked again and the vampire hesitated, "The red head . . . She was talking about a warehouse. That's all I know. I don't know what else she wanted, please don't kill me." the vampire started to cry and Connors stone cold face looked at me, "You, Troy and Caine take the West end of New York , search every warehouse. Kenny and Greg, take the East." He demanded and then looked at the vampire, "Don't worry, your death won't be pleasant."

{Brody's POV}

          The torture Connor inflicted on the vampire was horror. As a vampire, I knew the abilities I had, I was pretty strong but what Connor was was nothing but pure terror. His emotions gone. The pack themselves were even afraid. My niece was gone and I knew he tried everything to stop it. The wounds had healed but they were silver bullets. He almost died just to try and save her. We were both on the ferry. He didn't even have any emotions for when he seen the bodies of his comrades on the boat. His focus now was finding Eryn, as was mine. He talked about the incident for a bit, how they were ambushed, he was taken down and Penelope had taken her, with another vampire under her spell. For vampires to be under a succubus spell, you had to be a pretty strong succubus.

          We reached the main land and we were on our feet, running. He was trying to follow his scent of her but he couldn't exactly pin point where to start. My phone then went off and I went dead, Eryn's cell phone. Connor watched as I answered, "Hello!" I answered.

                    "Hey Mr. Uncle man." it was another woman's voice, almost silky smooth. I knew it was the succubus.

                     "Where is Eryn? I swear if you laid a hand on her, your dead!" I warned.

                    "Oh hush . . . I see your lost trying to find her. Why don't you tell wolfie there that I'm surprised he survived the shots. Good thing I have a bad aim. But now it's time for the fun part. I was hoping the wolf would die but since my lover just can't seem to leave me be, why don't you two, and only you two, come to the abandon Steel Mill, Bethlehem Steel Mill. I'll be waiting. And if I even sense other wolves near, I'll kill her." she said and quickly hung up. Connor growled, "That's on the other side of the city. I'll contact the other . . ."

                    "No, she'll kill her if you contact the others. She just wants us two." Connor didn't look as if he cared.

                    "Damnit, look, we'll both go in. If we do need them, you can contact them, but right now, my niece's life is in the hanging."

                   "She's my mate. You don't think it affects me?" he growled. I glared back at him, "You just came into her life . . . I've had to bare her falls." I answered. He kept the glare on me and I fought him back with it. Alpha or not, I was prepared to take him if I had to. He growled, "Fine! We go in, whatever danger we are in, you don't run. My care is her safety even if it's only her getting out of there alive." I agreed because that's exactly what I was thinking. My life wasn't as precious as her's. I was more then her uncle, I was father. She was my daughter and if I had to risk my life for her, that's all I wanted in life. We finally came to an agreement and we started our run, going to Lakawanna street, where the Mill was located.
