loyalty.

"HEY, DAMON." SORELLE SAID AS SHE WALKED INTO THE raven-haired vampire's room. Her eyes were glued to her phone as she read a text from Elena, the message saying that her biological father John Gilbert was now back in town.

"John's—" Sorelle looked up and her mouth gaped open at the sight of Damon in just a towel. She quickly turned around, shutting her eyes with a small groan, "Put on some clothes, god."

Damon merely snorted in response, walking over to where his dresser was and pulling out some clothes to change into. He gave a quick glance over to Sorelle who still had her back towards him.

"What's up? Wait, did you say John?"

"Yeah." Sorelle replied, pressing her lips together. "John's back."

Damon let out an annoyed groan, "What the hell is he doing here?"

"Because of Elena, what else?" Sorelle rolled her eyes before pausing, "Can I turn around now?" Damon hummed and the werewolf turned around to face him.

"Where's Stefan?" Damon asked her and Sorelle shrugged, plopping down on his bed with a sigh.

"Don't know, he told me he'll be back soon to talk with you." And right at that moment, the sound of the front door being opened was heard and Sorelle looked over at Damon, a small laugh leaving her lips.

"Speak of the devil." Damon groaned and walked out of his room to go to Stefan's. Sorelle got up from the bed and followed behind him.

"You brought back John Gilbert?" Damon exclaims, giving Stefan an incredulous look, "That was your big save Elena move?"

Stefan sighed and crossed his arms, "I went to go look for Isobel and I got John instead. He said he could help us and we're desperate."

"We're not that desperate, Stefan." Damon shot back causing Sorelle to press her lips together and give him a look.

"We kinda are though." Damon merely rolled his eyes in response before he looked back at Stefan.

"The guy tried to barbecue me." A snort leaves Sorelle's lips at that and Damon turns to glare at her which only makes her crack up even more.

Stefan stifled a laugh before he went back to being serious, walking up to his brother, "Damon, Bonnie's new witch friend is working with Elijah. So, we have to assume that the moonstone was never destroyed. Elena is putting all of her faith into some deal that she made with Elijah to keep everyone safe."

Sorelle nodded and pointed a finger at Stefan, "To be honest with you guys, the deal seems a little fishy to me." Stefan raised his eyebrows and nodded in agreement.

He turned back to look at Damon, "I mean, do you trust Elijah? I don't trust him. He's an Original. He can't be trusted."

"Plus we can't exactly sneak up on him and kill his ass because apparently the dude can't fucking die." Sorelle added with a quiet scoff and Stefan let out a snort at her choices of words.

"Still waiting for the part where John Gilbert's the answer." Damon pursed his lips, completely disregarding Stefan's little rant.

Stefan gaped at him for a moment before sighing, "He knew about the sacrifice. Isobel told him. He said he knew of a way to keep Elena safe." Damon squinted his eyes at him, averting his gaze over to Sorelle who gave him a shrug.

He glanced back at Stefan and raised an eyebrow, "And how do we do that?"

"He's not talking." Stefan pursed his lips before shrugging, "At least not to me, anyway."

Damon let out an annoyed groan, sarcasm clear in his tone, "Great work, Stefan. Top notch. As if I didn't have enough problems." The raven-haired vampire rolled his eyes before brushing past him but stopped when Stefan spoke again.

"I'm sorry about Rose."

Damon turned around and scoffed, "Whatever, I knew the woman for like five minutes." Sorelle quirks an eyebrow at him but he simply avoids her eyes.

"You cared about her after five minutes." Stefan remarks with a shrug, "I wonder what that means."

"It means I care, Stefan." Damon huffed, "It means, I'm changing and evolving into a man capable of greatness." Stefan pressed his lips together and slowly nodded, "Better watch your back because I may just have to go get a hero hairdo of my own and steal your thunder." He gave Stefan a sarcastic smirk before turning back around to leave.

Stefan sighed and glanced over at Sorelle who pursed her lips, "He's still mourning."

Stefan looked back at the door, "Yeah, I can tell." Just then, Sorelle's phone buzzed in her pocket causing her to furrow her eyebrows together. She pulled it out and her heart stopped.

Caroline:
911 NOW.

"Stef. . ." Sorelle trailed off, Stefan moved closer to her hearing the concern in her voice. She turned her phone around to show Stefan and the two shared a look before they both rushed out of the room.

. . . . . . .

"Tyler knows about you and Damon." Caroline blurted out, her eyes locked on Stefan's as she opened the front door for the two to walk in. Stefan gaped at her in shock, blinking as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"Wait—what the fuck?" Sorelle exclaims with wide eyes and Caroline pursed her lips, closing the door behind her whilst letting out a sharp exhale.

"He knows that Damon killed Mason. I didn't say a word." Sorelle groaned loudly and rolled her eyes, averting her gaze over to Stefan and the pair shared a look.

"It's that woman, Jules." Stefan scoffs as he throws his hands up, "She had a run-in with Damon." The three walked further into the house.

Caroline frowned, her eyes wide as she recalled what happened, "Tyler was so upset. The look on his face, he was so betrayed."

"This is bad." Stefan sighed, rubbing the nape of his neck.

Caroline spun around and her eyes went even wider, "You're not gonna tell Damon, are you?"

"Are you kidding?" Sorelle scoffs, "He literally wants Tyler dead, he thinks all werewolves should die—"

"—Except you." Caroline interjects causing Sorelle to let out a small chortle.

"—Except me, yes. And even though I think he's wrong for thinking that, he doesn't and Damon will kill Tyler if he retaliate."

"Well, we're not gonna let that happen." Caroline stated sharply, "We have to get to him and reason with him before he does something stupid." The Forbes girl calmed down a bit and took in a deep breath as she looked between the two, "You guys have to talk to him. Just try to explain, y'know? You always know the right things to say."

"Okay, he and I. . ." Caroline falters, her mouth opened and closed as she tries to figure out what to say, "We're friends." Sorelle raised an eyebrow at that, yeah okay sure.

"Uh huh."

"Shut up, Elle."

Stefan pursed his lips and pondered for a moment before slowly nodding, a heavy sigh left his lips, "Alright. I'll talk with him."

"Elle?" Caroline gave Sorelle a pleading look.

Sorelle rolled her eyes, "I'll talk with him too, don't worry."

Caroline beamed and gave the two a thankful smile, sighing in relief, "Thanks guys."

"So, how are we gonna do this?" Stefan raises an eyebrow at Sorelle, crossing his arms over his chest.

Sorelle tilt her head in thought, "Hmm, I'm pretty sure he's at his house right now so let's just go there and we'll see what happens."

"Well," Stefan sighed and gestured towards the front door, "Let's go, shall we?"

. . . . . . .

Sorelle stared out the window as Stefan drove to the Lockwood Mansion. The soft tunes of Lana del Rey's, Video Games was playing in the background, it was quiet though, slightly muffled. It took Sorelle some convincing before Stefan finally agreed to put it on, he wasn't really into listening to music.

"Okay, here's the plan." Stefan spoke as he drove into the Lockwood Mansion's driveway. He reached over to the radio and lowered the volume and Sorelle pouts, "We talk to him nicely and calmly."

"And if he tries something?" Sorelle raised an eyebrow and Stefan pressed his lips together, choosing to not respond. Sorelle snorted and shook her head, unfastening her seatbelt when the car came to a stop. The two got out of the vehicle and Stefan held out his hand which made Sorelle glance up at him in confusion.

"Vamp speed, it's faster." said Stefan and Sorelle shrugged her shoulders, placing her hand in his, and in a blink of an eye—they were inside Tyler's dad's office, right beside the Lockwood boy, who froze when he felt that someone was right next to him. He shut his laptop closed and ran but Stefan was quicker and blocked him.

Tyler staggered back and Stefan raised an eyebrow at him, "I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanna talk—We just wanna talk."

Tyler paused, eyes widening, "Wait—we?"

"Hey, Tyler." Sorelle spoke from behind him and the Lockwood boy turned around, his eyebrows furrowed together as he came to a realization, hurt evident in his eyes.

"You knew?" Sorelle only pursed her lips in response and Tyler scoffed, turning back to face Stefan.

"If you just wanted to talk, why did you guys break in?"

"Would you have let us in otherwise?" Stefan questioned.

Tyler stayed silent for a moment and was about to open his mouth to say something but was cut off by his mother's voice.

"Tyler?" The three turned simultaneously in the direction where Carol Lockwood's voice was coming from. Stefan quickly looked back at Tyler who did the same and the Lockwood boy rushed forward only for Stefan to stop him and push him up against the wall. Sorelle swiftly moved towards them and stood beside Stefan, making sure to stay out of view so that Carol wouldn't see her.

"Shh, not a word." Stefan whispers as dark veins begin to appear under his eyes, his vampire face was on display to try and threaten Tyler.

"Tyler?" Carol called out again, "I'm leaving for the memorial." The sound of footsteps was heard before the front door opened and closed, indicating that Carol had left. Tyler went to move only to let out a grunt when he was pushed against the wall harder by Stefan.

"Tyler, it's no use. He's stronger." Sorelle advised him but Tyler just glared at her. The Madden girl sighed and moved to lean against the office desk.

Stefan slowly moved his arm from the Lockwood boy's neck and Tyler swallowed as his eyes flickered between the two.

"Maybe we're getting off on the wrong foot here." Stefan calmly said as he backed up.

Tyler squinted his eyes and clenched his jaw, "What happened to Mason?" Stefan pursed his lips and glanced over at Sorelle who had a frown plastered on her face.

Stefan sighed, turning his gaze back over to the Lockwood boy, "Tyler, there's a lot for us to talk about." Tyler scowled and turned around to leave but Stefan tugged on his arm harshly.

"I wouldn't do that. Without a full moon, you're no match for me." Sorelle clears her throat causing the two men to snap their heads over to her.

"Are you done?" Sorelle raised an eyebrow, "Yeah? Okay, good. Tyler, we're not here to fight you like Stefan said—we're just here to simply talk. That's all."

"Were the promises of being there for me all lies?" Tyler sneered, ignoring her words, "Cause it sure as hell looks like it." Sorelle bit her tongue, choosing to hold back on saying what she wanted to say. Her eyes hardened as she stared at Tyler, nails sinking in the palm of her hands. Stefan knew she was about to snap and quickly intervened, gesturing for Tyler to take a seat.

"Okay first, about Caroline, no matter what her flaws are. . ." Tyler squints his eyes at the sandy-haired vampire, "When push comes to shove, you're gonna want that girl on your side."

"She's your friend, Tyler." Sorelle interjects, "She was there with us for the full moon knowing that if she were to get bitten, she would die. So, stop being a fucking dick to her."

Tyler seemed to falter at that but quickly tutted out, "I thought vampires hated werewolves."

"That's some sort of leftover idea from another time." Stefan answered, "It doesn't have to be that way anymore. We go to the same school. We have the same friends. We keep the same secrets. This can work, Tyler. I mean, it's your home. It's my home and Sorelle's. I want this to work." Tyler slowly nodded and at that moment, his phone started buzzing in his pocket. Sorelle sat up straighter and squinted her eyes at him.

Tyler's face dropped and his eyes darted between the pair nervously, he was quick to pull out his phone, answering it, "Help! Help!" Stefan yanked Tyler's wrist, twisting it slightly causing a grunt to leave the Lockwood boy's lips. Sorelle snatched the phone from Tyler's grasp and abruptly ended the call, her lips curled into a scowl.

"Who the hell was that?" Tyler stayed silent, eyes flickering from his phone and Sorelle, "Answer the fucking question, Tyler. Whose number was that?" Still no response. Sorelle's patience was very thin right now and she was so close to snapping.

"Damn it, Tyler." Sorelle scoffed, throwing the phone down on the desk loudly.

Stefan shook Tyler's arms as he glared at him, "We're trying to save your life here, can't you see that?!" Tyler scoffed before pushing Stefan off of him.

"Look. You wanna be friends, great." Tyler sarcastically stated, "We're friends. Will you go now?"

Stefan paced back and forth, "Look, I don't know what else to say to you, Tyler." He took a seat down in front of him, "I came back to this town because I wanted a life. I wanted to exist where I could have friends and where I could build a family." Tyler didn't seem fazed but Stefan continued, "I have that here. We can both have that." Tyler pursed his lips before shaking his head and glancing down at his feet.

Sorelle's phone started to ring and she knitted her eyebrows together, pulling out the device to see the caller's ID, her body relaxed seeing that it was just Caroline.

She placed the phone on her ear, "Hey, Care Bear. Everything's okay?" The voice that answered her question was not Caroline, Sorelle's fingers gripped her phone tightly when she recognized the voice. Jules.

"That depends," Jules hummed, "How badly do you wanna keep her alive?"

"Jules." Stefan and Tyler both froze and looked over at Sorelle in shock, "What the hell did you do to her?"

"Where's Tyler?" Jules snapped, ignoring her question.

"Answer me first, where's Caroline?"

"You made a mistake, Sorelle." Jules gritted, "Siding with the vampires? I'll give you one chance to fix it."

"I'm not going to fucking repeat myself, where is she." Sorelle demanded, her pupils shaking as fear crawled up in her body.

"Right here. Want proof?" Sorelle heard a door opening before Jules' voice came through again, "She wants proof."

Sorelle perked up at the sound of sobbing and her heart dropped to her stomach. A few seconds later, a loud gunshot was heard followed by a scream that Sorelle immediately recognized, "Care!"

"What's happening?" Tyler inquired worriedly but Sorelle was too busy focusing on the call. Stefan shook his head and signaled him to be quiet.

"Hurt her again and you're fucking dead meat." Sorelle sneered into the phone, her grip was getting so tight that she felt like the device was about to break.

"I hurt her again and she's dead." Jules retorts, "Bring Tyler to me. The clearing by Wickery Falls. You have twenty minutes until she dies." Sorelle let out an annoyed shout after the call ended. She whipped around and bunched up the collar of Tyler's shirt, eyes glaring at him angrily.

"This is your fault." Sorelle said lowly through gritted teeth, "If you had listened, we wouldn't be having this problem." And with that, she let go of his shirt harshly causing Tyler to stumble back from the force. Sorelle turned on her heels, her steps were loud and determined. Stefan grabbed Tyler's arm and dragged him as he followed behind Sorelle, the Lockwood boy almost falling face first.

"Let's go."

. . . . . . .

"You okay?" Stefan asked as they walked into the woods. Stefan, Tyler, and Sorelle had arrived a few minutes ago and Stefan was worried because the whole ride there, Sorelle was completely silent which is extremely weird considering the girl loves to talk. "You're quiet and that's not like you."

Sorelle gave Stefan a blank stare causing him to frown. She gave him no answer but he knew. She wasn't okay, for god's sake—the girl's best friend was kidnapped and most likely being tortured. Sorelle is a ride-or-die type of friend, she would literally die for you with no questions asked. She was going to make sure that Caroline would get back to her, damn the consequences.

"Let's just go." Sorelle mutters out, brushing past him. Tyler let out a grunt as Stefan tugged on his arm harshly, the two men trailed behind Sorelle as they walked into the woods. The further they walked, the closer they were—Sorelle could smell their scents, they smelt woody, smoky anything related to the fucking woods.

Sorelle stopped in her tracks and held up her hand, putting up two fingers as she signaled to Stefan to hide. The sandy-haired vampire quickly followed her directions, the sound of leaves crunching rang through the silent air.

"I know you're out there." Sorelle heard Jules say out into the night. Sorelle clenched her jaw and leaned back against the tree that she was leaning on, glancing over at Stefan who gave her a reassuring nod. Stefan walked out of his hiding place whilst dragging Tyler with him, Sorelle followed behind them, eyes glaring at Jules angrily.

"Where's Caroline?" Stefan asked, quirking a brow.

"Locked up tight." answered Jules, her arms crossed over her chest. Sorelle was close to just running up to the woman and killing her herself but she knew it would only complicate things.

"Let her go and I'll release Tyler." Stefan stated, "Doesn't have to get any messier than it already has. We're not your enemy, Jules."

"It's a little late to be waving a white flag, don't you think?" Jules retorted and Sorelle let out an annoyed groan causing the blonde to turn and look at her.

"For fuck's sake, Tyler's right here like you asked. Release Caroline." Sorelle demanded and an amused snort left Jules' lips.

"A werewolf siding with the vampires. Never thought I would see the day."

"Shut up, you're annoying."

"You need to leave town." Stefan quickly interjects, knowing that Sorelle would snap even more if he didn't, "No one else has to get hurt."

"I'm not leaving without Tyler." Jules shot back.

Stefan gave a short nod, "Tyler's free to make his own decisions as soon as you release Caroline."

"My brother the peacemaker." Sorelle's head snapped over to her right when she heard Damon's voice. Her body slightly relaxed when her eyes laid on him, a breath of relief left her lips.

"Since Stefan got here before me, I'm gonna let him try it his way before me and Ellie here will resort to my way." Damon said as he pointed between him and Stefan, he raised an eyebrow at Sorelle, "Which is a little bloodier, isn't that right Ellie?"

"Right." Sorelle mused, her lips twitched into a small smirk, "So give us Caroline, we won't ask again."

"Let go of Tyler." Jules spat, ignoring their words.

"Give us Caroline." Damon sighed as he was starting to get irritated, "Without a full moon, it's not an even fight and you know it." Jules tilted her head in amusement and Sorelle mentally rolled her eyes, she knew that werewolves were extremely good at fighting but didn't say anything because she wanted Jules dead, "We will take you."

"I'm not so sure about that, tough guy." Jules placed two fingers in her mouth and blew, a loud whistle emitted through the air and immediately a group of people began to appear and Sorelle's lips pulled into a thin line. Werewolves. All of them were glaring at her, Damon and Stefan. Sorelle didn't seem to be fazed at the new people, her lips slightly curled into a grin whilst her eyes twinkled dangerously.

"Let's try this again." Jules stated loudly and arrogantly, "Give us Tyler." Damon pursed his lips and glanced over at Tyler, his voice came out hushed.

"You heard her. Go." Tyler looked hesitant, "Get over there." Stefan let go of his arm and Tyler slowly began his way over to Jules. Damon pulled Sorelle closer to him, practically standing in front of her protectively.

"Which one of you killed Mason?" A man spoke up from their right and Sorelle gripped on Damon's arm tightly.

"Uhhh." Damon drawled out as he pointed to himself, "That'd be me."

"Boys." The man smirked, lifting his stake to point at Damon, "Make sure that one suffers." Damon smiled sarcastically as he glanced around. Stefan and Sorelle shared a look before looking over at Damon who had a grim expression on his face.

"We can take 'em." Damon's voice came out quietly and Stefan shook his head.

"I don't know about that."

"Well, then. . ." Damon trailed off before his gaze averted over to Jules. He sped towards her but Jules was quick to get out of the way, jumping up towards the trailer behind her, doing a back-flip over Damon who stared at her in surprise. Sorelle suddenly felt heat and both her and Stefan turned around seeing that the flamethrower they had was turned on. Stefan sped behind the guy that had it and started to choke him causing the man to fling the flamethrower around.

Sorelle immediately blocked one of the men who was running towards Stefan, grabbing the stake from his hand with a grunt and using it to stab him in the chest, a groan immediately left the werewolf's lips as he dropped to the ground dead. She pulled out the stake and held it up in front of her in a threatening manner. The werewolves stare at her with wide eyes, shocked and angry that she would betray them like that.

Sorelle was one of them, how could she easily kill one of her kind? Sorelle didn't give a fuck, her loyalty was with the people she loved and cared about—yes, she is a werewolf and she knew that werewolves take loyalty very seriously and would be loyal to any werewolf. It didn't matter if they knew each other or not, but that wasn't Sorelle. She doesn't know them, why would she be loyal to some strangers just because they share the same curse?

"Ellie!" Sorelle heard Damon yell, she turned around to see him holding one of the werewolves' hearts in his hands, "Go get Caroline, Stefan and I will handle this."

"But—" Sorelle tried to argue but Damon shook his head and she pursed her lips, running inside the trailer. Sorelle turned and glared furiously at Tyler who was staring at her wide eyes.

"Move." Tyler swallowed and quickly moved aside for Sorelle to go to Caroline. The Forbes girl let out a relieved sob and gestured towards the lock on the cage.

"Elle, oh my god." Caroline shakily cried, "I can't reach the latch. I can't—"

"Sh, sh, I know." Sorelle cooed, dropping the stake that was in her hand, and started to unlatch the lock, "I got you, don't worry. I'm here." Once she had finished, she used all of her strength to lift the cage door. Caroline grunts, lifting the door as well, and immediately crawls out when the cage was lifted. Sorelle let it slam down when she saw that Caroline was safely out.

She grabbed the Forbes girl's arm as well as the stake and rushed out of the trailer, brushing past Tyler and completely ignoring him, "Come on, let's go." As they stepped outside the trailer, Caroline was immediately snatched from her grasp and roughly pinned against the side of the trailer by Jules, a gun was in the blonde's hand which was pointed at the back of Caroline's head.

Sorelle gasped in surprise and went to move towards Caroline but quickly stopped in her tracks when Jules glared at her.

"Take another step and she gets a wooden bullet in the heart." Sorelle clenched her jaw and tightened her grip on the stake. Tyler walked up beside her and gaped at Caroline who let out a whimper causing the Lockwood boy to look away in shame.

All of a sudden, Jules and her group of werewolves began shouting in pain, their hands clutching their heads as they fell to the ground. Sorelle's eyes went wide and her body started to slightly relax, knowing that they weren't going to hurt them again.

She walked down to stand beside Caroline who glanced around in confusion, the Forbes girl's voice came out quietly, "What's happening?"

"What the hell's going on?" Tyler muttered out as well and Sorelle pursed her lips, moving to stand in front of Caroline protectively. The group of werewolves suddenly dropped unconscious, their screaming ceased and the night was silent.

Sorelle heard leaves crunching and turned to see an unfamiliar figure walking towards them, the man had his arms held out and she instantly knew that this man was a witch, warlock, whatever—and was also the one who was causing Jules and her group pain.

"Elijah made a promise to Elena." The man simply stated, "I'm here to see it's upheld." Sorelle's eyebrows shot up and her lips parted in surprise as she shared a look with Stefan who stared at her in shock as well, "You need to go." Sorelle grabbed onto Caroline's hand and the two began to walk up towards the man with Stefan and Damon doing the same thing.

"Get out of here. Now." Damon turned to Sorelle who gave him a nod, the raven-haired vampire pressed his lips into a straight line and held on her arm gently. Stefan trailed behind Caroline as the two followed Damon and Sorelle, his hand was hovering behind the Forbes girl's back protectively in case anything would to happen.

As the four walk away, Sorelle overheard the man's words to Tyler, "When your friends awaken, give them a message. They need to get the hell out of this town."

. . . . . . .

"Is your mom home?" Stefan asked Caroline as they walked up to the front door of the Forbes residence. Caroline went to unlock the door and shook her head.

"No. She's at work." Damon didn't come along with them back to the Forbes house, he wanted to but Sorelle told him that he didn't have to and could just go back to the Boarding House. With some hesitation at first, he finally agreed and made sure both Sorelle and Caroline were okay before he left.

"I can come in if you want to." Stefan offered but Caroline shook her head again, turning around to face him.

"I'm fine, Stefan." Caroline mutters quietly, giving him a tiny tired smile. Sorelle walked inside the house and stood beside her, holding the doorknob as she leaned her head against the front door.

Stefan leaned against the doorway and raised an eyebrow, "You don't have to pretend with me." Caroline pursed her lips and glanced away, "Anyone would be upset after what you went through tonight."

"Yeah, Care." Sorelle spoke up, her voice soft and comforting, "I know you and I know you're not okay and that's fine, don't hide it." Caroline stared back at her, her lips were slightly quivering but she shook her head, plastering on a small smile again.

"I'm okay, Elle." Caroline murmurs, "And I'm not girly little Caroline anymore. I can handle myself." Sorelle let out a sigh and shared a look with Stefan.

"Sure you can." Stefan whispered.

Caroline inhaled sharply, "I just really wanna go shower, so. . ."

"Okay." Stefan quietly said with a nod, he looked over at Sorelle and she raised her eyebrows at him, giving him a look.

"Goodnight." Caroline muttered and Stefan gave her a soft smile,

"Goodnight." Sorelle moved and Caroline closed the door. She followed the Forbes girl into her room and Caroline quietly sat down on her vanity chair and pulled out the wooden shards that were impaled in her neck. Sorelle placed her hands on Caroline's shoulders and brushed her hair out of her face.

"Care." Sorelle whispered, "Talk to me?" Caroline glanced down at her hands, pulling her bottom lip in with her teeth. She looked back up at Sorelle and her eyes started to tear up.

"They hurt me." Caroline's voice cracked, "And it hurts so much." Sorelle frowned and leaned down to hug the girl, not caring if blood would get on her.

"I know." Sorelle cooed tenderly, caressing her back, "I'm so sorry you went through that. I wish I'd gotten there sooner." A knock was heard causing the two girls to freeze, Sorelle pulled back and gave the blonde a stern look.

"Stay here, I'll go answer it." Caroline frowned and went to say something but immediately shut her mouth when Sorelle shot her a glare. Sorelle walked out and her eyes narrowed seeing Tyler waiting at the front door.

"What the hell do you want?" Sorelle sneered as she opened the door. Tyler gulped and pursed his lips, concern was visible in his eyes.

"Is Caroline okay?"

"No thanks to you." Sorelle spat harshly causing the Lockwood boy to glance down at his feet.

"You lied to me." Tyler whispered, glancing back up at Sorelle, "Why?"

"I never lied to you." Sorelle answered simply, "You never asked me personally. I can't tell you why Caroline lied to you about her being the only vampire but I know she probably was just protecting you. And I did not lie about being there for you, I really wanted to be there for every full moon because I know how it feels like to be alone during it. I really wanted to become actual friends with you, Tyler."

"I sense that there's a but coming." Tyler muttered as he swallowed thickly.

Sorelle sighed and frowned, "But after tonight? I don't think it's gonna happen. You've made your bed, so go lay in it."

"Tyler?" Caroline spoke from behind her, Sorelle turned and gave her an exasperated look.

"I thought I told you to stay."

"Yeah but then I heard Tyler's voice."

Tyler's gaze averted over to Caroline, his eyebrows creased, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Caroline responded coldly as she walked to stand in front of Sorelle. Sorelle moved back a bit, giving the blonde girl some space for her to talk with Tyler. She didn't want to leave in case something happened, she didn't really trust Tyler right now.

"I had no idea. . ." Tyler trailed off, swallowing harshly as a guilty look appeared on his face, "They would come for you."

"Do you know what they did to me?" Caroline asked, her lips quivering as her eyes started to tear up. Sorelle clenched her jaw, fingers closing into a fist as anger filled her body. If she saw any one of them again, she would definitely kill them.

"I'm sorry." Tyler muttered, "But it's crazy now. Okay? I don't know who to trust. You lied to me. Sorelle lied to me." Sorelle rolled her eyes at the mention of her name, she literally just answered him as to why she supposedly 'lied'.

"I lied to protect my friends." Caroline snapped, "Sorelle too. I lied to protect you. Don't you get that?"

Tyler falters, "Caroline. . ."

"You just stood there." Caroline continued angrily, eyes glaring at Tyler, "When they were going to kill us? You just stood there! You didn't do anything."

"I didn't know what to do." Tyler argued desperately.

"You help your friend. That's what you do!"

"I'm sorry." Tyler shook his head, voice breaking at the end.

"No, it's too late." Caroline swallowed, "Because we're not friends anymore and what happened to me tonight—that will never happen again. So, you take that back to your little werewolf pack and you get the hell out of my house." She finished her statement with a slam of the door, turning around so her back would be facing Tyler. Caroline's chest heaved up and down and Sorelle watched as Tyler walked away, a look of regret was clear on his face.

Sorelle sighed and pulled the Forbes girl into an embrace, "Let's get you cleaned up, hm?"

. . . . . . .

Sorelle was finishing with putting the bloodied clothes of Caroline's in a garbage bag, making sure to tie it securely so it couldn't be opened. She threw it in the trash can and walked back into her room when a knock on her window startled her. She snapped her head over to it with wide eyes and a gasp left her lips when she noticed that it was Elijah who was on the other side, the Original held a look of concern on his face as he patiently waited for Sorelle to open the window.

"What are you doing here?" Sorelle asked quietly under her breath, opening the window slightly so that she could talk with the Original. She made sure to talk as low as possible so Caroline wouldn't hear her. Sorelle didn't know why Elijah was here but some part of her was okay with the fact that he was.

"I wanted to see if you were alright." Elijah simply answered with pursed lips, talking in the same volume as Sorelle's. "I heard about what had happened tonight."

"I'm fine."

"And miss Forbes?"

"She's fine too, a little shaken up but I know she'll be okay. She's strong."

"That's good to hear." Elijah mused. Sorelle sighed and squinted her eyes at him in confusion.

"Why are you here though? I know you didn't just come here to ask if me and Caroline were okay."

Elijah's lips twitched into a small smile, "I can assure you, I did come here for that but also. . ." The Original trailed off at the end, head tilted in thought, "You seem very familiar to me. I don't know why exactly but there's something about you that I can't quite put my finger on."

"Huh." Sorelle blinked as her lips parted in shock, "That's. . . not what I expected." Elijah shook his head in amusement.

"I'll see you around, Sorelle." Elijah mutters, a smile sitting on his lips, "Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Elijah." And the second she blinked, the Original was gone from her sight. A sigh left her lips as she closed the window, locking it before her eyebrows furrowed together at the sound of a knock at the front door again. She walked out of her room to see that Caroline had done the same and the two shared a confused look before they walked towards the front door, seeing Stefan looking through the window with a grin on his face.

Caroline went to open the door, holding onto her robe tightly, "Hi."

"Hey." Stefan muttered softly. Sorelle raised an eyebrow at him and he gave her a discreet wink and she instantly caught on, a grin slowly appeared on her face as she stood behind Caroline.

"What's going on?" Caroline asked with knitted brows.

"I was a bit worried about you." Stefan replied softly, "After everything you went through tonight."

"I'm fine." Caroline said, reassuring him again with a quiet laugh.

"Well, good." Stefan smiles, "But just in case, Sorelle and I talked and I, uh, brought some backup." The sandy-haired vampire moved aside and Elena and Bonnie came into view. Sorelle beamed and she moved over to give Stefan a fist bump who let out a chuckle and fist bumped her back.

"We're gonna slumber it." Elena smiled and Caroline pursed her lips as her eyes welled up with tears, a tearful laugh left her lips as the two girls walked towards her.

"We haven't done it in ages." Bonnie added with a smile.

Caroline let out a sob along with a chuckle as Elena and Bonnie pulled her into an embrace. Sorelle grinned widely and put her arms around the three girls, she rubbed Caroline's back and turned to face Stefan, giving him a smile which he returned.

"Thank you." She mouthed and the smile on Stefan's face grew wider.

"You're welcome."

. . . . . . .

The sound of a phone ringing woke up the four girls in bed and a groan left Sorelle's lips as she turned, accidentally pushing Elena off the bed. The Gilbert girl left out a small 'oof' as she plopped down on the floor.

"Go away." Caroline whined and Elena groaned in response whilst crawling over to where her phone was. Sorelle moved and pulled Caroline into an embrace, laying her head on the Forbes girl's chest. Caroline let out a quiet giggle and hugged the girl back, closing her eyes as she tried to go back to sleep.

"Hello?" Sorelle heard Elena say into the phone and this time she was accidentally pushed off the bed by Caroline, her face luckily hit the pillow that was on the floor and Sorelle groaned as she groggily lifted her head. Bonnie lifted her head from her pillow as well and frowned at Elena.

"Elena." Both Caroline and Bonnie whined and Elena glanced over at them before looking over at Sorelle, a giggle left her lips seeing that the Madden girl had faced the same fate that she did which caused Sorelle to grab her pillow and hit her on the back, a shriek left Elena's lips as she moved to go outside of the room.

"Good. Heh. Much needed," Elena chuckles before Sorelle's ears perked up as her voice turned flirty, "When can you and I have one?"

"Elena." Sorelle groaned, "I don't want to hear about your guys' plans on when you're gonna fuck." Elena's head popped in from outside the room, a startled look was on her face as she stared at the Madden girl with wide eyes.

"Elle!"

"Talk lower then." Bonnie and Caroline burst into fits of giggles. Elena blushed furiously and moved further away from the room.

"Ah, finally peace and quiet." Sorelle hummed contently before another phone started ringing and Bonnie and Caroline immediately groaned, but in a teasing way because the two knew that the phone that was ringing was Sorelle's.

"That's mine, isn't it?" Sorelle asked in a deadpan tone and Bonnie laughed which answered her question. The werewolf sighed and grabbed her phone that was above her on the nightstand, not bothering to check the caller ID and answering it.

"What."

"Woah! Good morning to you too, sunshine." Damon chortles causing Sorelle to playfully roll her eyes.

"How can I help you, Damon?"

"I'm so glad you asked that, Ellie. How would you like to accompany me to the historical society tea party today?" Sorelle furrowed her eyebrows together and sat up,

"Tea party?"

"Our buddy, Elijah will be there." Damon hummed.

Sorelle's eyebrows shot up, "Elijah?" She glanced over to Caroline and Bonnie who sat up as well, a worried look on both of their faces.

"So?"

"I'll be there, give me twenty."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle didn't take long to get ready. She went to take a quick shower, brushed her teeth, and styled her hair a bit which wasn't much, it was just a simple blowout. She wore a short navy blue halter dress that hugged her every curve, her face had minimal makeup as it was a tea party. She wasn't going to show up looking like she just got out of bed—it was a social event for god's sake, and she had to look good.

"Don't you look nice?" Damon smirked when he saw Sorelle walk inside the Lockwood Mansion. She let out a chuckle and shook her head fondly, giving the raven-haired vampire a short hug. Damon's arms were still circled around Sorelle's waist after they broke the hug, he only let go when he saw that Jenna was walking towards them.

"Damon." Jenna greeted him impassively, "What are you doing here?" The Gilbert woman turned and smiled widely at Sorelle, "Elle, it's so good to see you! You look absolutely stunning."

"Thanks, Jenna." Sorelle beamed, a wide smile on her face as well, the apples of her cheeks were round and had a nice flush to them, "You too!"

Jenna opened her mouth to say something but was cut off by a woman who walked up to Damon with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Hi. You came."

Damon smirked and leaned in to kiss her, "Hi." Sorelle's eyebrows shot up in surprise and she glanced over at Jenna who had the same expression on her face. Damon turned to Jenna and grinned, head tilting towards the woman beside him.

"Thanks for introducing us, Jenna." Sorelle cleared her throat and Damon made an 'O' with his mouth, remembering that he never told Sorelle about the woman who was next to him.

"Ellie, sorry." Damon placed his hand behind Sorelle's back and raised an eyebrow, "Andie, this is Sorelle. Ellie, Andie."

"Hi." Sorelle smiled and placed her hand out and Andie returned her smile, shaking her hand politely.

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you. Damon told me a lot about you." Sorelle's eyebrows raised and she turned to look at Damon who let out a whistle as he glanced around the room.

"Really?" Sorelle mused, chuckling. "All good things I hope."

"Alright." Damon interrupted with pursed lips, dragging Sorelle away and she immediately caught the familiar figures of Carol and Elijah, "Ellie and I got some things to do." Sorelle giggled quietly and smirked at Damon who rolled his eyes.

Damon quickly plastered on a smile when he saw that Carol had glanced over at him. Elijah's eyes fell on Sorelle, the Madden girl gave him a small grin which he returned whilst also giving her a nod in acknowledgment.

"Damon! Sorelle!"

"Carol." Damon leaned forward to place a friendly kiss on her cheek, "Hi." When he moved back, Sorelle leaned forward and hugged the woman as well, smiling widely at her when she pulled back from the embrace.

"What a surprise!" Carol turned to the Original, "Elijah, I want you to meet Damon Salvatore and Sorelle Madden. Damon's family is one of Mystic Falls' founding families and Sorelle is a childhood friend of my son, she's a very sweet and kind girl." Sorelle grimaced at that, yeah she grew up with Tyler but she only considered them acquaintances and after what happened last night—she probably wasn't gonna try and be friends with him.

"Mm-hm." Damon hummed, pulling his lips into a thin line as he turned to stare at Elijah, hand outstretched towards him, "Such a pleasure to meet you."

"No. Pleasure's all mine." Elijah's lips curled into a slight smirk, reaching out to shake Damon's hand. He turned to Sorelle and a kind smile appeared on his face, "And it's a great pleasure to meet you, miss Madden." Sorelle let out a shy laugh when Elijah took her hand and kissed the back of it rather than shaking it.

"Likewise." Sorelle grinned and Damon scowled, not liking that the Original did that.

He turned to Elijah and gave the male a fake smile, "May I speak with you in private? Of course, Ellie here will be joining us too if that's alright." Elijah's eyebrows rose, and his eyes shined in humor before he slowly nodded.

"Of course." Elijah responded, turning to Carol with a polite smile on his face, "If you'll excuse us." Carol simply smiled back and nodded before she left the three alone.

Damon beckoned to Elijah, "Follow me." Sorelle mentally sighed, she knew Damon was gonna try something. Most likely going to try and threaten the Original—stupid of him really. The three stopped in front of the doors that led to the late Mayor Lockwood's office. Damon opened it and gestured for Elijah to walk inside first. The Original pursed his lips and walked inside with Sorelle and Damon following behind him.

"What can I do for you, Damon?" Elijah asked as he glanced around the room. Sorelle took a seat down on the couch that was facing the Original and let out a loud sigh as she relaxed against the furniture.

Damon's lips held a false polite smile, "I was hoping we could have a word."

"Where's Elena?"

"Safe with Stefan." Damon responded, shrugging his shoulders, "They're laying low, you know. Bit of a werewolf problem."

"Oh, yeah I heard about that." Elijah mused, lips twitching into a small amusing grin.

"I'm sure you did since it was your witch that saved the day." Damon retorted with a fake smile.

Sorelle rolled her eyes before she sent Elijah a genuine smile, "Thank you for that, by the way."

"You are welcome." Elijah returned her smile which Damon scowled at before he spoke up again causing Elijah to look over at him.

"Which adds to my confusion on exactly why you're here."

"Why don't you just stay focused on keeping Elena safe and leave the rest to me?" Elijah suggested with an amused smirk before he turned to leave but was blocked by Damon who sped in front of him.

"Not good enough." Damon muttered with raised eyebrows, a smirk sitting on his lips. Sorelle sat up and gave Damon a look, concern visible in her eyes.

"Damon. . ."

In a blink of an eye, Elijah had pinned Damon against the wall near the desk and a gasp left Sorelle's lips. Damon's hand shot out to try and choke the Original but he barely moved. Elijah reached up, twisting Damon's hand, and the sound of bones breaking caused Sorelle to grimace.

"You young vampires, so arrogant." Elijah gritted, "How dare you come in here and challenge me?" Sorelle slowly walked up to them, making sure to not get so close in case Elijah would hurt Damon even more.

"Elijah, he didn't mean it." The Original looked back at her and raised an eyebrow. Sorelle gave the male a pleading look and a sigh left Elijah's lips as his gaze averted back to Damon.

"You can't kill me, man." Damon sputtered out, "It's not part of the deal." Elijah's eyebrows raised in amusement.

"Silence." Elijah turned back and grabbed the pencil that was on the desk and Sorelle's eyes went wide but before she could say anything, Elijah stabbed the pencil into the side of Damon's neck, a pained shout immediately left the raven-haired vampire's lips. Elijah let go of Damon causing him to stumble forward, arms landing on the desk as he pulled out the pencil.

"I'm an Original." Elijah pulls out a handkerchief from the front pocket of his suit, "Show a little respect." He held it up towards Damon who turned to glare at him and the raven-haired vampire grabbed it from his hands harshly, placing it on his neck. "The moment you cease to be of use to me, you're dead. So, you should do what I say." He sent Damon a dry smile, "Keep Elena safe."

"Miss Madden." Elijah nodded towards Sorelle, giving her a gentle smile, his demeanor completely the opposite from what it was just a few seconds ago, "I hope to see you around."

Sorelle gave him a hesitant nod, a polite smile appeared on her face, "You too." And with that, Elijah left the room and Sorelle immediately smacked the back of Damon's head causing him to let out a surprised shout.

"You fucking dumb asshole!" Damon stared up at her with wide eyes.

"What the hell?!"

"Don't look at me like that!" Sorelle yelled under her breath, "Did you really just threaten a thousand-year-old vampire?"

Damon rolled his eyes, "Whatever." Sorelle smacked her forehead and sighed heavily.

"You're gonna be the death of me."

. . . . . . .

After Sorelle had helped Damon with cleaning up his little mess, the two left the tea party and went back to the Salvatore Boarding House. The duo stayed in the library drinking a bit before they were eventually joined by Alaric.

"Today was a bust." Damon muttered out, a grimace look on his face.

Sorelle took a sip from her drink and snorted, "Yeah, because your dumbass threatened a vampire way older than you."

"Oh shut up, Ellie. We get it."

"She's not wrong." Alaric chuckled causing Damon to roll his eyes in response. "How's the throat?"

"Sore." Damon grunts which makes Sorelle laugh. Alaric laughed as well and shook his head.

"Yeah. That Elijah's one scary dude." He lifted his drink and pointed towards Damon, "But with nice hair."

"Amen." Sorelle cheered, clinking her glass with Alaric's. Damon shot her an exasperated look but she just shrugged her shoulders in response.

Alaric chuckled and stood up from his seat, "Hey. You want another one?" Damon didn't say anything, just held his glass out towards the male. Alaric turned to her and raised a brow but she shook her head, silently telling him that she was good. He nodded and went towards where the alcohol was placed.

"He's gonna be hard to kill." Damon groaned and Alaric nodded with a sharp exhale.

"Yeah, I'd think twice before I'd trust that dagger and some ashes to do the job." Alaric poured some scotch into Damon's glass, "You're gonna need more info."

Damon turned to him, eyebrows furrowed together, "I'm out of sources."

"Hey." Sorelle spoke causing the two men to look at her. Sorelle took a sip from her glass and squinted her eyes at Damon, "What's up with you and that news lady?"

Alaric nodded in agreement, "I've been meaning to ask that. So, what's going on?" He walked around and passed Damon his refilled glass and the raven-haired vampire took it.

"Ooh." Damon smirked, "She's got spunk, huh?"

"Just don't kill her, please." Alaric sighed and Sorelle snorted loudly at that. Damon made a face, brows knitted together as he gave Alaric a look.

"If I did, who would report her death?"

"God, you're a dick." Sorelle chortles whilst shaking her head which made Damon give her a smirk.

Alaric rolled his eyes, "Just don't do it, alright? She's friends with Jenna and it's bad enough that I'm lying to her about everything else. I hate lies." He pulled out his phone from his pocket and let out a quick sigh, "Oh, god. I gotta go. I gotta pick up Jenna." He turned to Damon, "Don't worry. I'll, uh, show myself out."

"Goodnight Sorelle." Alaric smiled at the Madden girl and she returned his smile and waved,

"Night, Ric."

Damon closed his eyes and placed his hands behind his head, letting out a sharp exhale as he tried to relax but he quickly opened his eyes when he heard a clattering sound. Sorelle froze and she turned to Damon, the two shared a look before they both got up and rushed out towards the front door.

Sorelle's lips parted in shock when Alaric turned to them, groans of pain leaving his lips as his hands were wrapped around the stake that was impaled in his stomach. He dropped to the floor and Damon and Sorelle turned around when they heard a whoosh. A werewolf.

The werewolf jumped towards Damon whilst pushing Sorelle against the wall which caused the Madden girl to let out a shriek. A loud pained groan left her lips as her back was slammed against the wall aggressively, her head banged pretty roughly as well and she started to get black spots in her vision.

Damon's eyes went wide and he tried to move towards her but the werewolf had a strong grip on him. He let out a groan when the werewolf injected him with vervain, he sped around the house, slamming the wolf into the wall to try and get him off but to no avail. Damon slowly dropped to the ground, losing consciousness as the vervain spread through his body.

"Phew! Damn, you're strong. It took the whole syringe." The werewolf whistled but suddenly dropped to the ground beside Damon when he was hit in the head from behind.

"Asshole." Sorelle spat out as she held a fire poker. Damon lifted his head to the best he could and furrowed his eyebrows together.

"Ellie, get out of here."

"Ah, I don't think so." Sorelle froze and snapped her head over to her right when she heard Jules' voice. Jules turned to the other werewolves that walked in with her and nodded towards Alaric's body, "Grab that one. He's dead."

The werewolf that was beside Damon suddenly got up and stabbed Sorelle in the neck with a syringe, a gasp left her lips as she felt her body starting to burn. Wolfsbane. She slowly dropped to the floor, the fire poker in her hands clattered beside her and a groan left her lips as she fell flat down on the ground next to Damon.

"Hi, Damon, Sorelle." Jules smirked, a gun—probably filled with wooden bullets—in her hands, "Nice to see you guys again." That was the last thing Sorelle heard before she slowly slipped out of consciousness, her vision becoming black.

. . . . . . .

"Wakey wakey." Sorelle heard a voice say, she slowly blinked open her eyes, groaning as she did so—her head was throbbing like crazy. Dazed and confused, she glanced up to see Alaric dead on the floor, her lips parted in surprise as her stomach twisted but she noticed the Gilbert ring on his hand and mentally let out a sigh of relief.

She averted her gaze to see that she was tied to a chair, thick white ropes were wrapped around her wrists tightly and her skin was completely red and burnt and she instantly knew that the ropes were soaked in wolfsbane.

"Ellie." A voice desperately called out beside her, she turned and made eye contact with a very worried Damon whose eyes were wide as he stared at her. "Ellie, I'm going to get you out of here, okay?"

"Damon." Sorelle let out a quiet gasp, tugging at the ropes as she realized how badly Damon was tied up. Around his neck was a collar that had small wooden nails in it and chains that were wrapped around his torso, legs, and arms.

"Get her out of here." Damon turned to Jules, eyes darkened in fury, "Your problem is with me, leave her out of this."

"I don't know." Jules hummed, pointing her gun at Sorelle causing the Madden girl's breath to hitch, "She killed one of her own in cold blood without hesitation and she's a vampire sympathizer, clearly not loyal to us werewolves."

"God!" Sorelle snapped, "Loyalty this, loyalty that, can you all just shut the fuck up with this loyalty talk?! I won't be blindly loyal to some fucking strangers that share the same curse as me. I don't know you, you don't know me! I'm only loyal to the people I care and love about and the ones that deserve it."

"Just like respect, loyalty must be earned." Sorelle finished, glaring at the blonde woman in front of her.

Damon's chest slightly puffed up in pride, a smirk ghosted on his lips as he stared at the girl beside him. Yeah, that's his fucking best friend right there.

Jules scowled and pointed her gun towards Damon, "Tell me where the moonstone is and I won't blow his head off."

"Let me tell you how this is gonna go." Damon huffed, letting out a small groan in pain, "You're gonna torture us, we don't talk. Someone loses a heart. Last time, it was your boy Mason."

Jules walked closer to him, placing her gun down, "This time, it'll be you." She nodded to the werewolf that was holding on to the chains and the man tugged it, immediately drawing a loud pained shout to leave Damon's lips. Sorelle tugged at the ropes around her wrists, not caring if it was burning her.

"Let go of him! Let go!" A few minutes passed before Jules signaled to the werewolf to stop. A relieved gasp left Damon's lips as he leaned his head back against the chair.

"You know what the great thing about buckshot is?" Jules asked, a smirk plastered on her face, "It scatters through the body. Maximum damage." She lifted the gun again and pointed it at Damon, "Where's the moonstone?"

"Get over it, honey." Damon glared at her, "You're never gonna get it." Jules let out an amused chuckle before she pointed the gun toward Sorelle, the Madden girl's breath hitched in her throat. Damon's eyes went wide and he started to pull at the chains roughly.

"Maybe this will make you talk." Jules cocked the buckshot and placed her finger on the trigger but stopped when a voice spoke from behind her.

"Looking for this?" Damon never felt such relief to see Elijah, the Original was standing against a pillar with the moonstone in his hands. Sorelle blew out a sharp exhale and leaned her head back against her chair, swallowing thickly. Elijah walked down the steps and held out the moonstone for the werewolves to see before placing it down on the table in front of him.

"Go ahead. Take it." One of the werewolves sped towards him and Elijah was quick to push his hand inside their chest, pulling out their heart and dropping it to the ground as their body fell on the couch dead. Two of the werewolves tried to leave using their supernatural speed but were stopped by Elijah, their fate met the same as their fallen friend.

Damon's lips curled downwards as he pursed them, extremely impressed by Elijah's moves. Jules gulped and sped away, leaving the last werewolf behind. Sorelle mentally rolled her eyes when she noticed that the blonde was gone. She talked so much about loyalty but didn't hesitate to leave her friend behind.

The werewolf that was holding on to Damon's chains, pulled up his jacket to try and hide his face which made Sorelle scowl, is he stupid?

"What about you, sweetheart, huh?" Elijah asked as he walked behind him. The werewolf swallowed and stood up immediately, "You want to take a shot?" The werewolf shook his head rapidly, "No? Yes? No?"

Elijah looked around, "Where's the girl?" Sorelle assumed that he was talking about Elena.

Damon shrugged his shoulders and pressed his lips together, "I don't know."

"It doesn't really matter." Elijah mused, gritting his teeth before he knocked out the werewolf so hard that his neck snapped. He moved towards Damon to rip off the chains that were on him. Once he was done with that, he went over to Sorelle and immediately removed the ropes that were around her wrists and ankles. He bit into his wrist, holding it out towards her which caused the Madden girl to look at him in confusion.

"Drink, please. It'll heal you faster." Sorelle hesitated before she slowly leaned forward, placing her lips on the Original's wrist and sucking on his blood, her body instantly felt better as she drank. She pulled away after a few seconds, licking off the remnants on her lips.

"You realize this is the third time I've saved your life now?" Elijah turned to Damon who was still sitting in the chair. Damon simply smirked and Elijah sighed, glancing back at Sorelle with furrowed brows.

"Get some rest. I'll see you around, hm?"

"Yeah, see you." Sorelle muttered and the Original turned around, picking up the moonstone whilst speeding away.

Damon groaned, throwing the chains off from his body onto the ground. "God, these morons." A snort left Sorelle's lips at his comment. Damon moved to pick up the ropes that were beside Sorelle and gathered them with the chains so that he could throw them away.

"My dress, it's all ruined now." Sorelle pouted, standing up and looking down at her dress. The dress had her blood all over it, she reached up to her head to see that there was still some blood left over but the cut she had was already healed by Elijah's blood.

Damon turned to her and pursed his lips, letting out a small chuckle, "I'll deep clean it for you."

"Really?!"

"No."

"I hate you."

"Aww, I love you too." Damon cooed causing Sorelle to roll her eyes in response, her lips pulled in a straight line.

"I'll get rid of the bodies, so don't worry about it." Damon said and in mere minutes, the house was rid of the dead bodies as well as the ropes and chains. Sorelle took a seat on the couch, now that the body of the dead werewolf was gone. She didn't sit where the body was laid, she sat way down from where it was.

Damon's phone suddenly rang and the two shared a confused look before he answered it, putting it on speakerphone, "Hello?"

"Damon, it's Bonnie."

"What's wrong?"

"Elijah wants the sacrifice to happen." Bonnie revealed and Sorelle's heart dropped to her stomach.

"What?!"

"Elle?" Bonnie called out in confusion, "What—I—actually never mind, but I looked through Luca's mind, remember him?"

"Yeah." Sorelle answered with knitted brows, "He's working for Elijah, isn't he?"

"Yup, and when I looked through his mind, that's where I found out that Elijah plans to have Elena be sacrificed." Bonnie sighed.

Damon pursed his lips and picked up the chair that he was in to move it, "So he planned to kill her all along."

"Yeah, the sacrifice is part of Elijah's plan."

"Got it, loud and clear." Damon responded grimly before he reached over to end the call. Just then, Alaric woke up with a groan, and Sorelle let out a loud relieved sigh.

"Welcome back, Ric."

"Finally." Damon huffed, "You missed all the fun." Alaric sat up slowly and clutched his head, his eyes went wide as he began to pat around his body.

"Hi—Wait Jenna, oh my god. I need to call her."

"We'll leave you to that." Damon said, raising an eyebrow at Sorelle who pursed her lips and got up from the couch. The two made their way upstairs to Damon's room and Damon took out his phone to call someone.

"Stefan?" Sorelle simply asked and Damon nodded.

"Yeah." A few minutes passed before Stefan finally answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Stefan." Damon begins, "Elijah plans to kill Elena this entire time. It came straight from the witch's mouth. He was gonna go through with the whole sacrifice. You should probably just keep her away a little longer."

"What? I—Okay, be careful. Try not to get yourself killed." Stefan replied causing Sorelle to snort.

Damon rolled his eyes with a sigh, "Yeah. It's been a day for that." With that, he ended the call and fell back on his bed.

"What a day." Sorelle tiredly laughed as she sat down on the bed. The raven-haired vampire let out a quiet chuckle and nodded, turning his head to look at her.

"You're okay, right?"

"Yeah. Besides, Elijah's blood sped up the healing process."

Damon scowled, "What is that guy's deal with you anyways? He's so. . . nice to you."

"Well, maybe it's because I don't threaten him." Sorelle retorted causing the raven-haired vampire to roll his eyes. Just then, her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulled it out with furrowed eyebrows, her face fell when she saw that it was a text from Tyler.

Tyler:
Hey, I couldn't bring myself
to say this face to face but I'm
leaving town. With Jules. She's going
to teach me more stuff about being
a werewolf and I just couldn't stay in
this town anymore, not after what happened. I'm sorry for what went
down and I hope that we can become
friends one day. Thank you for
guiding me through my first full moon.
You're a really cool person, Sorelle.
Good luck and I'm sorry.

"Who is it?" Damon asked as Sorelle stood up from the bed. She shook her head and turned off her phone, placing it on the nightstand before walking towards the shower in Damon's room.

"No one."

"Hm, okay. You're staying?"

"Can I?"

"Always."
