002. Big Bad Wolf

CHAPTER TWO,
big bad wolf.

A KNOCK ON THE DOOR SNAPPED SORELLE out of her thoughts, she raised an eyebrow at Damon who shrugged his shoulders. Both of them walked up to the door with Damon being the one to open it.

"Hello, Elena." Damon greeted the doppelgänger with a tight-lipped smile. Elena let out a heavy sigh, clutching tightly onto the strap of her bag. Sorelle sent a quick grin to her friend, leaning her chin on Damon's shoulder.

"Hi, Lena."

Elena gave her a smile, "Hi, Elle." She greeted the werewolf before adding, "Is Stefan here? He called, said it was important." Damon opens the door wider and gestures her to come inside.

"Right this way." Elena purses her lips before slowly walking inside.

"Hey." Stefan greeted causing the doppelgänger to turn over to him. Elena adjusted the strap of her bag and quirks an eyebrow.

"What is this about?" Sorelle turned to see Rose coming towards them. Stefan didn't respond to Elena, merely moving aside for her to see who was behind him.

"You." Elena mutters in shock with wide eyes. The vampire gave her a short wave with a tight-lipped smile. Sorelle looked over at Damon whose eyes were still on the doppelgänger.

She mentally sighed, her heart clenching in pain for her close friend. Damon had told her about what happened last night, he had found Elena's necklace and went to return it—during that time, he confessed to her and then compelled her to forget about it.

Poor Damon, Sorelle frowns before walking up to the vampire and wrapping her arm around his. The raven-haired vampire glances down at her and gives her a soft smile whilst placing a chaste kiss on her forehead.

"Let's talk about this in the library, yeah?" Stefan rose an eyebrow as he glanced at everyone. They all nodded at his suggestion and walked towards the library. Once they had arrived, Sorelle took a seat on the couch with Damon standing behind her, his hands placed on top of the furniture.

"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years." Rose started, "And I-I don't know what's true and what's not true. That's the problem with all this vampire crap."

"But Klaus, I know is real." Sorelle made a face, who actually names their kid Klaus? It's like they hated him or something.

"Who is he?" Elena asked with knitted eyebrows whilst shrugging her shoulders in confusion.

"He's one of the originals." Sorelle answers looking over at the brunette. After Rose had appeared last night, she spilled everything she knew about Klaus to Sorelle and Stefan and later on when Damon got home, Sorelle told him too.

"He's a legend." Damon adds finishing Sorelle's sentence with raised brows.

Stefan sighs and looked over to his girlfriend, "He's one of the first generation of vampires."

"Like Elijah?" Elena asked but Rose shook her head.

"No." Rose responded, "Elijah was the Easter Bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal."

"Essentially, he's basically the big bad wolf." Sorelle spoke up with a heavy sigh. Rose pointed her finger at her and nodded in agreement.

"And Klaus is known to be the oldest." Stefan adds causing the doppelgänger to shake her head.

"Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?" She asks looking between the Salvatores and Sorelle.

"Yes." Rose and Sorelle said in unison whilst Stefan answers with a "No." Stefan sent the werewolf an exasperated look which only made her shrug her shoulders in response, she wasn't going to lie to her friend.

"What they're saying," Damon says as he walk over to Rose, "I mean, if what she's saying is true—"

"Which it is." Rose said cutting him off making Damon give her a look.

"And you're not just saying it so we don't kill you."

Rose cuts him off again with a roll of her eyes, "Which I'm not."

"Then we're looking at a solid maybe." Damon concludes with his arms slightly spread open. Elena inhales sharply and slowly nodded. Sorelle roll her eyes and pushed herself up from the couch and joined Damon.

"It's a solid yes." Damon shot her a glare but Sorelle ignored him, "You know I don't sugarcoat shit, and my gut is telling me that Rose is not lying, Lena." Elena purses her lips in thought, she knew Sorelle don't joke around like this and if the girl's gut is telling her something, it always turns out to be true.

Rose gave her a grateful smile and threw her hands up, "At least someone here believes me." Stefan sighs and got up from where he was sitting and made his way over to the doppelgänger.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right?" Stefan says, "So no one even knows that you exist."

Rose was quick to shake her head, "Not that you know of." Damon purses his lips and looked over at her with a glare.

"That's not helping." Sorelle roll her eyes at the vampire.

"She's not wrong though." Damon huffed and threw his arms up dramatically.

"Whose side are you on?"

"Reality." A snort leaves Rose's lips at her answer.

"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him." Stefan stated looking at Damon and Sorelle, "I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction." Stefan turns back to look at Elena, "I mean, we don't even know what's real. For all we know, he could just be some sort of stupid bedtime story."

Sorelle roll her eyes in annoyance, "Stef, come on now." Rose shot up from the couch and gave the doppelgänger a pleading look.

"He's real, and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it." Rose turns to glance around at everyone, "If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot."

"Alright, we're shaking." Damon spoke up, rolling his eyes, "You've made your point." Elena pushes herself up from the couch causing a confused look to appear on Stefan and Sorelle's faces.

"Where you going?" Stefan asks with furrowed eyebrows. Elena pauses and glanced back at her boyfriend.

"Uh, school. I'm late." Sorelle's eyes went wide and she quickly grabbed her bag that was laying on the couch and started shoving her stuff that had spilled out inside.

"Oh, shit!" Sorelle squeaks, "I forgot about that." Elena laughs and shook her head fondly. Stefan got up from the couch also and made his way over to the brunette.

"Let me, uh, let me grab my stuff. I'll go with you." Elena shook her head stopping Stefan in his tracks.

"That's okay. I know where it is." Elena answers, looking over at Sorelle who was walking towards them. "Beside, I have Sorelle. I'm fine."

Sorelle gave Stefan a pat on the shoulder reassuringly, "Don't worry, Stef. I'll keep your girl safe." Stefan purses his lips before slowly nodding. Elena interlocked her arms with Sorelle's and started to walk away.

"Bye, D!" Sorelle calls out to Damon who let out a chuckle.

"Bye, E!"

As the two girls made their way out of the house. Sorelle gave her a look and whispered under her breath, quietly enough so that the vampires couldn't hear her.

"You're not going to school, are you?" Elena's face fell and she looked over at the werewolf sheepishly. Sorelle sighed, she knew the girl too well.

"Alright, where are we going?"

. . . . . . .

"Tell everyone we weren't feeling well." Elena told Caroline, letting out a small grunt as she tugged on the bag in her hands, "And that we went home from school." Sorelle and Elena had called the blonde on the drive to where the tomb was located, they planned to talk to Katherine and ask her about Klaus.

Sorelle tapped the doppelgänger's shoulder and gestured her to hand the bag over. Elena gave her a grateful smile and the werewolf took it from her hands. She was stronger due to her werewolf strength so she could easily hold the heavy bag.

"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this." Caroline states dramatically as she trails behind Sorelle and Elena. "I'm a terrible liar."

"That's true." Sorelle nods causing the blonde vampire to playfully nudge her, "But we need your help, even with my werewolf strength I can't open the tomb door by myself." Caroline merely sigh in response.

"And keep Stefan busy." Elena cuts in, "I don't want him knowing what I'm up to." Sorelle let out a loud 'Ah' and glanced back at Caroline.

"Damon, too." Sorelle says whilst huffing, "God knows what he'll do if he finds out I'm doing this with Lena."

"I'm even worse at duplicity and you guys know this." Caroline whines continuing her dramatic antics.

"You managed to keep me occupied when Katherine paid Stefan a visit." Elena points out but Caroline was quick to defend herself.

"Yeah, 'cause she threatened me. Not that I'm saying you should use that as a tactic. It's. . ." Elena stops and turned around to look at the blonde, "Stefan and Damon's gonna see right through me." ( a/n: just a quick note damon & caroline never happened in s1 )

"Caroline." Sorelle sighs dramatically, placing the bag in her hand down onto the ground for a moment, "Care Bear, as our friend, promise us? Pretty please." Sorelle's lips fell into a pout and she widen her eyes, giving the blonde a pleading look. Caroline falters and rolled her eyes with a groan.

"You had to break out the girlfriend code." A smirk of triumph grew on Sorelle's face, "Okay, fine. I promise. Lose the puppy face. "

Sorelle quickly place a chaste kiss on the blonde's cheek, "Love you, Care." Caroline roll her eyes and waved her off. Sorelle grabbed the bag from the ground and threw it onto her shoulders. Elena gives Caroline a smile of gratitude before turning around to continue to where they were going.

"Why don't you want them to know?" Caroline asks following behind the two.

"Because they would never be okay with us doing this." Sorelle answers adjusting the strap, Elena nodded in agreement and Sorelle walked downstairs following the doppelgänger into the tomb.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Caroline raises an eyebrow letting out a sharp exhale.

Elena looks back at her and nodded, "Yes, I'm sure. She's the only one who knows the truth about Klaus. The only one who can tell us how to stop him."

"But you're asking for the truth from someone who's probably never given it." Caroline shot back causing Elena to glance over at Sorelle.

"That's why Sorelle's here." Elena answers which the werewolf nodded in response.

"Kitty Kat likes me for some reason. She won't lie to me and never had." From the moment that Katherine had arrived, the vampire had strangely been kind to her, god knows why though.

"Beside, we can't just sit back and wait." Sorelle adds, "We have to know, for Elena's sake." Caroline glanced over at the large rock wall that was covering the tomb's entrance.

"Please." Elena said in a pleading tone. Caroline hesitated for a moment before she walked over to remove the stone wall. The blonde slowly stepped back allowing Elena to move forward.

"Katherine?" She called out before looking back at Caroline, "We'll be okay from here." Caroline shot her a look and opened her mouth to say something but stopped when the sound of footsteps was heard. Sorelle snapped her head over to the entrance, softly tugging Elena towards her.

"Hello, Elena." Katherine croaks out when she came into view. Sorelle winced and gave the vampire a look of pity.

"You look like hell." Sorelle comments causing Katherine to look over at her, a smirk slowly grew on the vampire's face.

"Sorelle." Katherine cooed, " My favorite from the Scooby Doo group." Sorelle flashes her a grin before the vampire's gaze fell back onto Elena.

"You come to watch me wither away?" Katherine asks before she look at Caroline, "Goodbye Caroline."

"As long as we stay on this side of the door, she can't hurt us." Elena says reassuringly to the Forbes girl. Katherine chortles and leaned her head against the wall.

"Sorelle's fine, I won't hurt her because unlike you, I like her."

Sorelle shook her head with a quiet chuckle, "Play nice, Katherine." The vampire simply smirk in response. Elena gives Katherine a glare before letting out a sigh and glancing back at Caroline.

"Please." Caroline looked between Elena and Katherine before slowly walking away. Sorelle gives the blonde girl a quick smile which was returned. Elena turns to Sorelle and places her hand out, silently asking the werewolf to give the bag to her. Sorelle shrugged off the bag and placed the strap into the doppelgänger's hand. Elena sent a quick smile to her before looking back at Katherine.

"Stefan know you're here?" Katherine questions quirking a brow at her.

Elena ignored her question and huffs, "I brought you some things."

"You came to bribe me?" Katherine scoffs before glaring at her, "What is it that you want?" Elena threw a white blanket at her.

"I want you to tell me about Klaus." Katherine raises her brows in surprise whilst standing up straighter.

"Hmm." The vampire hums in amusement, "You've been busy."

Elena then pulls out a big book with the word Petrova etched on the spine, "I also brought you this." She turned it over for Katherine to see, "It's your family history. It says in here that the family line ended with you."

Sorelle snorts and raises an eyebrow at Katherine, "Obviously that's not true."

"You think that if you brought me some family keepsake that I'd open up?" Katherine asks the doppelgänger in a snarky tone. Elena ignored her and proceeded to take out a bottle full of human blood.

"I also brought you this." Katherine used her vamp-speed to try and get the bottle but was stopped by the barrier that was placed on the tomb. Elena flinches in surprise but she quickly recovered, trying to hide the fact that she had flinched.

Katherine glares at her, her chest heaving up and down as she panted. Sorelle took that opportunity to walk closer to her.

"You don't look so good there, Kitty Kat." Sorelle cooed, her head tilting to the side. Katherine's glare turned over to her and the vampire gritted her teeth.

"Don't piss me off, Sorelle." The werewolf only pouted in response.

"How long before your body shuts down?" Sorelle says ignoring her warning, "Ten, twenty years? It must be incredibly painful to desiccate and mummify. I can't even imagine." Katherine narrows her eyes at the werewolf before she leaned back against the wall in defeat and began to sit down.

Sorelle looks back at Elena and motioned her to pour some blood out in the small cup that they had. After she had finished pouring it, she grabbed a stick that was beside her and used it to push the cup towards Katherine. The vampire grabbed it and started to drink, she looked over at Elena who raises a brow at her.

"More blood?" Katherine didn't say anything, placing the cup down and Elena used the stick again to push the cup back towards her.

"It's a long story." Katherine sighs heavily glancing over at the two girls, "Klaus and I." Elena pours more blood into the cup before pushing it back to Katherine.

"Goes all the way back to England, 1492 after I left Bulgaria." Katherine paused, "Or was thrown out." She tilt her head back, downing the blood completely. Elena shared a look with Sorelle before glancing back at Katherine in confusion.

"Thrown out?"

"My family, your true ancestors. . ." Katherine swallows harshly, her voice came out softly, "They disowned me."

"My indiscretions were not tolerated at that time." Katherine adds, "I had a baby out of wedlock. The shame."

"So, it was kept secret?" Sorelle asks and Katherine glanced up at her, nodding in response.

"My baby was given away." Sorelle frowns and gave the vampire a pity look.

"I'm sorry." Katherine simply just waves her off.

"I was banished to England and I had to learn to adjust." Katherine continues, "So I quickly became English. It was there that I caught the eye of a nobleman named Klaus. I was taken with him at first until I found out what he was and what he wanted from me."

"And then I ran like hell." Katherine finished, clenching her jaw.

"So," Elena drawls out, standing up, "What did Klaus want?" Katherine sighs and quirks an eyebrow at her.

"Same thing that he'll want from you. He wants to break the curse."

"By sacrificing the Petrova doppelgänger." Sorelle stated softly as she stare at Elena.

"He wanted to drain every single drop of blood from my body." Katherine added, hatred clear in her tone. Elena swallowed before she sat down and started to pour more blood out into the empty cup beside her.

"What does the Petrova bloodline have to do with Klaus?" She asks as she pushes the cup towards Katherine again.

"It's really tedious, but. ." Katherine pause to drink more blood, crushing the cup with her hands when she was done, "The curse was bound by the sacrifice of Petrova blood. Witches are crafty with their spells." Elena made a face in understanding, "The doppelgänger was created as a way to be able to undo the spell." Sorelle took a seat down beside Elena and leaned her head against the wall.

"So, once the doppelgänger reappeared. . ." Sorelle frowns, "The curse can be broken." Katherine points a finger at her and tsked.

"Bingo."

"So you ran before he killed you." Elena comments with knitted brows which Katherine nodded in response.

"Something like that."

"Where did you go?" Sorelle asks making Katherine look over at her, "I'm sure you didn't run through the woods the whole time."

"Rose." Katherine answers with a sigh, "Trevor found me and told me to go look for a cottage where I found Rose hiding in, she took me in but she didn't want to end up dead so she locked me in a room and had me stay there until nightfall so she could take me back to Klaus."

"But Rose never ended up taking you back to Klaus, did she?" Sorelle asks again in which Katherine nodded.

"No, but not because she had a change of heart."

"What do you mean by that?" Elena shook her head in confusion. Katherine looked away from them and stared at the wall in front of her.

"In the room I was locked in, I stabbed myself with a knife because I would rather die than go back to Klaus. Rose used her blood to heal me and during that time, Trevor had arrived and as she was distracted, the ropes that she was going to use to tie me up, I used it to hang myself."

"You killed yourself?" Sorelle mutters softly in shock, "Oh my god."

"Klaus needed a human doppelgänger." Katherine stated with a shrug, "As a vampire, I was no longer any use to him."

"But it didn't work. You didn't really escape." Elena comments, "You've been running from Klaus ever since."

"I underestimated his spirit for vengeance." Katherine roll her eyes making Sorelle let out a small chuckle. "But living out of a suitcase is better than dying so that you could have your blood spilled over some silly little rock." Elena shifts and looked away from the vampire. Katherine notices and turned her body towards her direction.

"What's wrong?" Katherine mocks, "Afraid I'm right?" Sorelle roll her eyes and gave a small pat on Elena's leg in reassurance.

"Ignore her." Katherine let out a small snort at her comment but she continued with her mocking.

"And you don't wanna die?" She says raising her eyebrows with a tilt of the head, "There's another way out." Her fingers hovered over her left wrist and she let out a small wince when she had successfully cut her skin. Elena furrow her eyebrows and glanced down at her wrist before looking back at her.

Sorelle gave a glare to the vampire, "Seriously?" Katherine simply ignored her, her eyes locked on the doppelgänger.

"Better hurry. Your opportunity is going." Her skin begin to heal, "Going, going—" Katherine let out a faux sympathetic sigh, "And gone."

The vampire's lips pulled into a tiny smirk, "I made the other choice."

Elena scoffs, "Rose and Trevor spent the last five hundred years running because you used them. Trevor just got killed."

Katherine shrugged impressed, "Never thought he would have lasted that long."

"You don't even care that you ruined their lives." Elena mutters in shock as she stare at the Petrova girl. Sorelle sighed and gave her a look.

"You should know by now Katherine doesn't care for anything." Sorelle stated, her eyes trailing over to the vampire, "Survival is the only thing she cares about." The werewolf receives a smirk from Katherine at her comment.

"Sorelle's right." Katherine muses, "I was looking out for myself, Elena. I will always look out for myself."

"If you're smart, you'll do the same." She tells Elena with a raise of an eyebrow. Katherine gave one last look to Sorelle before she turned away from them and opened her family book that was in her lap.

"So, how much of your little story is true?" Elena retorts as she stand up. Katherine merely sigh in response, flipping through the pages of the book.

"I have no reason to lie, Elena." Katherine answers, "I have no reason to do anything, but sit here and read and rot."

"Alright, let's say your story is true." Sorelle clears her throat, "That's the reason why you came back, isn't it?" Katherine rose an eyebrow, "Because you wanted to be the one to hand Elena over to Klaus."

Katherine roughly shut the book closed and threw it on the ground, she let out an annoyed groan before pushing herself up to stand, "Five hundred years on the run, I figured maybe he'd be willing to strike a deal." Sorelle stood up as well and began pacing around.

"So, you got Mason Lockwood to find you the moonstone." Sorelle stated causing Katherine to nod.

"Right again." Elena furrows her eyebrows together and gave the vampire a look.

"What else is needed to break the curse?" Katherine smirks, moving closer to the barrier.

"Mmm, look who's getting smarter."

"It's not just me or the stone, is it?" Katherine tilt her head to the side, staying silent rather than answering the Gilbert girl, "Otherwise, there would be no reason to trigger Tyler Lockwood's werewolf curse."

"Witches and their spells." Katherine scoffs, "So many ingredients, so many people to sacrifice."

"So you need a werewolf." Sorelle breathes out in realization. Katherine gives her a wink and nodded.

"Don't worry your pretty little head, I didn't want you to be the werewolf. Which is why I triggered Tyler's curse." Katherine says, "Believe it or not though, they're hard to come by."

"Oh my god, Tyler." Elena covers her mouth in shock as she stare at Sorelle. Sorelle bit down on her bottom lip and looked back at Katherine.

"What else?"

"A witch to do the spell." Katherine responds before rolling her eyes, "Mine bailed, but little Bonnie will do just fine."

"What else." Elena grits her teeth as she glare at the Petrova vampire. Katherine quirks an eyebrow, lips slightly twitching into a small smirk.

"A vampire."

"Caroline." Sorelle's breath hitched, no way. Absolutely fucking not. She was not about to lose two of her best friends.

"Could have been anyone, I suppose." Katherine ponders, "But I like the poetry of Caroline." Sorelle gives her a glare full of hate.

"You're fucking sick." Katherine only gave her a faux look of pity. Elena scoffs and shook her head, glaring at the vampire also.

"So you were gonna just hand us all over to be killed?" Katherine tilts her head and her voice dropped into a whisper.

"Better you die than I." The vampire slowly turned around and began to walk away only to stop in her tracks.

"Although, there is one thing that Klaus wants more than breaking the curse." Katherine reveals, turning back around to the two girls who stares at her with knitted eyebrows.

Sorelle narrows her eyes at her, "What is it?"

"His mate." Katherine answers with a smirk, "Soulmate, mate whatever. He's been searching for her for the past centuries but could never find anything. I thought about finding her myself and using her to ask for my freedom but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed like it was a lost cause. I mean, if Klaus couldn't find her, how could I?"

"Mate?" Elena gapes at the vampire who roll her eyes.

"I don't know much details about it. The time that I was around him, he talked about her constantly. It got quite annoying sometimes."

"What the hell." Sorelle mutters as she rubs her temples. Klaus? Mate? She pitied the girl who was his mate, bless her soul.

"Good luck though." Katherine wiggles her fingers sarcastically at them and turned, going back into the tomb where the darkness had completely engulfed her. Elena let out a shuddering breath, looking over at Sorelle who gave her an uneasy look.

"What are we gonna do?" Sorelle gave a soft shake of her head.

"I don't know, Lena. I wish I knew." Elena bit down on her lip, scratching the back of her head anxiously.

"We should go." Sorelle suggests quietly which the Gilbert girl slowly nodded in response. She let out a heavy sigh and grabbed her bag along with the camping lamp. The two turned towards the stairs when the sound of footsteps was heard.

Stefan came into view and a breath of relief left Sorelle's lips, "Stef! Hey." Stefan gave her a worried look and looked between her and his girlfriend.

"What are you doing here?" Elena asks as she walked up to him. Sorelle mentally groaned, Caroline must've told him.

"I could ask you guys the same question." Stefan answers with furrowed eyebrows.

"Caroline told you." Elena sighed in annoyance.

Stefan shook his head, "No, she kept your secret, but it didn't take long for me to figure out what was so important that you'd have to keep it from me."

"We knew that you'd stop us." Sorelle breathes out shrugging her shoulders.

Stefan walked up to her and places his hand on her shoulder, "Listen to me." He looked over to Elena, "Whatever she said to you is a lie."

"I doubt that." Sorelle was quick to answer with a tsk.

"Do not listen to her." Stefan pressed, giving her a pleading look as he pointed towards the tomb, "She is a liar, Sorelle." She shared a look with Elena who let out a sigh.

"What if she isn't?" Elena snapped making Stefan look over at her in surprise. "You didn't hear what she said."

Stefan shook his head and made his way over to the Gilbert girl, "You don't have to worry. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."

"That's the problem." Elena scoffs, "You won't. But you'll die trying. How is that any better?"

"There's nothing you can do, Stefan." Katherine spoke up announcing her presence in a scratchy tone before she glanced over to Elena and Sorelle, "I haven't even told you the best part of the story."

"He killed them." Katherine murmurs softly, "My entire family. Just to get back at me for running." Her eyes hardened, "Whatever you do to escape Klaus, he will get his vengeance. On your friends, your family—on anyone that you've ever loved." Sorelle gaped at Katherine, what the actual fuck. Stefan quickly grabbed Elena's arms making her turn to look at him.

"No. Look at me." Stefan breathes out, "No. Do not listen to her, okay?"

Katherine scoffed out a laugh, "Always the protector. But even you must realize that she's doomed."

"There's nothing you can do to stop it." Katherine stated harshly before she raises her eyebrow, a smirk ghosted on her lips, "Unless of course, you have this." She lifted her hand up and Sorelle's eyes went wide at what she was holding. The bitch had the moonstone.

"What?" Elena mutters in shock.

Stefan scoffs and pointed at Katherine accusingly, "Oh, no, no. There it is." Katherine merely gave him a confused stare, "That's the ultimate lie, isn't it." He moved closer to Katherine with a glare, "You spun this whole thing so that we would have to get the stone from you, didn't you?"

"I didn't spin anything, Stefan." Katherine shook her head, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's the truth."

"No. Let me guess." Stefan points at the moonstone, "You wanna trade that stone for your freedom, hm?" His eyes narrowed even more, "You manipulative, psychotic bitch."

Katherine scoffs, "My freedom? That's where you're wrong, Stefan. I don't want my freedom because when Klaus shows up to kill us all and he will. I'll be in the tomb where no vampires will enter because they can't get out."

"I'll be the safest psychotic bitch in town."

Stefan froze before he slowly turned over to look at Sorelle and Elena. Sorelle let out a scoff and threw up her arms.

"Well, we're royally fucked."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle had asked Stefan to drop her off at his house which he did. Her stomach has been in knots ever since she learned more things about Klaus. Her friends' lives are on the line, hell even her life too. She opened the door and walked inside, grabbing her phone from the pocket of her jeans and dialed Caroline's number.

"Care?" Sorelle's voice cracked slightly, "You home?" Caroline gave her a hum, a loud crunch emits from the phone and Sorelle knew she was probably eating something.

"Yeah, just eating chips in bed right now. What's up? Are you coming home tonight or?" Caroline asks, shooting question after question which elicited a soft laugh to leave Sorelle's lips.

"No, no. I think I'm gonna stay another night at the boarding house. I have to talk to Damon about something." Caroline pouts and threw a chip into her mouth.

"Okay, well." Caroline says with a mouthful, "Come home soon, I want to stay up watching romcom movies with my best friend." Sorelle felt tears welling up in her eyes, she swallowed thickly and breathed out a shaky sigh.

"I'll be home soon."

Caroline makes some kissing noises, "Okay. Love you, bye!" Sorelle mutters a 'bye' back before ending the call. She fell back against the entrance door, sliding down to the floor as she felt more tears roll down her face.

"Ellie?" Sorelle heard Damon call out to her. She glanced up from the ground and the raven-haired vampire's heart dropped when he took in her appearance.

"D. . ." Sorelle mutters out, her voice cracking. Damon quickly walked up to her and fell to the floor beside her, pulling the werewolf into his arms. Sorelle instantly fell apart and started sobbing loudly.

"Care. . ." Sorelle hiccups, "And Elena too I—" Damon shushes her and caresses the back of her head gently.

"Just let it out, I'm here."

. . . . . . .

"Hey, sleeping beauty." Sorelle hears someone call out to her. She let out a groan and shoved her face deeper into the pillow. A gasp of surprise leaves her lips when she felt the blanket get ripped off of her body.

"Damon!" Sorelle shrieks staring at the male in shock, "What the hell?!" Damon roll his eyes and threw the blanket beside her.

"Wake up, we're gonna go to Elena's soon. Beside, you're in bed and you got your drool all over my pillows." Sorelle's hand shot up to her lips and she gave the raven-haired vampire a glare when she realizes that she, in fact, did not drool. Damon winks and quickly ran out of the room before Sorelle could attack him.

"I'm gonna kill you, Damon!" Damon simply shouted an 'I love you too' back in response eliciting an eye roll from the werewolf. Sorelle let out a sharp exhale before she got up from Damon's bed to go get ready.

"Why are we going to Elena's?" Sorelle asked announcing her presence to the Salvatores who are in the living room. She had taken a quick shower and wore some clothes that she left behind in one of Damon's empty drawers.

"Is that my jacket?" Damon squint his eyes at Sorelle whilst pointing a finger at her.

Sorelle gave him a shrug, "Yeah and no I'm not giving it back." Damon huffed and rolled his eyes, truth be told, he didn't really mind if the Madden girl wore his clothes.

"We went to talk to Katherine." Stefan reveals causing Sorelle's eyebrows to shoot up in surprise.

"Really? And just last night you were giving me and Lena shit for visiting her. What's with the sudden change of heart, Stef?" A snort leaves Damon's lips at her remark, the raven-haired vampire was slightly upset when Sorelle had told him about her visiting Katherine but he eventually let it go because he knew the werewolf was capable of defending herself if anything would to happen.

Stefan roll his eyes, "I did say sorry about that, Elle." A smirk of amusement grew on Sorelle's lips, "But to add on, we tried to get her to give up the moonstone."

"That didn't work out too well, did it?"

"Nope." Damon answers with a scoff, popping the 'p'.

"Well," Sorelle exhaled sharply, "Let's go to Elena's house now, shall we?"

. . . . . . .

Sorelle leans back against the kitchen counter whilst standing beside Damon. She picked up a tangerine from the fruit bowl and begin peeling it. Sorelle, Stefan, and Damon had arrived at Elena's a couple minutes ago, the three of them along with Elena were all huddled inside the kitchen.

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break." Stefan reveals as he look at Elena.

"Which means no spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice." Sorelle stated throwing a tangerine slice in her mouth, "Ergo, you live."

"How do you destroy it?" Elena asks with a sigh, looking between the trio as she leaned against the kitchen doorway.

"By releasing it from the moonstone." Stefan answers as he leaned down on the counter.

Elena purses her lips before letting out a small scoff, "How do you guys even know this is gonna work?"

"Because we have a crafty witch on our side." Damon responded.

Elena gave him a look, "You discussed it with Bonnie."

"Bon Bon agreed to do anything she could to help us." Sorelle hums.

"It's Katherine who has the moonstone." Elena remarks, "She's not gonna give it to you."

"We're gonna get it from her." Stefan quickly shot back. Damon walked around Sorelle and towards the Gilbert girl.

"Well, what he means to say. . ." Damon drawls out, "Is that we will pry it from her cold dead hand if we have to."

"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone and get out in time for her to return it." Stefan says listing out the details of their plan.

"Wow," Elena mutters out sarcastically, "I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out."

"I offered to go in and get it myself since I'm not a vampire but thing one and thing two over here is not allowing me." Sorelle said with a scoff and Damon immediately gave her a glare.

"Absolutely not!" Damon huffed, "Don't even think about mentioning that again." Sorelle shot him an exasperated look.

"Oh, yeah no. I agree with them." Elena says with wide eyes as she stare at the Madden girl, "You are not doing that."

"See." Stefan says giving the werewolf a satisfactory grin, "It's three against one." Sorelle rolled her eyes and mutters a 'whatever' under her breath.

"But also more one thing." Elena adds as she look between the two Salvatores, "I don't want you to do it either." Sorelle snorts whilst Damon and Stefan shared a confused look.

"What are you taking about? Elena, we don't have a choice." Stefan questions with furrowed eyebrows.

Elena gives him a look of concern, "What about Klaus?"

"We'll find him right after we get the moonstone." Stefan answers which made Elena let out a frustrated sigh.

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the three of you?" Elena states pointing between them all.

"Lena, we have a chance to save you here." Sorelle mutters softly, walking towards the doppelgänger. "If we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your life."

"I know." Elena swallows thickly, "Everyone keeps on saying that." She pushed herself off from the chair and walked away. Sorelle shared a look with the two vampires and let out a heavy sigh.

"That went well."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle was currently at the Forbes house, Caroline asleep beside her. The two were watching a romcom movie and the Forbes girl fell asleep halfway through it. Sorelle heard her phone buzzing on the nightstand, she furrow her eyebrows together before reaching over to grab it whilst pausing the movie on the TV. A text from Elena was shown on her lockscreen.

Elena:
pls come to the boarding house
i want to talk with rose and i need u
here with me in case anything happens

Sorelle:
omw

Sorelle shoved her phone inside her pocket, grabbing a blank sticky note that was on Caroline's desk and scribbled out a quick note for the blonde girl, letting her know where she was going. She grabbed her car keys that was on the key rack and made her way over to her car.

The drive to the Boarding House wasn't long, probably ten minutes total. Sorelle turned into the driveway and she sees Elena waiting outside the entrance, her eyes locked on her phone as she leaned against the pillar.

"Hey." Sorelle greets the Gilbert girl who looked up from her phone.

"Hi!" Elena breathes out as she turned off her phone and placed it in her pocket.

Sorelle quirks an eyebrow, "So, what are we asking her?" Elena purses her lips and signaled the werewolf to follow her.

"You'll see." Sorelle let out a huff as she walked inside the boarding house.

"It's not nice to leave a girl naked so early in the morning." Sorelle turned over hearing Rose and her jaw dropped at the vampire's appearance.

"No fucking way."

"Whoa!" Rose mutters in surprise, "Sorry. I thought you were. . ." Elena's mouth gaped open and closed for a moment before she quickly turned away.

"I-uh, s-sorry. I—"

"There's no one else here." Rose said reassuringly.

"Actually, I came to talk to you." Elena inhaled sharply. Rose purses her lip and send her a quick smile, pointing her thumb behind her.

"Then I should probably get dressed." Elena slowly nodded and Rose turned away to get dressed. Sorelle blinks and let out a breathy chuckle.

"Well, well, well. Can't say I'm surprised." Sorelle chortles earning a playful nudge from Elena who let out a laugh. The two proceeded to walk over to the couch, sitting down as they wait for Rose.

"So, what is it that you want to talk about?" Rose asked as she walked into the living room, fully clothed now.

"I want you to take us to go see your friend Slater." Sorelle and Rose's eyes went wide simultaneously.

"What?!" Sorelle shouts, her eyebrows knitted together in anger, "Are you crazy?!"

"Nope, absolutely not." Rose shook her head, "It's a bad idea."

"No, it's not." Elena sighs causing Sorelle to mentally face-palm, "From what Stefan told me, your friend Slater obviously has more information about Klaus. You and Damon just gave up before you got it."

"Because somebody blew up a coffee shop with us in it." Rose retorts with wide eyes. Elena simply just give her a look.

"There's more to learn. We just have to find a way to learn it."

"Lena." Sorelle groans in annoyance, "Seriously?"

"Yes." Elena mutters giving the Madden girl a desperate look, "The more we know about Klaus the better."

"Why are you coming to me with this?" Rose asks with a raise of an eyebrow. Elena inhales sharply and shot the vampire a look.

"Because you owe me." Elena turns to Sorelle and nodded at her, "Us. One word from the both of us and Damon and Stefan could have killed you for kidnapping us."

"Or maybe it's because you know that they wouldn't want you doing this." Rose replies with a scoff, "And their moonstone caper gives you a chance to sneak away."

"We're having a disagreement, okay?" Elena roll her eyes, "They're willing to risk everyone that I love, and I'm not."

Rose softened her eyes, "They're just trying to protect you."

"And you've proven that you couldn't care less whether I'm protected or not." Elena remarks, "So we're back to you taking us to Slater."

"You're agreeing with this?" Rose turns to Sorelle with a raised brow. Sorelle let out a sigh and roll her eyes.

"No, but I'm not letting her do this alone." Elena beams at the werewolf, a triumph smile sat on her lips. Sorelle playfully glares at her and tsked, "Lose the smile, Gilbert." Elena quickly purses her lips to hide her smile but it didn't really work.

Rose let out a huff and sat down beside Elena, "What exactly do you hope to achieve by this?" Elena stare at her for a moment before lifting a brow.

"How would you like to be able to walk during the daylight?" Sorelle's eyebrows shot up in surprise, damn Elena—she's really going to that route.

"I've been a slave to shadows for five hundred years. What do you think?" Rose scoffs.

Elena shrugs her shoulders, "I think I know a witch who's willing to do whatever it takes to help. If you're willing to make a deal."

"Shit, Lena." Sorelle coughed out a laugh, "Didn't think you had it in you." Rose scowls at the werewolf before looking back at the Gilbert girl.

"Alright, deal."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle trailed behind Elena and Rose as they walked up the stairs. They had arrived just a couple minutes ago and were currently making their way to Slater's apartment.

"Slater!" Rose calls out, knocking on the door loudly, "Slater, it's Rose. Open up!" A moment passed and Rose turned to look at the two girls.

"He's not home." Rose shrugs, "Sorry." Sorelle roll her eyes and brushed past Elena.

"Yeah, no." Sorelle scoffs, "We didn't come all the way out here just for nothing." She grabbed onto the door handles and used her supernatural strength to push it wide open, the chains that were wrapped around the handles on the other end fell to the ground when Sorelle opened it.

Sorelle turned and gave Rose a sarcastic smirk, "After you." Rose roll her eyes before walking inside. Elena sent a smile to Sorelle who gave her a wink in return.

"Slater?" Rose calls out as she glanced around the apartment. Sorelle brushes past Rose, looking around as well before her eyes fell on a very dead body.

"Uh, Rose, Lena?" Sorelle calls out hesitantly causing the two to turn to her with furrowed brows, "Is that your little vampy friend, Rose? Cause if it is, I don't think he's gonna be much help." Rose walked up beside her and followed her gaze and her eyes went wide in recognition.

"Oh my god." Elena ran up to them and gasped when she saw Slater's body completely desiccated, a stake stabbed in his heart. Rose swallowed before she slowly made her way over to Slater and began to drag his body away. Sorelle turns and give a sympathetic look to Elena who was anxiously rubbing her forehead.

"We should check out some of his stuff over there." Sorelle points to where all the computers were placed. Elena nodded and started her way over there with Sorelle following behind her.

"Looks like whoever blew up the coffee shop. ." Elena turns to Rose who was walking up to them, "Found him and killed him for his information."

"Yeah." Rose breathes out, "Probably to stop him from helping people like us. The guy was a vampire almanac. Knowing too much information just bit him in the ass."

"Find anything?" Sorelle asked and Elena shook her head with a sigh. The two girls flinched when a sudden brightness appeared and Elena looked up at Rose with wide eyes.

"What are you—"

"Tempered glass." Rose answers as she stare out the window, "UV rays can't penetrate." Elena's face fell into a look of understanding. Sorelle frowns, she felt bad for the vampire.

"I used to just come here and watch the day." Rose mutters as she continue to stare out the window. Elena purses her lips and looked down at the framed photo in her hands.

"I'm sorry about Slater." Elena said softly, Rose didn't respond and turned to look at her.

"Any luck?" Elena licked her lips and grabbed the computer mouse to click on the screen but an error message popped up saying the username or password was incorrect.

"Um, it's password-protected. I can't get in." Elena shook her head causing Rose to let out a sigh.

"Then this is pointless, let's just go." Suddenly the sound of a door opening made the trio turn their heads in the direction to where it was coming from.

"What the hell was that?" Sorelle mutters out as she stare at Rose. Rose turns to look at her for a moment before walking away.

"Stay here." Rose walked up to a pair of double doors and pushed it open, eyes flickering around the room before her gaze stopped in one particular spot.

"Alice?" Who the fuck?

"Rose!" The Alice girl cried out running into the vampire's arms who awkwardly hugged her back, "He's dead!" Sorelle assumed that this girl was Slater's girlfriend.

Elena frowns and glanced over at Sorelle, "Can you come with me to get some tea for her?" Sorelle made a face and pouts,

"Do I have to?"

"Yes."

"Ugh, fine." Sorelle grumbles as she followed Elena into the kitchen. As the Gilbert girl pour out some tea in a small cup, Rose walked into the kitchen, taking a seat on the empty chair beside her.

"She found him a few minutes before we did." Rose stated, Elena looked up briefly at her.

"How is she?"

"Overreacting. Big-time." A snort leaves Sorelle's lips at Rose's answer. Elena shot her a glare before looking over at Rose with a frown.

"Her boyfriend just died. There's no such thing as overreacting."

"Those tears are for her." Rose remarks, "She didn't care about Slater." Elena gave her a confused look, "She was only dating him long enough to see if he'd turn her." Sorelle choked out a laugh and shook her head.

"I knew it, the way she cried rubbed me off the wrong way plus she didn't really look sad." Rose sent the werewolf a quick smirk. Elena gaped at her before turning around and walking over to Alice, handing her the cup of tea. Alice took it and gave her a grateful nod.

"Thank you." Alice's eyes flickered around Elena's face, "You look really familiar." Her gaze turned to Sorelle, "You too." Sorelle furrow her eyebrows in confusion, what? "Did you guys know Slater?"

"Not personally, no." Elena answers for them. Sorelle turned and gave Rose a deadpanned look.

"Did this Slater dude really date her?" Rose chortles in response, shrugging her shoulders as if she was telling her 'yeah'.

"I just knew that he kept detailed records of all of his vampire contacts and I was hoping that he could point me towards Klaus." Alice scoffs and gave her a look.

"Doubtful. Klaus doesn't wanna be pointed out."

Elena sighs, "Do you know Slater's computer password?" Sorelle snorts before quickly looking away when Alice gave her a glare.

"Are you seriously asking me that right now?" Alice scowls, "I just saw my boyfriend with a stake through his heart."

Elena mentally roll her eyes, "I understand that. Do you know his password?" Alice gaped at her before looking away with a scoff.

"Who do you think you are?" Sorelle let out a loud annoyed groan and turned to Alice's direction.

"Hey, Dracula lover!" Alice looks up at the werewolf in confusion. Sorelle raises an eyebrow at her, "You tell us the password and I'll convince our very good friend Rose here to turn you." Rose gawked at Sorelle in shock while Alice's eyes lit up.

"Okay, this way." Alice shot up from her seat and motioned the three of them to follow her towards Slater's computers. Elena gave Sorelle a quick thankful grin, the Madden girl simply waved her off as if saying that it was nothing. Rose and Sorelle got up from where they were sitting in the kitchen and trailed behind Elena.

"Someone's been here." Alice reveals as she looked through the computer after she had logged in, "The hard drive's completely wiped out."

"Yeah, probably by whoever killed him." Sorelle comments as she watch Alice search through the computer.

"Lucky for you, Slater was paranoid." Alice exhaled sharply, turning to a different monitor, "Everything's backed up on our remote server." Rose took that chance to lean over to Sorelle.

"You know that she's not going anywhere near my blood, right?" Sorelle turned to her and gave her sly grin.

"I know." Rose's eyebrows shot up, "She doesn't, so shh." Rose shook her head in amusement as Sorelle moves up beside Elena who was hovering over Alice.

"Kristen Stewart." Alice scoffs as she click through the files, "God, was he obvious."

"These are all leads to vampires?" Elena asks as she look at the screen.

"Slater was obsessed." Alice responds, "Almost as much as me."

"What about that one?" Rose questions as she peered over Sorelle's shoulders, "Cody Webber. They exchanged dozens of emails about Elijah."

"I could call him." Alice suggests as she looked back at Elena. The doppelgänger hands Alice the phone and let out a loud sigh.

"Tell him that we're trying to send a message to Klaus." Sorelle snapped her head over to Elena with wide eyes, "The doppelgänger's alive and she's ready to surrender."

"What the fuck?!" Sorelle blurts out as she glares at Elena, "Are you serious?!" Elena swallowed harshly and avoided eye contact with the werewolf.

"Oh my god!" Alice's eyes went wide, "I knew I recognized you." Sorelle gave her a scowl.

"Shut up." Alice purses her lips and quickly turned around.

"Just get him the message, please." Elena mutters to Alice who nodded. Elena then turned and walked away from them. Sorelle followed her into the kitchen, anger fueled in her body.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Sorelle yells at the Gilbert girl, "This whole time this was a suicide mission?"

"I'm getting Klaus' attention, Elle."

Sorelle threw her hands up, "And why the hell do you want that?!" Rose joined them and gave Elena a look.

"You do realize that if Klaus knows you're alive, he'll find you and he'll kill you." Elena rubbed her lips together and stayed silent which made Rose and Sorelle's eyes go wide in realization.

"Which is exactly what you wanted all along." Rose mutters out in shock as Sorelle gripped at her hair, completely stressed.

"It's either me or my family." Elena shook her head.

"This isn't going to end well, Lena." Sorelle told the doppelgänger with a shake of her head before the sound of footsteps was heard and the werewolf looked up to see Alice coming towards them with a huge smile on her face.

"Cody is on his way and he really wants to meet you." Alice turned to Sorelle and points a finger at her. "Quick question, what's your name?" Sorelle made her face.

"Why do you wanna know?"

"Because I think I just saw a picture of you when I was looking through the files." Sorelle didn't say a word, walking towards to where the computers were. Alice let out a small squeak, not expecting the girl to move so quickly and rushed after her. Elena furrow her eyebrows together and followed the two of them.

"Show me the files." Sorelle demands as her eyes frantically glanced around. Alice's fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard and a folder titled 'Madden Werewolf Line' popped up and Sorelle's heart dropped to her stomach.

"Oh my god, Elle." Elena mutters out with wide eyes as she placed a hand on the werewolf's shoulder. Alice clicked on a file and a picture of her as a baby with her mom holding her and her dad beside them was displayed on the screen. The two adults had a huge smile adoring on their lips—underneath the picture was names, Benjamin Madden, Celine Madden, and Sorelle Madden.

"How did you find this?" Alice stared at her, her eyes basically bulging out of the sockets.

"No way! You're a Madden werewolf? I thought you guys were all extinct! The last Madden werewolf that was recorded was Celine and Sorelle Madden but I heard Celine passed away a few years ago. . ." Alice's jaw droppped in realization, "You're her! Sorelle! Oh my god!" Sorelle ignored their girl's excitement and pointed at the screen.

"Show me more."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle spent at least twenty minutes or so looking through the files that had to do everything with her werewolf side. Most of the stuff that she found, she already knows about such as where the family tree originated from which was New Orleans and she also found out that she's basically royalty as the blood that flows through her comes from one of the original seven werewolf packs, she vaguely remembers her mother telling her something about that but she thought that she was just joking—apparently not.

The file had also mentioned how the whole family line was almost wiped out from some unknown reason and with the passing of her mother a few years ago, she was the last living Madden wolf.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" Elena asks as she walked up to Sorelle. Sorelle glanced up and gave her a small smile whilst nodding.

"Yeah. Most of the questions I always had are answered." She let out a sharp exhale, "Apparently I'm the last living Madden, there's no records of anyone else beside me." Elena gave her a sad frown and pulled the girl into an embrace. Sorelle let out a sigh and wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm sorry." Elena mutters quietly, "Just know that you'll always have us, okay?" Sorelle nodded against her shoulder.

"I know."

"I hate to break this little emotional moment but what the hell are you two doing here." Sorelle and Elena broke apart and a gasp left the doppelgänger's lips at the sight of Damon glaring at them.

"Damon, hey. . ." Sorelle awkwardly waved only for his eyes to narrow even more. Sorelle nodded with pursed lips and looked away from him.

"What are you doing here?" Elena stammers out in shock. Rose walked in causing Elena to turn around and look at her.

"You called him?"

"I'm sorry, Elena." Rose apologized but Elena narrows her eyes at her.

"You said you understood."

"She lied." Damon snapped and in that moment Alice walks up to him with an excited grin.

"Damon Salvatore! No way!"

"Get rid of her!" Both Damon and Sorelle exclaims in unison, Rose quickly grabbed the girl's arms and dragged her away.

Damon shot the werewolf a look, silently telling her that she's not off the hook just yet. Sorelle roll her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. Damon moved towards her and grabbed her hand before turning back to Elena.

"Come on, we're leaving." Elena quickly shook her head in response.

"No." Damon stopped in his tracks and turned around to glare at her.

"I said we're leaving."

"I'm not going with you." Elena gritted through her teeth. Sorelle mentally groaned, here comes another love quarrel.

"You do not get to make any decisions anymore." Damon retorts glaring down at the Gilbert girl.

"Damon." Sorelle warns but the raven-haired vampire ignored her.

"When have I ever made a decision?" Elena shot back with a scowl, "You and Stefan do that for me. Now, this, this is my decision."

"Who's gonna save your life while you're out here making decisions?"

"You're not listening to me, Damon." Elena snaps, "I don't want to be saved." Damon furrow his eyebrows together, "Not if it means that Klaus is gonna kill every single person that I love."

"You let her do this?" Damon turns to Sorelle with a glare, the werewolf put her hands up in defense.

"Hey. I didn't know she was going to do this till we got here."

Damon narrowed his eyes, "And you didn't text or call me?" Sorelle pulled her lips into a straight line and shrugged.

"Sorry. Girlfriend code." Damon roll his eyes in exasperation before turning back to Elena.

"Get your ass out of the door before I throw you over my shoulder and carry you out myself." Elena only squint her eyes at him. Damon grabbed onto her arms and Elena tried to wriggle out of his grasp but Damon was stronger than her. Sorelle grabbed onto the raven-haired vampire's wrist causing him to look over at her.

"D." Sorelle grits out and Damon immediately let Elena go with an eye-roll. Elena let out a pained groan and tried swinging her fist towards Damon who instantly caught it. A gasp left the doppelgänger's lips as Damon leaned down.

"Don't ever do that again." Sorelle pulled Damon away with a huff.

"Calm down." Damon gave her a scowl and opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by Rose.

"Damon, can you compel Alice to forget about all of this?"

Damon squint his eyes at Sorelle for a moment, "We're gonna have a talk later, missy." He turned around and went into the room that Alice was in. Sorelle rolled her eyes and gave Elena a look. The Gilbert girl gave her a frown in response.

"Told you this wasn't gonna go well."

"Why did you call him?" Elena asks, glaring at Rose who was sitting on the couch.

"Because I'm not going to let you get yourself killed." Rose answers with narrowed eyes. Elena let out a huff and plopped down on the couch.

"Time to go." Damon said walking towards them, "Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day." In an instant, the doors bursted open and Damon was quick to stand in front of Sorelle and Elena.

"We're here to meet the doppelgänger."

Elena clears her throat, "Thank you for coming." As she tried to move towards them, Damon's arm shot out in front of her, stopping her from going anywhere.

"I will break your arm." Damon mutters out harshly under his breath. He turned to look at the vampire, "There's nothing here for you."

A pained groan came from the vampire who was near the entrance, his body dropped to the ground dead causing everyone to look back in shock. A low gasp left Sorelle's lips when she made eye contact with Elijah who seemed to be very much alive.

"Oh fuck."

Damon froze and his eyes went wide at the sight of the Original. Elijah sped towards the two other vampires and Sorelle heard a whoosh sound and she turned slightly to see that Rose had ran away. Elena gulps and moved closer to the werewolf, gripping on her arm tightly.

Elijah glanced between the two vampires before his gaze fell on Damon.

"I killed you." Damon furrow his eyebrows with a scowl, "You were dead."

"For centuries now." Elijah simply stated before he turned to the vampire on his right, "Who are you?"

"Who are you?" The vampire retorts causing Elijah to raise an amused brow.

"I'm Elijah." The vampire's eyes slightly went wide at his answer.

"We were gonna bring her to you—for Klaus." He stammers out, the Original turned to look at Elena who gulps anxiously, "She's the doppelgänger. I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus would wanna see her."

"Does anyone else know that you're here?" Elijah asks, his gaze still locked on Elena. Sorelle winced, his stare was was so intense that the poor Gilbert girl was gripping on her arm like her life depended on it.

The vampire shook his head, "No." A small smirk grew on Elijah's face as he glanced towards him and his friend.

"Well, then you have been incredibly helpful." His hands thrusted out into their chests and a grunt of pain immediately left the two vampires' lips. Their bodies dropped to the ground in an instant, their hearts sitting in the palms of Elijah's hands.

Sorelle gasped loudly and gripped on the back of Damon's shirt. Elijah's eyes shot up to Sorelle's as he dropped the dead vampires' hearts to the ground, the werewolf's breath immediately hitched in her throat. A faint grin was plastered on the Original's lips as he held eye contact with Sorelle.

Damon moved to go towards him but in a blink of an eye, Elijah was gone. Damon stopped, blinking in surprise before turning around to face Sorelle and Elena. Sorelle gawked at the bodies of the vampires and let out a staggered breath.

"What the fuck just happened."
