001. Wrong Place, Wrong Time

CHAPTER ONE,
wrong place, wrong time.

SORELLE LET OUT A GROAN, feeling that someone was shaking her roughly as if they were desperate for her to wake up. She groggily opens her eyes to see Elena staring down at her with fear-filled eyes.

"Elena?" Sorelle whispers in a daze, her eyes then trailed off of the doppelgänger and around the strange room that they were in, "What the fuck?"

"Someone grabbed us." Elena rushed out quietly, her voice slightly trembling, "I-I don't know where we are—this woman and a man too, I think they're vampires. I tried to get the woman to tell me what they wanted but she knocked me out and—" Elena's breath hitched when Sorelle suddenly place a finger on her lips. The brunette stare wide-eyed at her, confused as to why she had cut her off.

Sorelle took her finger off and places it on her lips, silently telling the doppelgänger to be quiet before tapping her ear.

'I hear them' The werewolf mouthed in which the doppelgänger mouthed back 'What are they saying?' Sorelle tilt her head towards the direction where she heard the unfamiliar voices but ultimately—she couldn't make out any words as they were talking in a hushed tone.

Elena purses her lips, pondering in thought for a moment before grabbing the werewolf by the arm which made Sorelle look back at her. Elena nodded her head towards the direction where the voices were coming from and Sorelle seems to get the message and took the doppelgänger's hand before the two began their way up the stairs.

"So, you called him?" Sorelle heard a man ask. Her eyebrows furrowed together, him?

"No, I called one of his contacts." A woman's voice responded back, "You know how this works." As the two girls got closer, Sorelle was quick to realize that the strangers were in fact, vampires. Their scent entered the werewolf's nose causing her to crinkle her nose in distaste.

The male didn't seem satisfied with the answer he was given, "Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" Elijah? What the hell? Sorelle glances back at Elena who stared back at her confused and scared, her hands were shaking a bit as she held on Sorelle's arm.

"They say he got it."

"Wonderful," The man drawls out, "And what?"

"So that's it, Trevor." The woman sighs, "He either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait." 'Trevor, huh' Sorelle thought, finally she got a name.

"Look!" Trevor begins nervously, "I-It's not too late. We can leave the both of them here. We don't have to go through with this." This Elijah dude must be real fucking scary if he has these vampires scared shitless.

"I'm sick of running." The woman snaps back. Sorelle's eyebrows shot up, running?

Trevor scoffs, "Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying."

"Elijah's old-school. If he accepts our deal, we're free." The woman calmly stated. Elena decided to take a step forward and the floorboard creaks underneath the two causing Sorelle to close her eyes in despair. Damn it, Elena.

"You!" The woman spat out walking towards them. Sorelle was quick to push Elena behind her which made the doppelgänger gasp in surprise.

The woman squint her eyes at the werewolf for a moment before glancing between them, "There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong, understand?"

Sorelle scowled, her eyes momentarily flashing amber as she glared at the vampire, "I suggest you lose that fucking attitude." The woman simply let out a small chuckle, shocked that a mere girl could threaten her so easily.

"I can smell the werewolf on you, you're not as strong as me." The woman retorts, "I suggest you don't give me a reason to kill you, I would hate for that to happen."

"Try me." A growl leaves the vampire's lips, dark veins began to appear under her eyes as she got closer to them. Elena quickly pull Sorelle away causing the woman to stop in her tracks.

"Stop—please." Elena breathes out, her hand slightly trembling as she held out her palm towards the woman, "Don't hurt her." The vampire merely roll her eyes in response, turning to leave only to stop when Sorelle called out to her.

"Hey, vampy! Who's Elijah?"

The woman glanced back at her, Sorelle saw a flicker of fear in her eyes. "He's your worst nightmare."

. . . . . . .

"Why am I here?" Sorelle hear Elena ask the woman again. She was currently laying down on the couch, throwing a ball ( that she found somewhere on the floor ) in the air every minute or so cause she was bored.

"Keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them." The woman said as she turned on the lamp light before walking around to place a big portrait of whatever to block the sun.

"Why won't you?" Sorelle scoffs, catching the ball that she had just threw.

"That's another one."

Sorelle roll her eyes and sat up, "Look, vampy. The least you can do is answer our questions—you kidnapped us, remember? We can't really go anywhere."

"Exactly." Elena agreed crossing her arms whilst glaring at the vampire, "What do you want from us?"

A sigh leaves the woman's lips, "I personally want nothing. I'm just a delivery service."

"What delivery?" Sorelle questions before scowling, "For Elijah?"

A breathy chuckle leaves the short-haired vampire, "Two points to the eavesdroppers."

"Who is he?" Elena was quick to ask, "Is he a vampire?"

"He's one of the vampires. The Originals." The woman answers as she organized a pile of books.

"What do you mean the Originals?"

"Again with the questions," The vampire sighs, "Haven't the Salvatores been teaching you vampire history?" Sorelle and Elena both froze, snapping their heads over to one another with wide eyes.

"You know Stefan and Damon?" Sorelle asked the vampire with a raise of an eyebrow.

"I know of them." The vampire corrected, "A hundred years back, a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan. She said he was one of the good ones." A snicker leaves Sorelle's lips, Stefan was seriously popular with the ladies it seems.

"More of a sucker for the bad boys though, but I digress."

Sorelle hums, a small 'tsk' leaves her lips as she give her a nod, "Something that I can agree on with you." A mere chuckle leaves the vampire's lips. Elena gave Sorelle a pointed look, the werewolf just playfully roll her eyes at her.

"Who are the Originals?" Elena pressed causing the short-haired vampire to sigh and close the book that she was looking at.

"Trevor and I have been running for five hundred years." The vampire answered. Sorelle's eyebrows shot up in surprise, holy fuck. "We're tired. We want it over."

"We're using you to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess."

Elena furrows her eyebrows together, "But why me? And Sorelle?"

"Oh, her?" The woman pointed a finger at the werewolf, "She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, you are the only one who's important right now." The vampire was quick to look at Sorelle and add, "No offense though." Sorelle simply waved her off whilst rolling her eyes, she didn't really care. She knew that Elena was more important because she was a doppelgänger.

"And it's because you're a Petrova doppelgänger." It's like she read Sorelle's mind, "You're the key to breaking the curse."

"Curse?" Elena mutters in confusion before her face fell in realization, "The Sun and the Moon curse?"

"Before you answer that, can you tell us your name? This whole time I've been referring to you as vampy in my head." Elena pursed her lips to hide the smile that was itching to show. Sorelle always had a knack to make situations less. . . scary.

"Rose." answered the vampire, amusement laced in her tone. Rose then turned to Elena and gave her a raise of an eyebrow, "So, you do know your history."

"What do you mean I'm the key though?" Elena questions as she started to walk towards Rose. "The moonstone is what breaks the curse."

"No." Rose bluntly answers which made Sorelle look at her in confusion, no?

"The moonstone is what binds the curse. Sacrifice is what breaks it."

"Sacrifice?" Elena mutters slowly as her eyebrows knitted together.

"The blood of the doppelgänger." Rose stated, pausing at the end before continuing her sentence. "You're the doppelgänger—which means in order to break the curse you're the one that has to die." Sorelle's eyebrows shot up in disbelief, what the actual fuck? Elena stood frozen, gaping at the vampire completely speechless.

"I have to die?"

The vampire purses her lips and nod, "Yes. There's no other way."

Sorelle scoffs, "Bullshit. There's always a way, you just have to look hard enough." Rose roll her eyes and let out a sarcastic chuckle.

"Sure, I mean—you can try. Either way, she has to die or else it won't work."

Elena inhaled sharply, a determined look plastered on her face. "Tell me more." Sorelle heard some footsteps behind her and turned to see that the other vampire, Trevor, had joined them.

"Captivity's made her pushy, eh?" Trevor chuckles as he held up a painting, "What do you wanna know, doppelicious?" Sorelle tilt her head to the side, letting out a quiet chuckle at the nickname. She has to admit, that's a pretty good one.

Elena turned around and gave him a frown, "Who are you running from?"

"Elijah, the Originals." Sorelle groans giving a look to her friend, "Keep up Elena. Why else would they want to use you to negotiate for their freedom?"

"The werewolf is correct." Trevor pointed a finger at Sorelle. Elena rolls her eyes letting out a small huff.

"Yes, I know that. But what does that mean?"

Trevor sighs, "The first family." He kicked a book past the doppelgänger who flinches at the sudden movement, "The old world. Rose and I pissed them off."

Rose cleared her throat loudly and gave a sharp look to the male, "Correction, I pissed them off. Rose had my back and for over half a millennium, they wanted us dead." He said finishing up his explanation. He threw a book that he had picked up towards Elena's feet which made Sorelle stand up from the couch and over to the doppelgänger.

"What did you do to piss them off so badly?" Sorelle quirks an eyebrow, crossing her arms over her chest. Elena was relieved that the werewolf was now by her side, she felt a bit more safe being near her.

"He made the same mistake countless others did." Rose answered for him, "He trusted Katerina Petrova." Sorelle chuckled in amusement, shaking her head as she glanced down at her feet before looking back up at the two vampires.

"Ah, gotta love Kitty Kat."

"The one and only," Rose mutters as she looked away, "The first Petrova doppelgänger."

"I helped her escape her fate and, now, I've—sorry, we've been marked ever since." Trevor added to his story which made Rose turn around and give him a pointed look.

"Which is why we're not gonna make the same mistake again." Trevor places down the book that was in his hand and gazed at Sorelle and Elena. Sorelle made a face and leaned back when she sees that he was walking towards her. He swiftly walked past them causing a sigh of relief to leave Elena's lips and Sorelle peers over at Elena who stared back at her with an anxious look on her face.

Well, they were slightly fucked. . . nah, not even slightly. They were completely and utterly fucked.

. . . . . . .

Sorelle had nothing better to do so she did the only thing she could think of—which was taking a nice and peaceful nap. Though, she was woken up by some movement on the couch, it felt as if someone had threw themselves down onto the furniture.

She peeked open an eye and groaned when she saw it was only Elena, "You woke me up."

"Sorry." Elena mumbles out before she let out a breathy laugh. Sorelle could hear relief in it which made her curious. She opened her eyes again to see Elena clutching tightly on a crumbled piece of paper. The doppelgänger beamed at her and flipped the paper around for her to read it.

Stefan and Damon are coming
for you guys.
B

Sorelle closes her eyes in relief and fell back down onto the couch, her palm slammed down on her chest, "Thank fucking god. Bless, Bon Bon." Elena let out a quiet giggle at the werewolf's sentence.

"Hide it. We can't let them know about this." Sorelle whispers to Elena who immediately crumbled up the paper and shoved it inside the pocket of her jeans.

"He'll be here soon." Rose announces as she walked inside the room. Sorelle quickly scooted over to Elena who had instantly grabbed onto her arm. Rose didn't question the sudden movement and just went to grab her bag that Sorelle was using as a pillow earlier for her nap.

"He's here." Trevor stammers, nervously walking down the stairs, "This was a mistake." Sorelle inhaled sharply and Elena had let out a small stuttering breath, her grip on Sorelle grew tighter.

"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." Rose assured calmly but Trevor was absolutely terrified.

"No!" He yelled, his fingers shaking terribly as he pointed at Rose, "He wants me dead, Rose."

"He wants her more." Rose snapped back but Trevor wasn't having any of it. Sorelle quietly motioned Elena to stand up which the brunette slowly nodded. The two vampires didn't notice as they were to busy with each other.

"You give her to him, he'll have mercy on you." Trevor sputters, "But I need to get out of here." Rose was quick to stop him by grabbing his hands with hers.

"Hey!" Rose raises her eyebrows at him, "What are we?" Trevor closes his eyes as he let out a sharp exhale.

"We're family." Trevor gulps, "Forever." Sorelle pursed her lips, this was getting real sad. She almost pitied him, almost. Rose gave him a soft reassuring smile and nodded and Trevor seemed to have calm down a bit, but he immediately tensed up at the sound of someone knocking on the door. Rose peered over at the direction where the door was before glancing back at Sorelle and Elena. Elena breathes out and furrowed her eyebrows together.

"You're scared." Sorelle gave the doppelgänger a small pinch causing a yelp to leave the brunette's lips.

"Elena, shut up, please." A quiet 'sorry' fell from her lips before she moved to interlock her fingers with the werewolf who squeezes her hand in reassurance.

"Stay here with them and don't make a sound." Sorelle hears Rose whispering to Trevor. The male nodded and wiped his hands on his pants nervously, looking after Rose who left to answer the door.

Five minutes or so later, Sorelle's ears perked up at the sudden sound of footsteps, each step was gradually getting louder. She grabbed Elena's arm which stopped her from pacing. The brunette stare at her with wide eyes and mouthed 'Is he coming' in which the werewolf nodded in response. The two snapped their heads over at the entrance when they felt someone enter. A man who was dressed in a really really sexy suit with perfectly styled hair was staring at them in disbelief.

This must be Elijah, Sorelle mentally cursed, why are all the villains so fucking hot? It doesn't make any sense to her.

Elijah slowly leaned against the railing before he used his vampire speed to get to them. Sorelle sensed that he was gonna do that so she had quickly wedged herself between Elena and him. The Original blinked in surprise, quite impressed with how fast Sorelle's reflexes were.

As Elijah stare down at Sorelle, a smile of amusement slowly grew on his face, "You must be incredibly stupid or incredibly brave."

Sorelle held eye contact as her lips twitches into a small smirk, "In my opinion, I think the latter makes more sense, don't you agree?" Elijah's smile only widen in response, his eyes shining in humor.

"I can't compel you considering you're a werewolf." Elijah whispers, his lips still curled in a grin. Sorelle slightly falters as she didn't expect him to pick up the fact that she was a werewolf so quickly, "And I don't want to hurt you, so if you would be a dear, please step aside for me." Sorelle squinted her eyes at him. She was about to open her mouth to say something when Elena grabbed her arm causing her to look back. Elena swallows nervously and gave her a reassuring look, silently telling her that it was okay for her to step aside.

Sorelle frowns, hesitating for a bit. She licked her lips and glances back at Elijah who was still staring at her. She took slow steps towards him and leaned up to whisper in his ear, "I don't give two shits about you being an Original. If you hurt her, I'll kill you." Elijah's eyebrows shot up in surprise—with each minute that passes, Sorelle just keeps on impressing him more and more.

"You have my word," Elijah whispers back, his eyes trailed over to the doppelgänger who stared at him in fear, "I won't hurt her." Sorelle was satisfied with his answer and slowly stepped aside—Elijah was now standing in front of Elena.

The brunette started to let out heavy breaths when she noticed that Elijah was slowly getting closer to her. The Original leaned down to Elena's neck and took a quick inhale. Sorelle made a face, gross.

"Human, it's impossible." Elijah stated softly before glancing down at the doppelgänger, a small smirk plastered on his face, "Hello, there." Elena gulps, teary eyed as she stayed silent whilst maintaining eye contact with the Original. Sorelle swiftly moved over to her, grasping Elena's hands into hers which made the doppelgänger to let out a quick breath of relief. Elijah glances down at their interlocked hands for a moment with a small grin before looking back up at Elena.

"We have a long journey ahead of us. We should be going." Elijah mused but the doppelgänger ignored him and glanced over at Rose.

"Please don't let him take me." Rose simply looked away, not answering the girl.

Elijah spared a glance at Sorelle, his lips pulled into a small smirk for a moment before it quickly disappeared, "One last piece of business." His gaze fell back onto Elena, "Then we're done." He turned around and started walking towards Rose and Trevor.

"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah." Trevor discloses, his voice was slightly trembling, "Truly very sorry." Sorelle winced, poor dude looked like he was about to piss himself.

"Well, no, your apology is not necessary." Elijah hums, his hands behind his back as he walks around Trevor.

Trevor shook his head, avoiding eye contact with the Original, "Yes. Yes, it is." He inhaled sharply, "You trusted me with Katerina. And I failed you."

Elijah tilted his head in agreement, his walk were slow and taunting as if he wanted Trevor to be on edge. Sorelle had to admit, it was kinda. . . hot.

"Well, yes, you are the guilty one." Elijah turns to face Rose, "And Rose aided you because she was loyal to you—that I honor." He then turned to face Trevor who looked up at him, his lips twitched. "Where was your loyalty?" Sorelle narrows her eyes at him, something was definitely going to happen. She silently pulled Elena behind her and the doppelgänger simply just followed her lead, completely trusting the werewolf.

"I beg your forgiveness."

Elijah's lips tugged into a grin, his voice dropped to a whisper , "So granted." The smile on the Original's face fell and with one swift smack, Elijah had perfectly beheaded Trevor. A scream left Rose's lips when the male's body dropped to the floor, blood instantly beginning to pool around him. Elena smacked her hand over her mouth completely stunned by Elijah's action. While Sorelle, on the other hand, she was slightly impressed with the Original. . . okay, maybe more than slightly.

"You. . ." Rose spat out angrily, tears welled up in her eyes. Elijah was quick to shake his head, warning her to not come near him.

"Don't, Rose." A shuddering cry leaves the woman's lips as she stare at Trevor's body, "Now that you're free." Elijah glances over to Sorelle who was standing protectively in front of Elena.

He held his hand out, "Come."

"No! What about the moonstone?" Elena blurts out, stuttering a bit at the start. Sorelle closes her eyes and gritted her teeth.

"Elena. Shut up." Elijah squint his eyes at the doppelgänger before his gaze fell down to the werewolf.

"Step aside."

Sorelle glared at him, "No." A flicker of amusement appeared in his eyes but it was gone in a flash.

"I won't ask again." Sorelle didn't move a muscle so Elena took matters into her own hands and swiftly moved around the werewolf which meant that Sorelle was now behind her. The werewolf's eyes went wide and she went to move back but Elena gripped onto her arm tightly stopping her from going anywhere.

"Elle." A whisper of her name left Elena's voice desperately. "It's okay."

Elijah tilt his head to the side as he held eye contact with the doppelgänger now, his jaw clenching in annoyance. "What do you know about the moonstone?"

"I know that you need it." Elena stammers, "A-And I know where it is."

"Yes?"

"I can help you get it."

"Tell me where it is."

Elena shook her head and gulps, "It doesn't work that way."

"Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah chuckles in amusement, he glances back at Rose to try and get an answer to his question.

"It's the first I've heard of it." Rose responded coldly, her voice wavering a bit.

Elijah turned back to face Elena, furrowing his eyebrows together. He then squint his eyes as if he was trying to compel her but Elena didn't seem to be compelled as her eyes were unfocused and glancing around nervously. Elijah's eyes trailed down to her neck realizing that the necklace she had on was full of vervain.

"What is this vervain doing around your neck?" Elijah growls, snatching the necklace from Elena's neck and harshly threw it behind him. Sorelle's eyes went wide and she went to move forward but Elijah gave her a sharp glare.

"Don't. I don't want to hurt you." The werewolf scowled in response but she listened. The Original proceeded to grip onto the back of Elena's head tightly, forcing her to look at him in the eyes. The grunt of refusal leaves the doppelgänger's lips as she tried to wiggle out of his grip but Elijah was stronger and easily overpowered her.

"Tell me where the moonstone is." Elijah demanded. Elena's body went still as she answered him in a robotic voice.

"It's in the tomb underneath the church ruins."

"What is it doing there?"

"It's with Katherine."

A hum leaves Elijah's lips, "Interesting." A loud noise of glass smashing made the Original snap his head over to where he had heard it. Elena blinked rapidly as she was released from the compulsion. Sorelle pulls the brunette behind her and made sure that Elena wouldn't be able to move in front of her again.

"What is that?" Elijah questioned sharply as he looked around. Rose swallowed harshly and shook her head.

"I don't know."

Elijah didn't seem satisfied with the answer, "Who else is in this house?"

"I don't know." Rose snapped, emphasizing each word. Elijah let out an annoyed sigh and glances back at Sorelle and Elena for a moment before he tugged onto both of their arms harshly and dragged them with him.

"Fucking hell." Sorelle gritted as she tried to wriggle out of his grip but to no avail. A shriek left Elena's lips as the Original dragged them carelessly up the stairs. The four of them were now standing in front of the entrance. A sound of a whoosh was heard and Sorelle immediately knew who it was and let out a breath of relief. Took them fucking long enough.

Elijah glances around, pushing the two girls towards Rose who was quick to catch them. Another whoosh was heard and the four of them simultaneously turned in the same direction.

"Rose?" Elijah questioned slowly, the short-haired vampire was quick to look back and stare at him with wide eyes.

"I don't know who it is." Another whoosh came after that and Sorelle rolled her eyes, Stefan and Damon were sure taking their sweet time.

"Up here." The familiar voice of Stefan spoke which made everyone look towards the top of the stairs. Elijah vamp-speed up to the top and stopped before he began to glance around again.

"Down here." Sorelle never thought she would be so relieved to hear Damon's cocky voice, the werewolf almost wanted to cry in happiness. Elijah swiftly turned around at the sound of Damon's voice and a grunt leaves his lips as a small wooden stake suddenly impale the palm of his hand—another whoosh sound was heard again.

Sorelle felt someone grab her and was about to let out a startled gasp when a hand quickly covered her mouth causing her to look up at the person with wide eyes. The werewolf was quick to relax against the wall when she realized it was Damon. The raven-haired vampire gave her a small wink before placing his finger on his lips, wordlessly telling her to stay quiet. Sorelle lightly slapped Damon's hand that was on her mouth still which the vampire had quickly took off, mouthing an 'oops' to the girl. She turned to see that he has grabbed Rose too, the poor girl was still slightly shaking—tear streaks quite visible on her cheeks.

Sorelle heard a sound of something dropping on the floor before Elijah's voice filled the empty house, "Excuse me!"

"To whom it may concern." Elijah shouted, "You're making a grave mistake if you think you can beat me." There was a pause before Sorelle heard the Original's voice again, "You can't. You hear that?" God, he is so fucking hot. The werewolf looked over at Damon who stared at her in disbelief which she returned with a confused frown before her lips dropped in an 'O' in realization.

Oops, she had said that out loud under her breath.

"I repeat." The sound of wood breaking made Sorelle furrow her eyebrows together. "You cannot beat me."

"So, I want the girls." Girls? Plural? Pardon? "On the count of three." Another sound of wood breaking was heard, "Or heads will roll."

Elijah licked his lips, "Do we understand each other?"

"I'll come with you." Elena stammers out, "Just please don't hurt my friends. They just wanted to help me out." Elijah's lips twitched before he turned around to face the doppelgänger, narrowing his eyes when he doesn't see Sorelle standing next to her.

"Where is your friend?" Elena furrows her eyebrows together before shaking her head softly. Sorelle made a face, the fuck did he want with her?

"Leave her alone, she has nothing to do with this." Elijah sped up in front of her, drawing a startled gasp from the doppelgänger.

"What game are you playing with me?" Elena didn't say anything, she gritted her teeth together and pulled the pin on the vervain grenade that she was hiding and threw it at Elijah who let out a pained scream as his skin started to burn. Sorelle slightly jumped and let out a small 'oof' when Damon began to drag her with him.

The sound of somebody rolling down the stairs was heard and when Sorelle came back to the entrance, her eyes went wide at the sight of Elijah and Stefan on the floor.

"Stay here." Damon whispers before he grabbed the large stake that was on the floor. She sees the Original sauntering towards Stefan, ready to attack him only to let out a gasp of surprise when Damon impales him with the stake.

Damon scowls and pushes Elijah towards the door and he started to desiccate, completely pinned against the door. Rose walked out of the place she was hiding and gaped at Elijah's dead body in shock. Damon let go of the stake and turned to face Rose who stared at him for a moment before she sped away. The raven-haired vampire was about to go after her only to stop when Elena called out to him.

"Just let her go." The two shared a small smile and Elena let out a sharp breath of relief before she started jogging downstairs. Damon's eyes lit up for a moment only for his heart to drop when he realized she was running towards his younger brother.

"Hey, come here. You hurt? You okay?" Stefan blurts out worriedly. Elena threw herself in his arms and Sorelle winces, walking up to the raven-haired vampire causing him to look over at her.

"It's okay, Damon." Sorelle whispers giving him a grin, "You have me." Damon's lips twitched before he turned to examine her, cupping her face with his hands.

"You okay? Nothing broken, right?" Sorelle couldn't get out any words since her face was squished. She gave the vampire a playful glare, slapping his hand away which elicited a choked laugh from him.

"I'm fine grandpa." The werewolf receives a scowl from Damon at her answer which only made her laugh in response.

"You okay, Elle?" Sorelle turns to see Stefan walking towards her, his eyes trailing around her body to check for any injuries. Sorelle gave him a thumbs up along with a smirk.

"Absolutely fine, Stef. Don't worry." Stefan nodded in relief before he turns to look at Elena who let out a sigh, lips pulled into a straight line.

"We should get going." The four made a noise in agreement and Stefan and Elena started their way out first. Damon was about to follow behind them when he stopped, noticing that Sorelle wasn't following and was just standing there, staring at Elijah's body.

"What are you standing there for?" Damon asks, furrrowing his eyebrows together in confusion. Sorelle let out a heavy sigh and frowned, glancing over at Damon as she walked up to him.

"Nothing." She peeked at the Original again, "To be honest with you, he was too sexy to die." A shriek leaves Sorelle's lips when Damon pinched her side.

. . . . . . .

"Home sweet home." Damon sang, smirking at Sorelle who was in the passenger seat, "Dream of me tonight, Ellie."

"Oh, shut up." Sorelle roll her eyes with a scoff before she slowly started to frown, her eyes trailing over at the Forbes house which has been her home for the past two years. "Do you think I can stay with you tonight? I kind of don't want to face Caroline and Liz right now."

A look of concern appeared on Damon's face, "Yeah, yeah. Of course." Sorelle turn and gave the vampire a small grateful smile.

"Thanks."

"Why though, may I ask?" Damon asks, steering the car out onto the road. Sorelle leans back against the headrest and let out a quiet sigh.

"I just don't want to." A hum leaves Damon's lips at her answer, "We didn't fight or anything, I'm pretty sure Liz think I went to Elena's or Bonnie's after school, even though I didn't go to school because I was freaking kidnapped." Damon let out a small chortle before letting out a loud 'Ah'.

"By the way," Damon started, pursing his lips into a straight line, "Katherine compelled Matt and some girl named Sarah to kill Tyler at the ball last night."

"What?!" Sorelle yelled with wide eyes, "Why the hell would she do that?"

"Because she wanted Tyler to trigger his curse." Sorelle's face fell, her heart dropped to her stomach.

"He triggered it, didn't he?" Damon hesitated before he slowly nodded with a grimace. Sorelle cursed under her breath, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"That's just fucking great."

"Look at the bright side!" Damon shouts smirking at the girl, "At least you're not a lone wolf anymore." Sorelle gave him a deadpanned look which made the vampire pout.

"What? You didn't like my joke?" She squinted her eyes at him and gave him a scowl.

"I'm gonna kill you."

"I love you too, Ellie." The car abruptly made a stop causing Sorelle to look out the window and she sees that they finally made it to the Salvatore Boarding house.

"Alright, let's go." Damon patted her arm and the two got out and began their way towards the entrance. The two went inside and Sorelle did a little stretch, a small groan of satisfaction leaves her lips when she felt her back get less tense.

"You want a drink?" The raven-haired vampire asks as they made their way into the library.

"After the day I had?" Sorelle scoffs before nodding, "Please." Damon let out a snort before pouring him and Sorelle some scotch. The werewolf took the glass that Damon had handed to her and downed the liquid immediately.

"Where's Elena?" Damon suddenly asks, drawing a confused look to appear on Sorelle's face. She then heard footsteps and sees that Stefan was walking towards them. Sorelle shook her head, pouring herself another glass before grabbing the whole bottle of scotch. She was not going to stay for whatever they were about to talk about.

"You two have fun. I'm going to drink in the living room."

. . . . . . .

Sorelle was laying on the couch whilst scrolling through her phone when she suddenly heard a loud whoosh. She froze and shot up from the couch, throwing her phone beside her.

"Stefan? Damon?" She called out and almost immediately Stefan answered her back.

"In the library!" Sorelle quickly got up and sprinted into the library. She saw that Stefan was holding a stake in his hand with a worried look plastered on his face and she knew instantly that he had heard the whoosh sound too.

"Get behind me." Stefan didn't need to tell her twice. She ran behind him and grabbed the extra stake that Stefan had in his hands and her eyes flickered around trying to figure out who was in the house.

"Who's there?" Stefan yelled out, his grip on the stake got tighter. The two then heard footsteps which made Stefan move closer to Sorelle. The werewolf's grip loosened a bit when she recognized the stranger.

"Vampy! You scared me!" Rose gave the werewolf a small apologetic look before her gaze trailed over to Stefan.

"I'm not here to hurt you."

Stefan narrows his eyes at her, "Why are you here?"

"Lexi once told me that you're one of the good ones." Sorelle's eyes slowly went wide in realization—so the friend was Lexi. Holy shit.

"You knew Lexi." Stefan breathes out in shock. Rose began to walk towards them slowly. Sorelle tighten her grip on the stake again, ready to pounce in case the vampire was going to try something.

"Trevor was my best friend. For five hundred years, I have lived with one person." Rose pauses, swallowing harshly, "And he's gone."

"And I don't wanna run anymore because I don't have anywhere else to run to."

Stefan sighs and raises his eyebrows, "Well, I'm sorry, but I can't help you."

"I don't need your help." Rose snapped before she let out a sharp exhale, "But I think you need mine." Sorelle knitted her eyebrows in confusion.

"What do you mean by that?" The werewolf asks slowly.

Rose glances over at her, "Elijah may be dead, but this isn't over."

Stefan tilt his head before shaking his head in confusion, eyebrows furrowed together, "What do you mean it's not over?"

"It isn't over." Rose repeats causing Sorelle to let out a frustrated sigh, "The Originals, they'll come for her."

"They have to." Stefan and Sorelle shared a look before their gaze fell back on Rose, "They're doing it for him."

"For who?" Sorelle questions, a speck of fear flickered in Rose's eyes.

"Klaus."
