IV

"She should have known that villains often come with pretty faces"
Anna Godbersen

Distant whispers and a hissing fire were what first began to coax Brooklyn from her slumber. The sounds around her sunk deep into her mind, enticing her to open her eyes despite how heavy they felt. Poppy dust was notorious for its ability to make its way into the body and turn off the mind in seconds, sending the victim into a deep and instantaneous sleep. Pan had seen to it that Brooklyn had been given a large dose, so that he may bring her to Neverland without any trouble. And now he watched curiously as the fog in her mind began to clear. Her eyes moved beneath her eyelids, and soon they flickered open. Her eyes met with his, and she was once again caught in their enchanting spell.

"Hello love." Pan's voice was intoxicating, it swirled around her like honey.

"W-where am I? What did you do?!" Reality hit her like a ton of bricks. The curtain in her mind opened and revealed the events that she last remembered.

"Calm down love. Your safe." Pan keeled down beside the girl, gently placing his hand on her shaking arm and within seconds she felt it. She didn't know what it was, but a wave of calm washed over her. It crawled up her wrists and down her back until it reached the ends of her toes. It was sweet and warm, and it placed a damper on her fears.

"What happened?" She mumbled gently as Pan's magic clouded her mind.

"I brought you to Neverland. I must apologise about how I had to get you here, but you would have never come with me otherwise." Pan sat cross legged beside her, he knew using the poppy dust would make her skeptical of him, so he had to convince her otherwise. "Your special Brooklyn.."

"Who are you? How do you know my name?" Her voice cracked and fear began to grow in the pit of her stomach.

Pan smiled at her. "Did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Peter. Peter Pan." His smile grew as he felt the fear in her stomach settle ever so slightly. "Your special Brooklyn. I've always known who you are, I've watched over you since you were only a babe. Consider me your....guardian angel." He chuckled lightly at the thought. He had been watching her, for quite some time, but he was most certainly not her guardian angel.

"What? Why? I don't understand." She spoke frantically as she stood, taking a small step away from the boy.

"Because you are special. You've always felt different from the other kids. Why? Because you arent like them. Your friends never really understood you did they? No. No one ever has. Because you are different, and you know it." He flashed her a smile and closed the gap between them. "And here in Neverland, we embrace special people." The warmth blossomed in her wrist, pulling her deeper under his spell. His magic wrapped itself around her body, edging closer and closer to her heart. But suddenly, Pan hit a wall. A giant ton of bricks that blocked his magic from embedding itself into her heart.

"You know nothing of me." And just like that, Pan's magic was forced out of her body by the invisible force inside her. "Now take me home." Brooklyn said simply. She felt herself again as the fog cleared from her mind and the magic left her body.

"No can do love." Pan stood, his hand resting gently against the dagger concealed under his cloak. "I wasn't lying when I said you were special." He began to pace around her in circles, and with each step he took the fear in her stomach rose. "You have something I need." He paused in front of her.

"And what might that be?"

A smirk crept across his face. "A heart." He watched as her brows furrowed together in confusion, and a chuckled escaped his lips. "A very special heart love. Your heart is filled with hope and belief and purity. Never once have you committed an act that caused your heart to darken, and that my dear, is a powerful thing."

"And you think I'm just going to give you my heart? Are you crazy?!" Brooklyns fear began to consume her, this boy was obviously dangerous. "Of course you will, eventually." Pan smirked mischievously. Before Brooklyn could respond Pan placed two fingers in his mouth and whistled into the forest. "But for now, its time for you to meet the lost ones." He smirked as a blonde haired boy approched them.

"Yes Pan?" The boy asked obidiently.

"Take our guest back to camp and introduce her to the lost and show her around her new home."

The boy nodded at his leader. "As you wish." He said scowling, trust Pan to assign him as her babysitter. The boy grabbed her arm violently. "Come on." He mumbled as he began pulling her along.

"No wait I-" Brooklyn was cut short when she saw that Pan was no longer there. He had just vanished into thin air.

"Come along girl." The other boy snarled in annoyance. "I have a name" Brooklyn retorted as she followed along behind him.

"Does it look like I care?" The blonde boy snarled, his club swinging lightly as it rested on his shoulder.

Brooklyn rolled her eyes. "I'm Brooklyn, and you are....?"

"Felix." He replied sharply.

The rest of their journey was silent, save for the sound of the undergrowth crunching with every step they took. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they reached camp. Brooklyn looked around in surprise. She had expected shabby tents and messy boys. Instead she was met with 15 wooden huts, all lined up neatly beside one another to create a semi circle around a huge firepit that currently had a boar roasting away in it. She also noted that everything seemed fairly orderly, there wasn't bits and pieces of things laying around, everything seemed to have its place. As tbey made their way into the camp, she noticed that the hunt in the middle of all the others was the biggest. It stood twice as high as the others and seemed to be more like a house than a hut, she assmued that was Pan's.

"Is that a girl?!" She was suddenly broken from her train of thought when a voice spoke into the camp. Both herslef and Felix turned to see the voice had come from a boy. He looked to be about 16 and had bright red curly locks that sat around his shoulders. He held a dagger in his right hand and an apple in the other.

"What do you think?" Felix snarled in response. "Of course its a girl, here she's your problem now." Felix gave Brooklyn a slight shove in the boys direction. "What am i supposed to do with her?" The boy whined. "Show her around, and not get her killed. God knows Archer will want her dead as soon as he sees her and Pan will have your head if that happens. Just figure something out." Felix called over his shoulder as he disappeared into his hut.

Brooklyn looked at the boy shyly. His red hair bounced when he moved, and his face was covered in freckles. He smiled gently at her, sensing her discomfort. "Just ignore Felix, he's an ass." The boy said with a laugh. He placed his dagger in it's sheath before holding out his hand. "I'm Miles." His smile was welcoming. Brooklyn took his hand and shook it.

"Brooklyn." She said with a small smile.

"Welcome to Neverland Brooklyn, a place where imagination runs wild." He moved closer to her, bending down to her ear. "But be careful, nothing is ever as it seems." He whispered.

"Now." He pulled away, as if he had said nothing. "Let's give you a tour of camp before the others return, Felix was right, they won't be happy about having a girl here." He spoke as he began walking further into the camp. He turned back to look at the girl, who hadn't moved. "Coming?" He asked and she quickly followed along behind him, unaware of the danger that would await her in the next few months. Peter Pan had a plan. An evil one at that. And this was only the beginning.

So guess who updated again?! Me! Yay lol i hope someone is actually reading this. I'm actually really happy with how this chapter turned out and that we got to meet a lost boy. So what do you guys think? I want to hear your thoughts and ideas about where you think this might all go. Or what I can do to try and make it better.
