lift your wings and show them how much hell an angel can cause

AFTER BILL CAME to get Sookie and Victoria out of the basement, the younger girl sat in the back of Sookie's car, not saying a word. She was just trying to process everything.

The three of them sat in silence. Even though Bill saved them, it didn't mean Sookie and Tori forgave him for what he did.

Sookie looked back at her cousin. "Tori... you still aren't trying to see the good in him, are you?"

Victoria looked out the window, a lone tear falling from her eye, and she bit her lip. "I have to... I have to hear his side of the story." She ignored both Sookie and Bill as they began to tell her that Eric wasn't a good man. "The look in his eyes when he placed that collar around my neck... I know that look anywhere. It was apologetic and it was painful. He didn't want to do what he was doing. Maybe someone is forcing him, maybe..." She shook her head and wiped away another tear that had fallen. "I don't know, but I will find out. I need to hear it from him. And him only."

Suddenly, the car came to a screeching halt, and flung forwards before falling back down on it's four tires. They all screamed and looked forward to see Eric standing beside a man. The man was the one from the werewolf bar; Russell Edgington.

"Fuck," Tori whispered to herself, and she met Eric's gaze which was guarded. Something was up, and she was going to figure it out.

Sookie and Tori screamed again once the car was picked up in the air by Russell and turned around to face the way to Fangtasia. Tori briefly glanced at Eric out of the window before trying to control her erratic breathing. She still has a pretty big fear of cars, and every time she seems like she has a grip on the fear, something like this happens.

It was merely minutes before they arrived at Fangtasia where Russell dropped the car roughly to the ground. And he was smiling excitedly before his eyes landed on Tori's fearful gaze. His expression instantly turned sour, and he ripped the door off, and yanked her out by her arm harshly. She yelled out in pain, but stopped breathing when she was face to face with Russell who looked ready to rip her apart.

"Let her go!" Sookie shouted, but was stopped by Bill who grabbed her by her waist.

"Katherine!" Russell hissed out and roughly lifted her up off the ground by a hand on her neck. She started struggling, clawing at his hands, gasping for air desperately.

Eric began panicking when he saw the most precious thing he cares about begin to lose oxygen. "Hit me," he whispered at Bill who frowned before doing as told with a smirk on his features.

They began fighting, trying to get Russell's attention off of Tori, but that didn't seem to work. But, once Russell saw that Tori was, in fact, not Katherine, he threw her against the car which had her groaning and gasping in pain.

Sookie quickly ran over to her cousin, bringing her into her arms, tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Who are you?!" Russell shouted at the brunette who was shaking in fear. "You're not Katherine, so who are you?!"

"She's my cousin!" Sookie shouted when she realized that Tori couldn't talk because of the pressure that had recently been added on her neck.

"Her name!" He demanded loudly, looking ready to tear into her and drain every bit of her blood.

"Tori," she breathed out, her hands massaging her neck, trying to bring in as much oxygen as she could. But, it hurt to breath, let alone talk.

"Well, Tori," he began, spitting out her name in disgust. "Do you want to tell me why you look like the bitch named Katherine?!"

Tori backed up into the car, briefly glancing at Eric and Bill who were still waiting. "I — I'm her doppelgänger."

Russell narrowed his eyes before reaching forward, and pried Sookie off of her before pulling Tori by her hair, ignoring her screams in agony.

"Let her go, asshole!" Sookie shouted loudly, running into Fantasia after Russell who was dragging her cousin by her long hair. "Hey!"

Tori yelled out curses when she was slammed down in the chair. "I hate her as much as you do, probably more!" She shouted, her voice rasping. "She is the reason why my life is messed up!"

Russell looked at her before laughing loudly. "I do not care if you hate her or not. You look like her, and that means you deserve punishment!" He whooshed forward, biting into her neck, ignoring her screams.

IT WAS MERELY and hour later; Sookie had explained what she was to Russell who demanded it, while holding Tori up who had lost a lot of blood, a napkin pressed to her neck to stop the bleeding. Eric stood to the side, his jaw clenched, and his eyes guarded. Bill was tied to a post, watching in fear as Sookie and Tori day right across from the psychopath.

"Fairies?" Russell asked incredulously through loud chuckles. "You seriously expect me to believe she's fairy? A species extinct for millennia?" He rolled his eyes and added, "If they ever existed at all. Do you think I wouldn't notice if there were fairies bouncing around in the world?" He glanced to Eric who was trying so hard to not be worried about Tori, and he hoped it wasn't obvious.

Eric shrugged. "I didn't say she was full fairy. She's a human-fairy hybrid, which helps save her from detection. She may well be the last of her kind, your only chance to walk in the sun."

Russell looked skeptical, nodding, "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Eric swallowed and gestured to her, "Drink her blood. You'll see."

Tori turned to glare at Eric, but winced and groaned in pain, pressing the napkin more onto her neck that only made Russell laugh.

Sookie exclaimed, "Now, that's just nuts. Nothing in my blood is a supernatural sunscreen for y'all. Why would you even think that?"

Bill sighed and turned to the blonde. "Sookie, you're wrong. What Eric says is true."

Tears strung in her eyes as she shouted, "No!" She couldn't believe that she was lied to by him even more than she already was.

Bill frowned at her reaction. "I never told you."

Eric looked over at Bill with a smirk. "Bill's experienced it for himself.

Russell rolled his eyes. "Oh, well, that's reassuring. A testimonial from the mendacious Mr. Compton."

Tori smirked at that. Nobody in the building seemed to trust Bill, which was a sign to them all that he is a two-faced, backstabbing asshole.

Bill looked to Russell, keeping eye contact. "I can't force you to believe it. You'll have to see for yourself."

Sookie swallowed thickly as she looked over at the man she once thought she loved. But, the fact that he didn't seem to sad that he hurt her in the worst way possible, helped her make her decision. Yes, she'll always have feelings for him. He was her first everything, and the feelings were real, on her part, anyway. But, she wasn't even in love with him, and the weight that was once on her shoulders, lifted.

Russell narrowed his eyes as he looked between ex-couple. "I'm intrigued.

Eric grinned. "Excellent."

Sookie snarled over at Bill and Eric, "I hate you!"

Russell chuckled at her reaction before saying, "On one condition."

Eric nodded. "Whatever you like."

The older man gestured to Sookie. "You go first."

Eric swallowed thickly, and nodded. "I'd love to."

THE SUN HAS no come up, and Russell was asking Sookie question after question, which was annoying both cousins to no end. At this point, Tori's neck has stopped bleeding, but now has dried blood smeared around it. She has to be careful to make sure she doesn't open the wound again.

"Do you have wings? Do you—?"

"Oh, my god," Tori groaned out which made the psychopath turn to her with a glare. "If she had any answers, she would tell you. But, she doesn't know much more than you do. Now, can you please shut the hell up?"

Russell stared at her blankly before laughing maniacally. "You are more alike to Katerina than you would like to admit."

Tori scowled at that. "She's a bitch by nature. I'm a bitch because I have lost a lot of blood, exhausted, hungry, and tired of hearing your voice."

Eric — upon seeing that Russell was about to snap — quickly walked over to them after talking to Pam. "Shall we?"

Russell grinned, keeping eye contact with Tori. "Do let's."

Bill spoke up from his place on the post. "One caveat, gentlemen. If you drain her completely, that's the last fairy blood you'll ever drink."

Eric nodded, sparing Tori a look, really praying that she knew the look meant he had a plan. "Good point!"

Russell nodded. "We are schooled. Onward to adventure!"

Eric turned to Sookie and gave her a look. He needed to know he had a plan up his sleeves, and that he won't do anything to intentionally hurt them.

Russell rolled his eyes as he saw Eric hesitate. "Oh, for God's sake!" He yanked her wrist towards him, and bit down harshly. Eric swallowed and went to her neck, drinking her blood, but trying to be as careful as he could. He didn't want Tori to hate him for hurting her cousin.

Sookie tried to hold it back, but Russell was drinking savagely from her wrist, so she let out a loud scream before passing out.

Russell grinned at that and pulled back before turning to Tori, and slamming her head against the table. "There. Now, we have to blood bags at our disposal."

Eric clenched his jaw, but once he listened to Tori's heartbeat, he calmed down with the noise. He nodded before walking outside into the light. He blocked his blue eyes, blinded momentarily before he lowered his hands, and looked down, stunned by the fact he wasn't burning up.

Bill looked at Sookie and Tori with wide eyes. "Unchain me. I have to feed Sookie!"

Russell and Pam didn't pay attention to him as they watched how Eric didn't blow up. "It's fairies. Fucking fairies. Who knew?"

Eric motioned for them to come outside as small wisps of smoke came from his skin. "Don't let them see," he murmured to himself. "And let her stay safe. Please."

Bill started to struggle. "Let me go!"

Russell glanced to Pam with excitement in his eyes and voice. "My hands are shaking." He began laughing. "I feel like a little child. Thousands of years of night. You can't know." He began crying, blood seeping out from his eyes.

Pam turned to him. "What are you waiting for?"

Russell nodded and left the room, which made Bill shout out, "I have to feed Sookie. She needs my blood now! Pam, let me go!"

On the tv, it was shown Eric burning and him handcuffing Russell to him. They both fell to the ground, burning.

Pam let Bill go and he quickly whooshed over to Sookie, feeding her his blood. Once she came to, he whispered, "Sookie."

"You betrayed her again," Tori groaned as she woke up, rubbing her forehead, trying to get rid of the headache that came on full blast. "You're a fucking bastard." Bill went to open his mouth, but she sat up fully, asking the first question that came to mind. "Where's Eric?"

Pam was crying as she said, "Outside, burning."

Tori stood up quickly, but had to grab onto the table to steady herself as she almost fell over. "What?!"

Bill didn't care as he informed them, "He bound himself by silver to the king. Was the only way to kill him."

Sookie pushed Bill away from her. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She had saw the look in Eric's eyes before he drank from her. She also realized that he was as gentle as he could be drinking from her. She closed her eyes as she recalled him whispering to her in her ear; keep her safe. "Why would you let him do that?"

Tori was already running out of the door, grabbing an ax on her way out, and made her way to Eric, her heart pounding harshly. "Eric, this is just stupid!"

Eric hissed and groaned in pain, but tried to look strong in front of his girl. "Go away. I deserve this. I hurt you too much."

Tear's filled Tori's eyes and she shook her head. "No!" She shouted, her voice cracking. "I won't let you do this. I saved Godric, and I'll save you." She flung the ax down, cutting the cuffs, and she grabbed grabbed his arms, and began pulling him towards Fangtasia, ignoring Russell's shouts after her.

After she got him into Fangtasia, and away from the sun, Pam hurried up and helped her out Eric on a table.

The vampire looked over at Tori in thanks, but didn't dare say the words out loud. "He needs blood. Human blood. He's too weak to drop fang."

Tori pursed her lips and looked around before she saw a glass bottle. She quickly slammed it on the side of a table, glass breaking off everywhere. She grabbed a piece, ignored Sookie's protests, and slit her wrist.

"Drink from me, Eric," she murmured as she placed her wrist over his mouth, and ran her free hand through his blonde hair. She hissed as she felt him eagerly drink from her, but she didn't say anything else. "You're an idiot, Eric Northman, and once we're clear, I'm going to scream at you for days."

His blue eyes stared up at her and she kept eye contact. She already knew, deep down, she has forgiven him for everything he did. But, she still was going to demand answers, and hopefully get this damn weight off her shoulders.

IT WAS MERELY a few minutes after Tori fed Eric all the blood she could without growing faint, and she stayed beside him, running a hand through his hair.

He smiled up at her, his blue eyes more light than before. "I'm sorry for everything I put you through."

She sighed and looked away from him, and when she went to open her mouth, the door to Fangtasia was bursted open, and Russell was flung into the middle of the room, making a loud thud.

"Fuck!" He shouted as everyone got up quickly, looking from him to the door with confusion and caution.

"What is—" Tori stooped herself when she saw Caroline walking into the room, a scowl on her face. "Care?" She asked in shock before a person zoomed into the room, lofting Russell into the air by his throat. "Godric?!" She exclaimed in even more shock.

Godric glanced over at Tori and his childe before putting all his attention in Russell. "You have been goin against those I care for, for a very long time now, Edgington. And now, I hear that you are feeding werewolves your blood, making my childe do your bidding, and by doing that, you have been hurting a dear friend of mine." He hissed loudly and before anyone knew it, Godric's hand was in Russell's chest, pulling out his heart, while the other hand snapped his neck. And with that's Russell's body exploded, flying blood everywhere.

Everyone stood in surprise at what had just happened before Godric walked over to his childe. "I know what you did to Talbot. I figured that you would try something stupid to get back at Russell, but nothing like this." He sighed and glanced at Tori who had a bandaged wrapped around her wrist, a dried blood around her neck. "I hope your revenge didn't cost you the greatest thing that has happened to you in centuries."

Victoria glanced up at Eric with vulnerable eyes before swallowing thickly. "We'll talk later, but you need sleep. Meet me in my room tonight?"

Eric slowly nodded and glanced at his maker before walking away, his shoulders slumped.

Tori then smiled over at Caroline before running towards her best friend, pulling her into a hug. "I can't believe be that you are here!"

Caroline smiled at her, dimples showing. "My best friend was in danger and her boyfriend was being an idiot. What else was I suppose to do?"

Godric came up to Tori, and laid a hand on her shoulder. "I apologize for whatever my childe has put you through, but I can guarantee that he has a really good explanation for it."

Tori nodded and smiled up at her friend. "I missed you so much. I would hug you, but you're covered in blood."

Godric smiled at her. "I shall take a quick shower before going off to bed, as well." He then looked to Caroline with a soft look in his eye's before. "I'll see you later, älskling." And with that, he was off.

Tori slowly turned to the blonde and smirked. "So?"

Caroline grinned and burst into giggles. "We aren't anything official, but we have a bond that's unlike anything I have ever experienced."

Tori squealed and then glanced to Sookie who was walking over to them. "This is my cousin, Sookie. I don't think you two have met yet."

Caroline smiled and brought the girl into a hug. "I appreciate you keeping my crazy best friend happy and as safe as you can, you know, with the circumstances."

Sookie nodded and gripped Tori's hand. "I think now that Russell is out of the way, everything will be alright."

Tori rubbed at her eyes tiredly and felt herself sway slightly. "I think I need a nap or something."

Caroline frowned and sat the girl down before biting into her wrist, and giving the brunette her blood even though she protested. "Drink up. And I won't hear a no." She smiled as the doppelgänger drank from her, and got more color in her face. "That wasn't too bad, now was it?"

Tori scowled before laughing. "I missed you."

The blonde's eyes softened. "I missed you too. And I'm so sorry that I haven't been there much for you through everything."

Tori shook it off. "You're here now, and that's all that matters." She then frowned, tilting her head. "Where is Elena and the others?"

"They stayed behind because they had to clean up a mess... but, they'll be here soon. So, maybe we can all celebrate the take down of another psychopath."

Tori sighed at that, glancing to the door where she knew Eric was sleeping. "Before I even consider to celebrate, I need to have a very important conversation with someone that I care about."
