Castle of Conversations
The sprawling castle stood as a symbol of Auradon's hope and unity, but to Celia Facilier, it loomed over her like a gaudy reminder of everything unfamiliar. As the group approached Evie and Doug's glittering home, Celia lagged behind, trying to mask her discomfort with an air of indifference.
Once inside, they were greeted by Evie herself, dazzling in her signature blue and a kind smile. Doug followed, offering an awkward wave before disappearing into one of the castle's endless corridors. Celia's attention wavered as Evie enthusiastically showed off her latest designs.
Herkie, always impatient, crossed his arms. "Seriously? We're stopping for makeovers? We have bigger things to deal with."
Ignoring him, Evie ushered Celia into a chair as Dizzy joined them, her excitement lighting up the room. Dizzy held up an array of nail polish and grinned. "Trust me, you're going to love this! A little magic, a little style—it's just what you need to take your mind off everything."
Celia hesitated but eventually relented, holding out her hands. As Dizzy worked, she talked non-stop, trying to ease Celia's tension.
"You're overthinking all this, Celia. Whatever's got you worried, it's not as bad as you think. Red probably just wants a rematch after that sword fight in PE. No magic, just skills. She doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges."
Celia scoffed but didn't respond, focusing on the soft hum of Dizzy's magic as her nails transformed into an elegant display of deep blue and gold.
Just as Dizzy moved on to her hair, Melody wandered over, arms crossed, with an amused smirk. "Blue isn't really your color," she teased, flicking a strand of Celia's hair.
Celia shot her a glare, but before she could retort, Isabelle's quiet voice cut through the tension. "Attention seeker."
Melody's head snapped toward Isabelle. "What was that?" she challenged, her voice sharp.
"Nothing," Isabelle said dismissively, though her clenched fists betrayed her frustration.
Chloe stepped between them, her elegance and poise a stark contrast to the brewing conflict. "Not in Evie's castle," she said firmly, her icy tone silencing both girls. "Show some respect."
The tension simmered but didn't entirely dissipate as Celia watched the interaction. For the first time, she felt a twinge of camaraderie. Maybe this wasn't just a group of spoiled Auradon kids. Maybe, just maybe, they weren't so different from her after all.
As Dizzy added the finishing touches to her hair, Celia glanced at her reflection. For a moment, she didn't see the daughter of Dr. Facilier. She saw someone who could take on anything—even Auradon.
"Thanks," Celia mumbled to Dizzy, who beamed in response.
Evie returned to the room, clapping her hands. "Alright, everyone, let's get moving. We've got an adventure to finish!"
And just like that, they were off again, the castle fading behind them as the next chapter of their story awaited.
As the group left the grandeur of Evie and Doug's castle, the atmosphere softened. Celia walked beside Dizzy, her earlier unease melting away. The castle's glow faded into the distance, replaced by the crisp, moonlit air of Auradon's countryside.
"Do you remember when Auradon was put under that sleeping spell?" Dizzy asked, her voice light but tinged with nostalgia.
Celia glanced at her, a small smirk tugging at her lips. "Hard to forget. I literally snuck Into hades lair"
Dizzy nodded enthusiastically, her curls bouncing. "Yeah! I bet It was so fun. When It was all over and I tried waking you up, you gave a glare more scary than my stepmother"
Celia laughed despite herself. "Well, I wasn't exactly used to someone waking me up with glitter and a smile."
They both chuckled, the memory vivid now. It had been their first real meeting, a strange yet pivotal moment when the two girls from vastly different worlds began to understand one another.
"I was terrified back then," Dizzy admitted, her voice quieter now. "I didn't think I could do anything right. I was just the VK kid with scissors and glitter."
Celia shook her head. "You don't know how much that meant to me. That day I was just worried about you, Squeeky, and Squirmy. There was no loosing, That wasnt a choice"
Dizzy stopped walking, turning to face Celia fully. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around her in a warm, tight hug. For a moment, Celia stiffened, but then she relaxed, closing her eyes and letting the tension slip away.
"You're going to be fine, Celia," Dizzy said softly. "Red's not out to get you. I think she just respects you—and maybe wants you to respect her, too. She's got her way of showing it, but it's not as bad as you're making it in your head."
Celia pulled back, smiling faintly. "You're probably right. I've just been letting it spiral too much."
"Tha-" Ceila couldnt say thank you. Vk's never used manners especially her. Dizzy understood Manners seemed weird from Celia and got the gist of what she wanted to stay.
"That's what friends are for," Dizzy said, linking her arm through Celia's as they walked to catch up with the others.
Celia's mind quieted for the first time in days. Maybe, just maybe, Dizzy was right. Not every problem needed to feel like the end of the world. Sometimes, all it took was a little faith—and the right people by your side.
Dizzy stopped when Mal and Evie called her she waved off Celia with a smile. Vk's never smilled but Dizzy was a exception.
