This world takes place in an alternate reality of our own time and slightly in the future. But overall, this is a work of fiction. The names, characters and incidents portrayed in it are the work of my imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events or localities is entirely coincidental.

In addition to this, some things may not be accurately represented. I try to do all the research I can, but, unfortunately, some of my specific questions such as what exactly a virologist does and how a laboratory is run are probably less than accurate. I'm trying my best, but take some of the more technical information with a grain of salt.

The ONC at last! Gotta admit, I wasn't as inspired by the prompts this year, but a couple did catch my eye:

Years after the disease nearly destroyed the entire civilization, there's a cure, and you are a recovering zombie.

The future has become walled cities of survivors. What happens when someone shows up asking to set up a trading relationship?

These prompts gave me an excuse to finally write a zombie apocalypse story, so with a few twists and tweaks, I think I came up with something good!

But who knows, the only way to find out is to read on. 😉
