Don't you just hate when writers use italics in every single fucking sentence of their paragraph and it's like OKAY BITCH WE GET IT YOU'RE TRYING TO EMPHASISSIISSIIS

Storytime: One day in Year 9 I was in the finals of a spelling bee and I was definitely gonna win and then they asked me to spell the word emphasize and I fucking switched the S and the Z and I still haven't forgiven myself for that

I mean honestly it's very very powerful when done effectively and in rarity so that the ones that are actually italicized stand out more yet when it's done like every other second I just can't even

And now when you read a book you'll always think of this rant when you see italicized words.
