Labyrinth
Henry tried opening the basement but it was locked. Henry looked around the kitchen and tried looking for a key. As he was looking around there was a wine glass that was upside down. He saw the key. As he lifted the cup he grabbed the key. As walked back to the basement door and he took a deep breath. Something seemed off before he opened that door. Noah was quiet. Henry knew Noah for years and he's never been quick before unless something made him shut up. Henry looked up the stairs and shook his head as he turned back to the basement door. He put the key through the lock and opened it.
Henry walked down the stairs and saw a candle stick with a box of matches. Henry has a puzzling look as he picked up the candle stick and matches. He saw a table and set down the candle stick. He grabbed a match and scratch it on the box as the warm flame glowed. He lit the candle stick and blow out the match before dropping it on the ground. He put the matchbox in his pocket and held the candle stick in his left hand.
He saw an opening in front of him and two other openings on his left and his right. He was confused and his head started pounding with pain. He went through the opening in front of him and found himself in a maze. Everything was coming together for Henry. This wasn't a normal basement this was a labyrinth maze. They were built to keep bad people out because of a treasure or something very important. Everything was confusing and Henry and Noah were called to this house for a reason. A reason Henry had zero clue about.
"Lovely! This is a dimly lit maze. Alright time to be a kid again and find the end," Henry hissed.
Henry kept walking and hoping to find a clue or something saying he going the right way. That was the only thing Henry could expect at least. However, Henry felt like he was missing something. Something Important. Although what could it be? Henry didn't have time to think about anything other than trying to get to the end. As he turned and turned through the never-ending maze. Henry found banners and there were hooks everywhere in the maze.
"I can use the banners to mark where I've been," Henry exclaimed.
He set down the candle stick and hung a banner on the hook. A smile showed on his face and he grabbed the candle stick and felt continued walking. He kept walking and came to three different paths. He went right and hung a banner in case. The banners would drag to the ground while they were on Henry's shoulder. Henry had some hope at least before he kept getting lost. He ended up at every spot he had been before. Then a voice on a speaker spoke.
"Henry? Henry can you hear me!" The voice called out.
"Yes, I can hear you! Who are you?" Henry responded.
"It's Noah. I'm in the control room. I can see the maze and I can try to help you get out," Noah reassured Henry.
"Oh. That's great news! Cause I've been here for what felt like five hours!" Henry growled as he signed.
"It hasn't been five hours. More like two hours. Not the point. I'm going to get you out of here," Noah muttered.
Henry felt better about his problem and was happy Noah came to help him. He was very grateful for Noah, but wouldn't tell Noah that ever in his life. Noah did everything he could to help Henry to get to the end. Henry listened to Noah and made sure to hang a banner in case something happened. Henry started getting some hope about getting out of there alive. Noah took a deep breath and smiled that he was almost out of the maze.
"Alright Henry turn left and then another right," Noah mentioned as he looked at the monitor.
"Alright. How far am I from the end?" Henry asked calmly.
"You have three more turns and then you're there," Noah chuckled.
Henry smiled and continued walking then he took the final three turns before seeing the end. He was thrilled and dropped to the ground.
"We did it! Thank you, Noah," Henry cheered.
"Yes we did," Noah chuckled.
"There's a basket in the middle," Henry muttered.
"Grabbed the basket and the maze walls should sink. When that happens ran as fast as you can to the stairs. Before the wall come back up," Noah instructed Henry.
"Alright," Henry signed.
He set down the candle stick and grabbed the basket. As he grabbed the basket the maze walls start sinking. As they hit the ground, Henry ran as fast as he could. While running he could hear the walls starting to come back up again. The movement of the walls made Henry's heart race faster than it has before in his life. Once Henry got to the stairs he sat on the stairs and started breathing very hard. Henry started coughing and trying to calm down his heart rate. Everything was going so fast and once those walls started up again Henry thought it was the end of him.
Noah came and hugged Henry then they quickly got out of the basement. As they do Noah explains everything to Henry about what he found in the attic. Henry started understanding what was going on and they ran back to their hometown. They went to the cops and turned in everything they found. Once they did the cops were in shock and thanked them for turning everything they found in that house. As they did they both became known worldwide for revealing the truth behind everything. After all, it was all they could do. They did it without knowing what was going on in the Lab they heard about. That day was something they weren't going to forget. That was the end of the mystery.
Then there was a News report about a young girl dead by a house in the woods.
~News Report~
"A young girl was found dead in the woods by a rebuilt home. The girl looked like she got stabbed. There was a man found dead near her body claiming she was defending herself before she died. DNA shows that the young girl's name was Venice and she was kidnapped from her family. She was 10 years old when she disappeared and she seems to have been experimented on. The man found dead near her was a doctor in the Lab that burned to the ground. His name was Doctor Smith."
"Boys Noah and Henry gave police clues and files about other kids that were kidnapped. Right now even though the Lab has been burned to the ground. Police think that there might be more to this mystery."
"Looks like we need to get Noah and Henry out of the way," A man spoke.
"Indeed my lord," The butler agreed.
The man turned off the Tv and got up taking a sip of his tea. Then his butler speaks.
"What's the plan?" The butler asks.
The man does say anything. He grabs a dart and throws it at a wall filled with all the kids that died. Then he smiles.
"The game has begun," The man laughed.
The man sat down on his chair and laughed before letting out a big smile.
