Author's Note: Ok so I wanted to give this a shot. Granted I'm no master writer. But, everyone has to start somewhere. Am I right? This is to help me so that I can improve and write something better down the road. I'm not the greatest with explaining detail. But, I'm going to try and do my best. Anyways, let's get it started. So basically this one shot takes place moments after Raven gives Damian the Dog in the Judas Contract. (I know a few people have already written about this example. But, I'm going to put my stamp on this one). Anyways, I hope that you all enjoy it and be sure to give me some feedback so that I can improve!

Damian was standing on the roof of Titans tower holding the mask of Slade Wilson. It had been a pretty traumatic couple of weeks for the team. Terra, who was believed to be their friend and ally had betrayed them and died shortly afterwards. It was tough on everyone. During this time Damian had been captured and tortured. Helpless, knowing he couldn't save his friends and just had to endure it all. As mad as he was at Terra he knew it was all Slade's doing. He knows the effect that Slade has on people. After all, he experienced it when he was younger. He thought he could try to help Terra. Maybe if he had more time he could save her from Slade and make things right. But, he couldn't. If only he knew earlier. He could have saved her....

As Damian was thinking about this Raven appeared beside him. Out of all the Titans Raven understood him more than anyone else. The two of them had a special bond and she was always looking out for him and he really appreciated it. Even if he didn't always admit it. Raven then turned to look at him and moved her cape that was covering her front out of the way to reveal a puppy that she was holding.

A few seconds passed before Damian Spoke.

Damian: "What's with the Dog?"
Raven: "He's a rescue dog. I got him from the animal shelter."

Damian stared at the little puppy for a short time before Raven spoke again.

Raven: "I got him for you Damian."

Damian was surprised and taken back by what raven had said to him. She got a dog for Home? Why would she do that? He thought to himself.

Damian: "What made you want to do that?"
Raven: "It's been a rough couple of weeks for all of us. With Brother Blood trying to kill us, Slade torturing you, and Terra dying it's not been a good time. I've noticed that you've looked really down lately and I've sensed that you're missing something in your life so I thought this would cheer you up and give you something special to hold on to."

Damian was surprised by the gesture on Raven's part and smiled at her.

Damian: "This is... one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me."

Raven gave him a smile back.

Damian: "Can I hold him?"
Raven: "Of Course."

Raven handed the puppy over to him and for the first time in a long time Raven could sense a bit of happiness in Damian.

Damian: "Does he have a name?"

Raven: "No, he doesn't. You get to give him a name."

Damian thought about what name to call the dog and eventually came to a conclusion.

Damian: "Titus."

Raven: "Why Titus?"

Damian: "I read a lot of Shakespeare. Besides I think he likes it."

Damian looked the puppy in the eyes and the dog licked his face prompting Damian to let out a joyful laugh.

Raven: "This is working better than I thought. I haven't seen you laugh like that since our first mandatory fun meeting that night at the carnival."

Damian: "Yeah, and I wonder who was responsible for that?"

He had a slight smirk when he said that. Upon seeing that smirk Raven blushed a bit and tried to hide her face from being seen.

Damian: "Raven......"

Raven: "Yeah?"

Damian: "Thank you. For everything that you've done for me since I got here. Despite how I may act sometimes, I really appreciate what you have done for me. Without you. I don't know where I'd be right now."

Raven smiled. Seeing the progress Damian has made since she first met him has been incredible and it made her feel good knowing that all the hard work she has done for him has been appreciated. She then went and put her hand on Damian's shoulder.

Raven: "You're Welcome Damian and I also wanted to say something to you."

Damian: "What is it?"

Raven: "I wanted to thank you to. For going to the hell and back to save me and choosing me over your grandfather. I know that wasn't easy."

Damian: "It was the right choice and if the circumstances were the same I'd choose you every time."

Raven: "You would?"

Damian: "Every Time."

Raven: "Why me though?"

Damian: "Isn't it obvious? You're an empath. You can sense it. You've known for awhile and so have I. But neither of us will say it."

Raven: "You have feelings for me don't you?"

Damian took a moment to respond and ultimately nodded his head in agreement.

Damian: "Yes... I do."

Raven had been wanting to hear him say that for a long time. Her feelings for him began back during that time that she healed him after he fought with Blue Beetle and over the course of the past year they have been growing stronger and stronger and she was having difficulty containing them.

Raven: "I was hoping you'd say that because I feel the same way about you."

Damian, who was still holding and petting Titus at the time smiled at Raven. But, then he sighed. Even though he really liked Raven. He was worried about getting too close to one of his teammates and thought about how it would effect the rest of the team.

Damian: "Look Raven, I really like you. But, I'm not sure how this will affect the team if we were to start going out. What about down the road if we were to break up? Would we even be able to handle being on the same team?

Raven: "Damian..."

Raven took Titus out of Damian's hands and gently set him on the ground.

Raven: "Let's not worry about that right now. Why don't we just take this thing one step at a time?"

Damian: "Are you sure?."

Raven: "Damian, after all the stuff that we have been through I feel like we could try something that makes the both of us happy for once."

Damian looked deep into Raven's eyes. He felt something stirring inside of him. An uplifting feeling. Something that he wasn't accustomed to. But, it's a feeling that he liked and wanted to experience. His whole life was doom and gloom and maybe after all he's done and all the past sins that he has made up for. He's earned this moment.

Damian: "Ok Raven. I'll give this a shot."

Raven smiled at him and he smiled back at her.

Damian: "I just got one question though. I've never been in a relationship before so I was wondering. How do we start?"

Raven: "I think we start with this..."

Raven put her arms around Damian's neck and Damian put his hands on her hips and the two of them leaned in and kissed each other for the very first time.

Author's Note: Well that was my first attempt at a one shot. I have a lot of ideas. I just have problem in writing them down.
