The second theory I will present to you about why the Ice Cream Machine is always broken at McDonalds is that the multi billion dollar company in question is working with the PENTAGON.

The Pentagon - One of the largest office buildings in the world, the Pentagon serves as the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense. A symbol of American military strength, the concrete and steel building is recognized around the world. Nearly 30,000 military and civilian personnel work inside the Pentagon each day.

Lets think about some other things.

Every company that sells goods as a supplier. McDonalds has a supplier for Ice Cream mix or whatever. What if, every Ice Cream Mix supplier makes their mix poisonous and only McDonalds and The Pentagon know about it.

Think about it, have you ever felt sick after eating ice cream from a fast food restaurant? Yup point proven.

Now, since the Pentagon is the Dep. of Defense, they are defending the world from the poison of the Ice Cream Mix at Mcdonald's Ice Cream machines by making them or PAYING them to say "Oh sorry, our ice cream machine is broken" and BOOM! People are defended.
