Error's Axetale Temmie - Bodyswitching - Rescue

The AU that they entered was quiet, too quiet for any of them to like. They were used to hearing some form of sound in the background.

Ink was used to the rustle of his clothes, the noise that Broomie made, to the scratch of a pencil against paper...

Error was used to the sound of his knitting needles hitting each other, to his own strings and the sounds that they made, to the rustle of his clothes...

Nightmare was used to the background noise that was his boys, to the scratch of his pen on paperwork, to the small noises that his tentacles made...

Cross was used to the rustle of his clothes, to the racket that he and the others could create, to Nightmare yelling at them...

But the silence, it was smothering, infecting them, searching for a weakness and it found one.

Chaos was shivering, with Error signs slowly taking over her eyelights as she started to gulp for air and tug at her scarf. Ink reacted to this by creating a small music player with a set of headphones before he switched it on and put the headphones onto her skull.

The sound of a music box quietly came from the headphones, not too loud to gain attention but loud enough for her to hear it.

"What's going on?" Cross asked. "What's wrong?"

"She has Sedatephobia." Error said, before he hopped from Nightmare's shoulder to the currently female skeleton's right shoulder, where he began to purr. "The fear of silence but she's okay now, because I'm here. It's going to be okay Chaos, just breathe and focus on the music." Error then looked at Ink. "Thanks... Inky."

"Save it for later." Ink tugged his scarf up so that it covered his cheeks and his blush. "We do not need anyone to be having a panic attack right now, it would just get in our way. Now, come on, let's go and get Blue back and then, get out of here."

The snow crunched underneath their feet as they walked, Snowdin was empty and some of the houses looked like they had been broken into or a fight had broken out inside or outside of them, and Dust had been spread everywhere. There was even a few bones scattered around the place, evidence of a fight.

"These bones, do they belong to Blue?" Chaos asked as they went pass some of them.

"No, they aren't his." Ink gently placed one of his hands on the bones, feeling the Magic within them. "They feel like they belong to Stretch, but not the Stretch that we know, and they're old, I can't figure out the exact date that they were created, but the best guess that I can give you for that is a week."

"And the last time that anyone saw Blue was a week ago." Nightmare frowned. "These must be from when he arrived in this AU, it looks like he didn't go down without a fight."

"But why did it take so long for the negative feelings to reach you, or Dream, since he's in your body?" Ink asked.

"It could be the distance, or Blue is stronger than he looks, strong enough to keep running from this guy for a week, the only way that he could be experiencing those emotions is if this Papyrus has caught him."

"Then, why didn't he use a portal to escape then?"

"Because they take time, especially when you're making sure that the incident that brought you here isn't repeated and you're sent to another AU that puts you in danger." Nightmare frowned. "Blue must be low on Magic, especially when you're running and defending yourself from an insane version of your brother, he might not have enough Magic left to create a portal."

"And every monster has a limit to how much Magic that they can use without tapping into your Health to fuel the Magic." Cross spoke up. "Blue must have hit his limit and the only way to get help was to use his negative emotions to try and reach Nightmare."

"And the drop in positive emotions from Blue would have told Dream that something was wrong, because he knows just how much positive emotions that Blue can give off." Ink muttered. "Dream is so used to our feelings that he can tell when something is wrong but since Dream and Nightmare switched, no one could tell the difference, well, until Dream felt a burst of negative emotion strong enough to wake him up."

Error's intact ear twitched and he frowned. "Guys, someone's coming, hide! Now!" He whispered and everyone nodded their heads.

Ink hid in one of the more intact houses, ducking down out of sight while Cross took a shortcut onto a tree branch. Chaos slipped into an alleyway, using the shadows to hide her and Error, and Nightmare? He climbed through one of the broken windows of Muffet's, hiding against a wall.

Everyone waited for a few minutes to see who was coming their way, and they were rewarded by the familiar form of a Swap Sans. They all sighed in relief, only to freeze when they got a closer look at Blue.

His clothing was a mess, his battle body had clearly been destroyed and he was left in a torn shirt and trousers covered in dirt, Dust, his own marrow and magic, and his bones were just as caked in it, just like his clothes. His bandana was tied over his left eyesocket and fresh marrow dripped from a wound above his right eyesocket. Cross gently touched the small scar above his left eyesocket, he knew where and how Blue got that wound.

Chaos frowned before she spotted Ink carefully poking his head out from where he was hiding, their eyelights met and then Ink slowly dragged one of his fingers down his ink splattered cheek before he pointed at Blue and made a tugging motion before he placed his left hand over his mouth and held three of the fingers on his right hand up.

Chaos nodded her head to show that she got the message before she carefully dragged her fingers down the tearmarkings on her cheeks, summoning the blue strings that Error was famous for. Her hands shook as Ink slowly started to count down.

"You'll be okay." Error told her. "You can do this, I believe in you, everything is going to be okay, alright?"

"Yeah." She muttered. "Everything is going to be okay."

"It will be, now, let's go and get our friend back."

She smiled at Error before Ink finished the countdown and she lashed out with the strings, wrapping them around Blue and tugging at them, dragging him towards them and once Blue was close enough, she physically grabbed him and pulled him into the shadows, placing one hand on his mouth to prevent him from giving them away before she gently shushed at Blue as she dismissed the strings.

"Error? Chaos?" Blue quietly asked once the hand was removed, his voice was scratchy, as if he had been screaming and he didn't have anything to drink to soothe his throat.

"Yeah, it's us Blue." Error whispered, earning a confused look from the Swap Sans because that was Error's voice coming from the body of Chaos. "We'll explain everything later but for now, Ink is the one responsible for us switching bodies and Magic. Dream and Nightmare were hit by it too."

Blue nodded his head before he suddenly hugged Chaos, burying his head in a comfortable position before he started to silently cry in relief. His friends were here, everything was going to be okay now.

Chaos wrapped her arms around him before she looked at Ink, to see that his eyelights were now red, she tightened her grip on Blue as Error gently hopped onto one of Blue's shoulders and he started to quietly purr.

Everyone then heard the sound of another monster heading their way, this one was louder than Blue and he didn't seem to care about the face that he was making a lot of noise. Ink ducked down even more where he was hiding, Cross climbed higher into the tree, Nightmare stepped further away from the window and the group of Chaos, Error and Blue slipped further into the shadows to hide.

This version of Stretch looked just like the original, if you ignored the layers of Dust, dirt and blood that he was covered in. The guy even had fresh marrow and magic stains all over his hands.

A needle and thread was being held onto tightly in one of them and in the other hand was a black button, identical to the ones he had sown over his own eyesockets.

Cross looked sick, he never forgot what that Papyrus almost did to him, he nodded his head at Nightmare when he briefly saw his boss, who nodded his head at Ink who held three fingers up again.

"Oh Sans, where are you brother~"

"3..." Cross got his knife ready.

"2..." Nightmare slowly summoned a bone to use as a weapon.

"1..." Purple paint started to drip from the tip of Broomie as Ink got ready to attack.

"NOW!" Ink yelled as he rushed out of his hiding place, swiping Broomie through the air and covering the Swap Papyrus in purple paint which quickly turned into chains, before Nightmare directed his summoned bones to knock the Swap Papyrus down before he pinned him to the ground by directing two of his summoned bones through his shoulders while Cross took a shortcut and he reappeared above the Swap Papyrus, driving his knife down into his stomach, taking out a lot of his HP in one blow.

"Oh Sans~ You came back and you brought friends with you..."

The Swap Papyrus was suddenly muffled by a gag created from strings. "Shut the hell up." Chaos hissed as she glided out of the alleyway, followed by Blue who was holding Error and petting him on the head, Blue's bandana was a bit crooked, as if it had been retied in a hurry. "I am not in the mood to listen to your crap."

"Chaos?" Nightmare asked. "What's wrong?"

"There's a button over Blue's eye, underneath the bandana." Error hissed. "It slipped and we saw it."

Ink frowned, before he sighed. "This AU has to go." He finally said. "It's too dangerous for it to exist, not if this Swap Papyrus is allowed to get away with crimes like this."

"I'll destroy it once everything is back to normal." Error promised. "But in the meantime, what should we do about him?"

"I say that we get rid of him now." Cross muttered. "Before we leave, I don't want to give him a chance to get us in the back while one of us creates a portal to get out of here and I don't think that Blue can take another hit, we need to get him out of here."

"So, all in favour of dusting this Papyrus and taking Blue to a Healer, raise your hands." Nightmare said. "Or we could go for the second option, which is to leave him here and just leave to take Blue to a Healer, don't raise your hands."

Almost everyone raised their hands, Ink was quiet for a few seconds before he raised his hand to join the others. It seemed that everyone here agreed that this Papyrus needed to go. He had hurt someone precious to all of them, he had to go.

Cross pulled his knife out and he handed it to Nightmare who stabbed the Swap Papyrus through his soul, dusting him and finally putting an end to his spree of horror and terror.

Ink quickly made a portal and everyone stepped through it, arriving back at the Star Sans base. Blue looked around with his uncovered eye before he sighed in relief and collapsed on the nearest couch, breathing in the scent of one of his most favourite places.

Horror, Dust and Killer looked up from the card game that they were playing, taking in Blue's condition and checking his stats. Dream was still out cold but the ooze was starting to retreat from his bones, allowing them to be seen for the first time in a long time. "Boss, is Blue going to be okay?" Dust asked, putting down his playing cards.

"He'll be fine." Nightmare told his boys. "He just needs a Healer now."

"We can go to the Healer now." Ink said after he walked over to check on his paint mix. "Or we can change you back and then go to the Healer, the paint mix is finished."

"Ink, how did you make them switch bodies?" Blue suddenly asked as he stopped petting Error.

"It was my fault, I forgot that I had a new paint mix on me when we went to fight them, I didn't know what it did until it happened." Ink slowly started to move away from Blue.

"So, you tested an unknown paint mix on my friends..." Blue hissed.

"I thought that they had kidnapped you again!"

"Ink, we schedule those kidnappings so events like the paint mix don't happen! Because normally, a note is left behind with a time and date that I would be 'freed' on and I normally let you guys know when I am going out."

Ink looked embarrassed, he had actually forgotten that when Error kidnapped Blue, a note was usually left behind to let them know that he had been 'kidnapped' again.

"Was it Stretch Blue?" Ink eventually asked.

"Yeah, he just wouldn't leave me alone so I wanted to go to another AU so I could have some time alone, but he interrupted me, and when I finally got away from him, I found myself in that AU."

"We seriously need to talk to him about his brother complex." Error said. "It's starting to put you in danger Blue, because what if this happens again and unlike this time, we don't make it in time to save you? We almost lost you today."

"I know." Blue sighed. "I have the contact details of somebody named Blackout, he's me from another Multiverse where my brother did something with their Ink to him and his Dream that he will never forgive or forget. He said if it feels like my Stretch was going a bit too far to call him and he'll make it stop. I choose to give my brother one last chance but what happened to me is something that I can't forgive or forget. He went too far and I paid the price for it. I'll call him and let him know what happened today once I'm fully healed."

"But, does that apply to me too?" Ink asked.

"No Ink, because unlike my brother, you came when I needed help, and this bodyswitching, it's something that can be forgiven and in time, we'll look back at this and laugh at what happened. You also helped to fix the mistake that you made, but Ink, once I'm better, I'll get you for this, okay?"

Ink nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm okay with that Blue."
