(In which Dreamswap!Chaos pretends to be a Ghost from Dream's past, just to give him a hug and a gift for Christmas, without revealing to him that she is still alive.)

"Are you sure about this?" Nightmare asked as Chaos finished dying her hair white.

"Yeah, I am." Chaos said as she started to pull her hair back, to recreate the hairstyle that she had all those years ago. "Besides, Dream deserves to have a Good Christmas for once." She mumbled through a mouthful of pins.

"Yeah..." Nightmare said, thinking over the last few years of Christmases for Dream that they had seen. "You're right...."

Chaos giggled as she walked out of a portal, softly glowing thanks to some Magic, she had also covered herself in white powder and painted any bare skin that she was showing white, before she started to make her way to Dream's office. It was quiet, most of the humans and Monsters that worked here had been sent home for the holidays.

The winged skeleton was asleep at his desk, in his office. He had obviously been working late, again, because of the paperwork. She smiled and she walked over to him, shaking his shoulder. "Dream, come on, wake up."

Dream slowly opened his eyes to see a white figure next to him, the soft glowing and how tired he was prevented him from identifying the person properly, but it was the hairstyle that told him who it was. A small portion of the hair had been tied back into a bun while the rest of it had been left alone.

"Chaos?" His voice was slurred but he remembered the human that went missing all those years ago. The human that had been his Brother's best friend. He still didn't know what had happened to her, had she been affected by his Magic like the rest of the villagers or did she lead a normal life, dying from old age, surrounded by her grandchildren?

"Come on, let's get you to your bed."

He had to be seeing things, how else could he explain how the ghost of one of the villagers that he knew so long ago, was leading him to his bed or how she even knew where to take him? Had she been here all this time? Keeping an eye on him and Nightmare?

"Merry Christmas Dream." Chaos said as she pulled him into a hug before she helped him into his bed. He slowly closed his eyes, not noticing the gift placed underneath the tree.

Dream woke up the next morning with a bit of a headache, last night had been a dream, right but how did that explain the gift underneath his tree?

Wait, what?!

He quickly got out of his bed and he rushed over to the tree, picking up the small gift and reading the name tag on it.

"Merry Christmas Dream,

We still Iove you, even if you are being an idiot.

~Nightmare & Chaos." 

He gasped and he quickly tore away the wrapping paper, revealing a small box. He carefully opened it to reveal a necklace with a golden Sun Charm on it.

His eyelights widened as he tried to figure out what happened, but in the end, he just smiled and he put the necklace on, feeling the Sun Charm rest against his sternum.
