Chapter 2

Hi, whatsupp? I uploaded a bit soon because i love you.

"Y/N? You have an empty seat beside you. Let Yoongi sit there."

WHAT?! 😱

Panic mode: activated.

..............................

I quickly sat up straight, looking around like I had just been caught in the middle of a crime scene. My mind screamed, "Why me? Why now?!" I didn't want to sit beside him! I was perfectly happy sitting alone.

"Any problem?" Mrs. Chung asked, raising an eyebrow. I quickly shook my head.

"Go, sweetheart," she said sweetly to Yoongi, but he looked at her like she'd just spoken a forbidden word.

Yoongi walked over to his seat. Our eyes met for a few seconds before he tore his gaze away and sat down.

"Hi, I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you," I said, flashing my most charming smile. For the record, charm is my specialty. No one can resist it. 😉

"I already know your name," he replied flatly, without any emotion.

Well, that was cold. "You're rude, you know? You could've at least smiled," I huffed, but he completely ignored me and focused on the teacher.

Ugh, I don't like this boy at all. He was so cold. God, save me from this hell! Why couldn't I sit next to Jungkook instead? Even Jin would've been better. At least he's not an ice block like Yoongi.

The first period was history, and it was boring as usual. I didn't even realize I was dozing off until I leaned on Yoongi's shoulder. Suddenly, the comfy support under my head disappeared, and I almost fell out of my seat.

"Sit straight! And keep your distance from me," Yoongi snapped, shrugging me off like I was an insect. Ugh, I can't sit next to him for the rest of the session!!

I made a poker face and turned my head in the opposite direction. That's when I spotted Jin staring at me. His smile looked heavenly—[note my sarcasm]. I waved at him, and he blew me a kiss. In return, I gave him my best I'm-about-to-throw-up gesture.

[A/N: No hate to the real Seokjinnie. This is just a character from my book.]

Finally, the class ended, and I jumped out of my seat, stretching my stiff body. "Were you born on ice? Why are you so cold?" I grumbled at Yoongi. He simply chuckled and got up from his seat, leaving the classroom.

"Yah! Did you just ignore me?!" I yelled, following him out.

I kept ranting behind him as we walked down the corridor. Other students gave me weird looks, but I didn't care. By now, they should know that weird is my default setting. I followed Yoongi until he suddenly stopped and turned to face me. I nearly crashed into his chest but stopped just in time.

"What is your problem?" he scoffed, clearly annoyed. "Are you planning to follow me in there?" He pointed at the door behind him.

I glanced around and realized I was standing in front of the gent's toilet. Oh no... My cheeks turned as red as a tomato. Stupid me! I just made a fool of myself in front of this guy! "Ahem... Ahem... Okay, then I'll wait. We'll talk when you come out."

Yoongi's lips twitched as he tried to hold back his laughter. He quickly disappeared inside, clearly amused by the whole situation.

Just then, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see Namjoon and his girlfriend, Jessi—both of them were good friends of mine.

"Hey, what's up?" I greeted them with a big smile.

Namjoon smiled back. "We're good. How about you?"

"Best as usual," I winked.

"What are you doing here?" Jessi asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Umm... I've got some important business," I replied, trying to sound casual.

"In front of the gent's toilet?" Namjoon smirked, pointing at the door behind me.

"Oh, c'mon! Stop teasing her," Jessi laughed, pulling him along. "See you later, Jill!"

I stood there for a good five minutes, but Yoongi never came out. Did he eat too much last night? Confused, I headed back to the classroom, only to find Yoongi already seated at his desk. Wait... how did he—? Is he a ghost?! I stomped over to my seat, fuming.

"Hello, Mr. I-told-you-to-wait!" I snapped.

"Why should I?" he replied in the same cold tone.

"Why do you keep ignoring me? Why are you so cold towards me? Ugh, I can't deal with you!" I banged my hand on his desk, exhaling sharply. "Have I done something to offend you?"

"Why are you after me? Have I done anything to you? As far as I remember, you're no one to me," he replied, completely unfazed.

Ouch. His words stung a little, but they were true. He hadn't done anything to me—I was the one bothering him. So why was I so annoyed at his coldness? I knew the answer: I wasn't used to being ignored by anyone.

"Why can't we be friends?" I asked, trying my best to sound friendly.

"Because I don't want to," he scoffed.

Ouch! That was harsh.

"Fine! I won't bother you again!" I huffed.

I was a little hurt by his words, even though he meant nothing to me. But did he really have to say it like that? I lost all motivation to talk to anyone for the rest of the day. I officially hate that boy.

TIME SKIP

After an exhausting day at school, I dragged myself home, hoping for some peace and quiet. But as soon as I opened the front door, I noticed a new pair of shoes in the entryway. Who could that be? I wondered.

"Eomma? Where are you?" I called out, confused.

"She went shopping. Come to the living room!" Jimin's voice came from somewhere inside.

I blinked, surprised to see him surfing the kitchen. "Wait—aren't you supposed to be at the office?"

"I'm working from home today," he said nonchalantly, popping open two cans of Coke from the fridge.

I followed him into the living room, curious about our mysterious guest. As I stepped in, my eyes landed on none other than Jimin's best friend and colleague—Kim Taehyung.

Oh boy... this just got interesting.

"Tea?!" I chirped as soon as I plopped onto the sofa between Jimin and Taehyung.

"Coffee!" he flashed his adorable boxy smile.

"Long time no see! How you doing?" I squeezed myself even more snugly between the two, as if I belonged right there.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Tae patted my head like I was a little kid, which only made me huff.

"Umm, Tea? Are you working from home too?" I asked, half-jokingly, even though he was clearly sitting here with a laptop.

Taehyung nodded without a word, keeping that amused smile on his face.

"Stop calling him 'Tea,'" Jimin jumped in, trying to sound all serious, "He's five years older than you." He attempted to frown but, let's be honest, Jimin couldn't stay mad at me even if I danced on his work laptop.

"Yes, Coffee... listen to your oppa..." Tae mimicked Jimin in a ridiculous high-pitched tone, which made me stifle a laugh.

"Taehyung oppa," I emphasized oppa with all the fake respect I could muster, hoping he'd stop this nonsense and call me by my actual name for once. But nope, Taehyung being Taehyung, decided to play along in his own way.

"No, it's okay, Caw-ffeeiee... I'm good," he emphasized on my nickname and succesfully got under my skin.

I furrowed my brows at him, visibly unimpressed. Was this guy seriously not going to let it go?

"Enough!" Jimin groaned, clearly tired of the never-ending 'coffee/tea' debate. "Jill, please go to your room and let us work. We have a project due tomorrow."

I glanced over at the tea table and saw their laptops were open, spreadsheets on display, looking all businessy. They actually did seem busy. Still, I wasn't quite done with my antics.

"You guys need to 'brew' up some ideas, huh?" I snickered, pointing at their laptops.

Jimin sighed. Tae, though? He chuckled, giving me a wink. "Good one, Coffee."

"Fine, fine, I'll leave you two 'caffeine heads' to your pressing matters," I said dramatically, getting up and finally heading toward my room. But not without muttering under my breath, "I'll spill the beans on your secret meetings later..."

Jimin facepalmed while Tae just kept grinning like the troublemaker he was.
