Jax's POV:
I've been twiddling my thumbs for the last three hours. After the night I had with Lena I couldn't help but think. I had little to no sleep at all and it's all because of the party.

The Alpha party that the royal family hold once every six months for the week.

Each Alpha, his Luna, beta and beta female comes to the castle. We have meetings or just I simple dinner party.

I usually hate these things.

This will be the first one I'll be in charge of throwing and I don't want to. A number of reasons have added to this and the main one is Lena.

She doesn't talk about her old pack and what happened to her. I don't want to upset her or have her old pack alpha in my house.

Then there is the whole hunter thing, Ace's pups, Ace being the white wolf, Bennett coming back, Cole being sick, Christina, Derek and Elijah coming home everything is just piling up on me.

I'm so behind on everything and this party is long over due.

Before I could even think about pulling my hair out I decided only one person could help me with this.

"Lena, baby? I'm going to work I'll see you in a bit okay."

I kissed her forehead and she slowly opened her eyes before nodded. She then fell back to sleep and I kissed her forehead once again before leaving.

I could smell bacon being cooked in the kitchen and I raced down Ace is cooking perfect.

"Ace can I ask you something?"

She looked up to face me with a smile on her face as if to tell me to continue.

"Do you think I should throw the Alpha party?"

She span around rolling her eyes. She hates these things just as much as me.

"Come on Jax, the Alpha party really. That is something mom and dad used to do it's their old tradition. Your the king you don't have to do the old people thing."

I smirk at her remark she was so right. But it is as she said an old tradition it's part of being King.

"Who old mamma?"

Ace and I darted down to see Luca standing next to Ace with a confused look. Ace looked up at me and it took everything in me not to laugh.

"Mommy and uncle Jax were talking about an old party baby."

Luca just chuckled he knows what we were really talking about.

I have to say he is so intelligent for his age, he understands so much and he's so young. I guess that's what happens when your conceived from a wolf pregnancy.

"What do you think buddy? Do you think I should plan a party?"

I said with a huge grin on my face knowing full well Ace was not going to like his answer.

"Yes, yes yes! Party will cheer up daddy."

Ace shook her head playfully before tickling Luca. I guess I have my answer.

"Well then I guess the party is on."

Luca ran around the kitchen laughing away before running off with a huge grin.

"Party, party!"

He called out well I guess I don't have to tell everyone now, thank you Luca.

"Well done Jax. If he shifts you can calm him down. But on a serious note thank you. You've cheered him up, he's being upset lately with Cole being unwell."

I pulled Ace into a hug before kissing her forehead.

"I love you sis. Right I'd better go see Lena, I've got to get planning a party and invite people."

Ace chuckled before I left her to find Lena. This is going to be an interesting conversation.

"Lena, baby where are you?"

I called for her but our room was empty. Once I heard the shower I walked over to the bathroom door.

"Lena, baby can I come in?"

I knocked, after the last time I saw Lena in a towel I want to be careful this time.

Of course Ghost had a different idea. Before I knew it I had turned the door-handle and walked in.

The steam flew out the room and their stood Lena in the shower. I wanted to run out as quick as possible before she saw me I don't want to upset her again.

Once I did gain control I was about to leave when I saw Lena's body. It was covered in scars and old bruises. My poor baby.

'Our poor baby!'

Ghost snapped. Well hello to you too.

'Shut up Jax! I want my mate.'

I rolled my eyes at his comment so much for Lena being our mate. Ghost we have to go, we can't upset Lena.

'No, not this time Jax I'm taking control!'

Ghost's POV:
The second I saw Grey well Lena in the shower I had to take control way from Jax.

I took off all my clothes and raced into the shower. I wrapped my arms, well Jax's arms around Lena's small frame. She flinched and span round in shock.

"J..Jax?"

She whispered and I shook my head. Before placing small kisses on her face.

"Guess again baby."

I breathed as she closed her eyes, leaning against the wall of the shower. She is so beautiful. I cupped her face in my hands making her look at me.

"G..Ghost?"

She questioned and I nodded my head. I brought her head up close to mine moving it around in my hand and she let me.

"Jax never let's me take control and be with you. He's scare that I'll mess everything up."

I sighed as the hot water rolled down our bodies. The bathroom was covered in stream and I could see it was making Lena dizzy. She was swaying side to side.

"Why is he scared?"

She whispered as she continued to sway like she was about to fall.

So I strengthen my grip gently around her waist bringing her closer to me. She flinched slightly before falling in my arms.

"Because I am not as patient as him."

I mutter before looking into her beautiful blue and white eyes. I see why Jax loves them so much.

"I just want you all to myself. I love you and I want to protect you but Jax is scared I'll try to hard. That I'll do something in front of you that will make you angry or upset with me."

I mutter again and tears welled up in my eyes. I looked at Lena and tears where falling down her face along with the water from the shower.

"I'll try to get Jax to let you take control a little more, Ghost."

She whispered and a smile surfaced on my face. I pulled her into my chest again. Before I lifted her head up and kissed her lips.

She started to kiss me back hesitantly until our lips finally moved in sync. I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around my torso. As we continued to deepen our kiss with more and more passion.
