Once upon a time, there was only a single being in existence, Mew. She would roam the empty black expanses of the universe with nothing much to do, the universe was after all, empty of life other then itself. Eventually the little pink Pokémon grew bored of this, there was no one to play with, nothing to do leaving the playful Pokémon with nothing but hollowness inside its beginning were unknown to it as was its purpose for being in this empty black expansion of space. So it decided to create a friend. It never really knew how it did it, the power of creating life just seemed to lay dormant within and the action grew as it it was made to do just that, create a friend.

Arceus.

That was to be its name, it felt right to Mew as it called upon its new companion. However, Arceus wasn't the friend it was looking for. Mew wanted friend that it could play with all the time, Arceus was to serious for Mew's liking. So it would go back to playing on its own for endless weeks and eternal years in the vast blackness the two now called home. Arceus noticed Mew's unhappiness and feeling bad for its creator, decided to make a world for Mew to play in an make as many friends as it wanted. This of course made Mew very happy, beginning to make many different creatures to play with and do what they like in the world Arceus had created for it. It seemed like its own purpose was being for filled with ever new life form it made, each new element and each new form the now roamed the earth, filled the seas and flocked the skies. Many guardians had been made to protect and held shape the wonderful new world. Beings to govern time and space, beings of land sea and sky, beings the forest, the moon, the new twinkling stars that now shone brightly above. It however, realized that with so many guardians protecting their own territory the world would turn in to chaos so it made three more beings that would be its last... Three beings to help Arceus manage the world that they had created; Xerneus, Yvetal and Zyguard.

Together they trio of legends took care and governed the world but it was missing something, the creatures Mew had made weren't bonding and interacting the way they should. So together they made one last creation, with Mew's help of course they made the human race. To help lead these new beings they each made a special human who were stronger, purer and kinder then the rest. These the beings would teach the other people right and wrong. Lead them to how they should live. Each of the three had a certain trait that defined them as who they were, as their purpose on the earth and for what they brought into the world.

The young boy that Zyguard had made brought balance to the world, teaching the people of the earth about the good and the bad and how the world must have an equal of both to continue its existence. He could solve any problem no matter how big or small he was known as the Voice of Reason but was often just named as Reason. He walked among the people, keeping the bond of people and Pokémon well respected.

The person that Yvetal had created was a much older man who taught the world the cost of actions. He taught how every move made would impact the world in some way, no matter good or bad the influence was the same. He was know for the magical tricks he could do without batting an eye. He did not name him self but was often called Shadow, named so by his habits of observing the world from the shade of trees or caves in order to watch the actions of the people he was to guide. He was the Voice of Mystery.

The third was a young girl, her eyes always sparkled with the swirling seas and the most beautiful purple jewels. She taught the world how to be good, how to strengthen the bond with Pokémon, how they could speak if you would listen, how they would obey you with fierce loyalty if you would do the same. She was always among the people, assisting was problems both great and small where ever she was needed. Her voice was like gold, tinkling with the Stars, every note on perfect pitch and every word would roll off her tongue, mesmerizing the listener, she would go by the name of Purity for she was the Voice of Purity, pure within every inch of her body.

Now all three had magnificent voices, voices made to guide and inspire the people they lead, but the best was by far Purity. Reason and Shadow never minded this, the gift of song was not for them but every so often they would sing together.

However, peace was not to last, when Yvetal fought with Xerneus it corrupted the flow of peace throughout the land. Shadow grew vain and started to harm the other people and Pokemon claiming to be greater that both of them the problem was one in which not even Reason could solve, bringing darkness to the earth.

Shadow started to use his voice to corrupt the minds of the Pokemon. This affected Purity more than any one else as her bond with both people and Pokemon was deeper and stronger than any one else. Slowly Purity began to weaken and the amount of time she spent with people decreased as she no longer had the strength to do what she loved.

Mew saw what was happening and banished Shadow and putting a stop to his corruption. It didn't take long for Purity to recover, going back to the doing what she was made to do, playing and talking with the people, guiding them and assisting them in their path. This angered Yvetal greatly and he vowed to get his revenge on Purity for being the favorite among people and Pokémon but Zyguard and Xerneus forbade it. Yvetal saw this as favoritism over Purity and he laid a curse upon Shadow, that he would live as long as he needed to kill the Voice of Purity and from then, he became know as the Voice of Darkness.

Mew soon found out about the curse and warned Purity, together they agreed that her gift should be hidden away. For this Mew made a special Pokémon dubbed as Meloetta who would decide when the gift of the Voice if Purity would come back and whom to give it to.

So Purity was changed into a regular person, but her voice remained the same. Overcome with rage of being tricked Shadow killed Purity out of overwhelming anger. Reason, fearing he was next, fled and Shadow disappeared knowing that soon the Voice would show itself, when the time was right.

And not one of the three have been seen since, until now...
