>Emma's Pov<

I collapsed on one of the benches outside and buried my head in my hand.

~What's the matter Emma? I thought you like Red. Like, like liked Red~ Trust questioned.

"I don't know... I just don't think I'm ready." I shook my head.

"Emma?" I turned and looked at Sora. "What happened? I saw you and Red dancing then..." She trailed off and sat next to me.

"I... I don't know. I just don't think I'm ready... I mean all my life I've never know the true meaning of love, so I figured that I'm better off with out it." I looked at my lap. "I mean am I better off without any one? Whenever I let myself get close to people, me or someone I'm close to gets hurt... so am I better off not letting anyone close to me? I'm just so confused..." I sighed.

"I went through something similar ya know..."

"Really? when? you seem to get on perfectly with all your friends."

"A while back I was afraid of all my friends getting hurt so I just pushed them all away... made them think I didn't care. but let me tell you, they'll only get more hurt if you push them away."

"I don't know... I just need to figure this out on my own."

Sora placed her hand on my shoulder and I looked up her. "Emma just know that whatever you've been through in the past, we're your friends. You can trust us... I promise. we'll never leave you, no matter what. You need to understand that."

"I just... don't know how..."

"You can start by trusting us..." Sora smiled. "I'm going to go inside... you coming?"

I shook my head. "I'll stay out here for a while..."

"K, I'll let Silver know so he doesn't start thinking that you got kidnaped or something."

"Thanks Sora."

Sora went inside and I picked up my new Pokéball and rolled it round in my hands, not really wanting to open it.

~You're going to have to open it sometime...~ Faith told me.

I had told them all about mine and Night's time in the middle.

"I know..." I took a deep breath in and pressed the release button on the Pokéball, letting Night out.

"TOOK YOU BLOODY LONG ENOUGH!!!" She roared and I almost face palmed.

"A Vulpix!? Really!?" I burst out laughing.

"It's not that funny." Night said examining herself. "It's actually quiet nice..." She shook her orange fur and looked herself over.

"Hey you speak English." I stated

"Hmm... guess I do."

"Yeah don't speak to anyone though, just me and my Pokemon, k?"

"Why?"

"Cause I said so"

"Fine." She rolled her eyes.

I reached down to stroke her fur and she gave me a not-gonna-happen look.

I shrugged it off and leaned back against the chair and looked at the stars.

~So when are you planing on challenging the champion?~ Faith asked, trying to start a convocation

"ASAP..." I looked at my four most trusted Pokemon and sighed. "Guys listen after the league, I'm... we're going away for a while..."

~WHAT!? YOU FINALLY FIND PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR YOU AND YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE THEM!?~ Faith exploded

"Not forever Faith... just a while so I can think... figure things out."

~Promise you're not going leave forever?~ She raised her eyebrow

"How could I Faith? there the closest thing I have to family..."

<A week and 12 hours later>

Bertha returned her Hipoudon looking majorly disappointed. "Good work Emma, only one more of us before the champion. Good luck."

"Thank you" I returned Twilight to her Pokéball after spraying her with a Full restore

Bertha walked out of the arena and the final member of the Elite four walked out.

"Abby?" I gasped at my old... friend I guess... I had met her in Hoenn about two years ago now. I had battled her but we soon had to go separate ways and I haven't seen her since.

"Emma? Hi." She smiled. "Long time no see. wow you must have gotten stronger to have made it this far."

I smiled. "Thanks. Now let's get this battle started." I placed a Max revive on the Button to Trust's Pokéball, the Pokéball absorbed it healing her completely.

I did the same to my other Pokemon, making sure that they were all fully healed.

"Trust, prepare for battle!" I yelled, Trust jumped out and landed on her feet, did a twirl and straitened up and smiled at Abby in a taunting way.

"Go Grace!" Abby let out her shiny Guardivoir

"Trust, Dig than Iron tail!"

She nodded briefly before diving into the ground.

"See if you can seance were she'll come up." Abby ordered

"Double team!"

Multiple Espeon's leapt out of the ground making it impossible to tell witch it the real one.

All of the Espeon's tails glowed silver and turned metallic and at the last second they all formed into one and Trust slammed her tail down on Grace.

It's super effective.

"Grace Shadow ball."

Grace formed the shadowy sphere in her hands and shot it at Trust.

"Dodge it!"

"Use it over and over till you hit!"

Multiple Shadow balls shot towards Trust who did her best to dodge them all but got hit by two or three.

She pushed herself to her feet shakily.

"Morning sun!" I yelled.

Trust straitened up an the jewel on her forehead begun to glow as the air grew warmer.

"Now Iron tail."

Trust ran forward as her tail started to glow, she leapt up as it changed to metallic and she hit Grace withy he super effective move once again, knocking her back down.

"Great work Trust" I praised

"Take a rest Grace, that you for your hard work. Now go Mawwy!"

A Mawhile, much like my own came out of Abby next Pokéball.

"Are you good to continue?" I asked Trust.

She nodded and turned to the battle.

"K then, get in close and begin with Dig."

She nodded and dug into the ground.

I looked into the crowd. I hadn't seen Cyrus since he shot me, thank Arceus. I saw my friends and my gaze landed on Red and I quickly looked away. I still hadn't talked with him since the dance... and he probably won't talk with me any way, I'd decided to leave tomorrow strait after my battle with Cynthia... if I won, I don't what I'm going to do if I lost...

I sighed and watched the battle, Trust was still underground.

I let my eyes wonder the field trying to guess where my little pink Pokemon would come up.

She leapt up from behind and got ready to hit the Big jaw Pokemon.

"Quick Mawwy use Shadow ball!"

The jaw on the back of Mawwy's head charged up and let go the Shadow ball to late for Trust to dodge and she was sent flying.

She landed with a thud and didn't get up.

"Great work Trust." I smiled and returned her. my hands hesitated per witch Pokemon I'd choose next.

Night would be a good choice because she was a fire type, but she's not a high enough level yet. Liberty was a Dragon Type so she would be at a disadvantage so would Guardian, Twilight and Hope. I had Trixie with me but she was still to young to handle a battle this big, she was still a baby after all. But Guardian did know a fire type move it would be a risk but I believed that Guardian wouldn't let me down.

"Guardian, prepare for battle!" My Absol jumped out of her Pokéball and crouched down, snarling at Mawwy.

As soon as Guardian landed you could see the level and skill difference and because I'm a show off...

"Guardian Mega evolve, go!" I touched the small gem held to my wrist by a silver chain and held my wrist up.

Guardian was surrounded by a crystal orb that transformed her into her Mega form.

Guardian showed off her new firm with pride, looking at her opponent quiet amused.

<Minor time skip, sorry I had three assessment tasks see today I'm completely exhausted>

"Great job Mel, take a rest." She gave me a thankful as I returned her to her Pokéball

Abby returned her fainted Diancie, to her Pokéball.

"Let's go Hope!" I threw out my final Pokemon, this had been a tough battle and we were both on our final Pokemon

"Faith your turn!"

Hope vs Faith

Oh the irony in this. We were both using female shiny Eeveelutions and I had a Mew named Faith. once again, oh the irony in this.

"Hope Din'n'tail!" I called out. This wasnt actually and attack but a combo, get in close with dig then slam em with an Iron tail. Dig and Iron tail, Dig'n'tail. Get it?

Hope buried her way under ground, disappearing for a few seconds before leaping out of the ground, using the sun as coverage for her next attack which no one saw coming because of the blinding light of the sun.

She slammed her tail into Faith and used the momentum to push herself forward so that she landed in front of me, she looked back towards me seeking approval.

"Great work, now quick Hypnosis!"

The ring around Hope's forehead glowed and she prepared to send the rings at Faith.

"Quick Faith sand attack, aim at her rings!"

Faith quickly swiped sand at Hope, covering the ring on her forehead making her unable to sent the rings out.

"Ok Hope Dig'n'Tail again!"

Not waisting a second she jumped back into the ground.

"Prepare a Moonblast and as soon as Hope comes up hit her with it!"

Faith nodded and formed a pink moon at the tiles of her feelers constantly looking around for Hope.

Hope leapt out from behind and once again used the sun to hide herself as she came back down.

"Shoot it above your head!" Abby ordered.

Faith mover the pink moon above her head and shot it up.

Hole used her metallic tail to slice through it but she took quiet a bit of damage from it.

Hope slammed her tail on Faith sending out a cloud of dust and landed, panting hard.

Damn another hit and Hope would be gone.

The dust cleared to reveal Faith fainted in the ground.

Abby sighed and returned Faith. "Great work girl."

I smiled and ran over to Hope, ignoring the pain in my upper hip as I did so and brought her into a one armed hug, since my arm was still injured.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I repeated.

She smiled at me and winked. ~Anything for you Emma.~

I waved at the applauding crowd and walked toward a the hall, but not before I said my farewells to Abby.

I walked down the hall with Hope in my arm. I saw Silver ahead and waved to him, he frowned at me...

I'm in trouble. Even with Silver's normally arrogant attitude I'm like the only person he will not frown at me unless I'm in trouble.

"Emma." he said quiet sternly.

No doubt about it, defiantly in trouble

"Umm, yeah?" I said hesitantly.

Silver bit his bottom lip and looked at me a little hurt. "Have you been lying to me?"

I could tell he knew the answer, he just wanted me to admit it.

I pretended to be confused. "No, why would I lie to you?"

Silver looked even more hurt. "Emma stop with the act. I know you've been lying to me... or at least not been telling me the whole truth."

Damn it.

I bit my bottom lip and looked at the floor.

Silver gently grabbed my chin and made me look at him. "What aren't you being truthful with me? Why are you lying to me?"

I took a step back and went to run... again.

Silver must have read my mind because he lightly heals me against the wall, carful not to put to much pressure on my left shoulder.

"Emma please talk to me..." Silver looked quiet hurt.

I sighed and shook him off. "I just didn't know how... I hate attention so I try to avoid it, I knew you would over react and panic so I thought it best not to tell you till I sorted it all out." I sighed. "So who told you?"

"I just put two and two together."

"Oh ok then."

"So are you going to tell me?"

"Possibly... Eventually" I shrugged. "I have stuff to do right now, see ya." I waved my good-bye and left.

I officially have one assessment left of the term and the last one is few in two days. Yay \(^_^)/

Oh and I updated my T or D book and I posted a book of randomness
