~few days later~

~Aphmau's P.O.V~

I was outside the assembly room with Travis. I groaned. "I don't see why we have to attend an assembly right now, it's almost time to go home."

"The teacher said that the principal wanted to have a word with the students to congratulate them on a successful first week."

"Couldn't he just congratulate us by letting us go home early?"

"Nah, that'd be too easy obviously."

I started laughing. Travis looked hesitant to say something though.

"Hey, you never told me why you and Y/N weren't in gym class. Did something happen? Y/N is known as a trouble maker."

'What do i say? I don't want to say i had detention. That's not me, but if he finds out Y/N got detention during gym then he'll probably figure it out. What do i say?'

"I-i-i um...got really sick, suddenly." I finished with a nervous chuckle. Travis looked at me suspiciously.

"Are you sure?"

"O-of course I'm sure! Why would i lie about that?!" I say yelling at him. Travis backed away a little from me holding his arms up in surrender.

"You don't have to be so angry- ohhhh i get it, so-sorry that's girl stuff my bad."

"What?! No not- Travis!" I sighed. "Just forget it."

"Look whatever happened, just let me know how i can help next time. But do you know why Y/N wasn't there? They said that she got in a fight in the girls locker room."

"U-uhhh hopefully not." I started to laugh nervously.

"Oh that reminds me! D-do...do you mind if i gave you my phone number?"

"O-oh, um..sure!"

"Since its the weekend and if you wanted to talk about anything, well you could text me or something, call me i- i don't know."

"Heh, thanks!"

~time skip after the speech~

~Aphmau's P.O.V~

The assembly had finished and i was waiting in front of the school for my mom with Travis.

"That speech was...yeah, ahem anyways you walk home right? My dad is going to pick me up today, so if you wanted a ride home, I'm sure we can give you a lift." Travis said.

"Heh, no thanks my moms coming to pick me up today!"

"Ah, i see well you got my number so text me if you want okay?"

"I will and same to you! Text me when-"

"Whats up freshman!"

Its Y/N! Oh thank Irene! Wait she walks home too! Maybe i can give her a ride.

"Hey Y/N, want a ride home?" I ask

She looks at me for a second and nods her head. "Thank Irene you asked, i didn't feel like walking today, such a pain in the ass."

I giggled and i heard a car honk. I turned to my right and saw my mom in the car.

"Aphmau! Let's go! Get your butt over here- wait is that a boy?!"

~Y/N's P.O.V~

Aphmau started whining to her mom.

Her mom started calling to Travis. "Hey you with the white hair! Don't get any ideas with my daughter! Remember you marry into this family you have to deal with me!"

"Ahem, Miss, I'm Aphmau's not alone buddy!"

"Oh well if that were the case then why didn't you say so!? Heh then it was nice to meet you, come on Aphmau let's get going."

"Wait! Mom, can my friend Y/N come over?"

"Who?"

Aphmau pointed to me and I did a small wave. 

"Yeah sure." Her mom said.

We got into her car and we drove off.

~time skip to Aphmau's house~

We went inside her room and it was all purple with Fairy Tail posters and Sword Art Online. She was on her bed using her laptop and i was on her floor. She had lent me some of her clothes, which surprisingly fit.

I saw on my phone that i had gotten a text and it was from Garroth.

Garroth: hey Y/N, want to come over the park with me and Laurence?

Me: um, sure ig, but for what?

Garroth: just to hang out, like we always do

Me: what time exactly?

Garroth: right now

Me: I'll think about it

I put my phone away and i heard that Aphmau got a text too. She out the phone down and looked at me. "Hey Y/N, guess what?"

I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms.

"Laurence asked me to go to the park!" She started to squeal and fangirl.

I smirked, stood up and put my hands on her bed. "Can i go too?"

"Sure! It'll be less awkward if you go since you know him!"

"Right."

"I need to ask my mom first!"

She jumped off her bed, put on her shoes and went running past me down the stairs.

By the time i got there Aphmau was jumping up and down.

"Come on Y/N let's go!"

Aphmau grabbed my wrist and pulled me out her door.

We started walking and she seemed excited. I smirked and stood in front of her. She looked confused.

"Let's have a race whoever gets there last will buy the winner food." I smirked. She smirked back and we got in our running start.

"On the count of 3 we go. 1....2...." i started running. " Psych!" I started running faster.

I got to the park and i cheered and turned to Aphmau who looked like she just ran a marathon. I mean the park isn't far from her house. This was nothing.

I patted her back. "I'll be back, I'm going to drink some water." And with that i left jogging and i went to this water fountain i found.

I started sipping from it until i heard snickering from under a tree. I hadn't noticed but that's the spot the Shadow Knights like to hanng out. I glared at them and the leader came up to me.

"Hello Y/N, haven't seen you in this park for a long time now. What brings you hear?"

I stayed silent and glared at them.

The leader looked over to my left and i saw Laurence and Aphmau talking.

He smirked. I growled loud enough for him to hear.

"Good to see you around this park again, Laurence."

Laurence sighed and glared at him. "Gene."

Laurence saw me next to him and his eyes went in anger again. "Y/N what are you doing with him?!"

I was about to answer but Gene walked over to me and side hugged me. "Well she's my brothers best friend, right Y/N."

I stepped on his foot and he let go of me. "Don't touch Y/N again! You hear Gene."

Gene scoffed and looked at Aphmau. "Geez, we just wanted to say "hi" Laurence, gosh."

"So rude."

Aphmau looked at me and poked me. "Who are these guys?"

"Haven't even properly introduced us to her, eh?" Gene said with a smirk.

I made my hands into fists. "She doesn't need to know anything other than the fact that you guys are no good."

"That's right, I'd rather not introduce her to you guys at all."

Gene scoffed and crossed his arms. "Fine, then I'll be a gentleman and do it myself."

I walked in front of Aphmau with my arms crossed. Gene walked closer and looked passed me. "Hello there, my name is Gene. I'm the leader of the Shadow Knights."

"Sh-shadow Knights? Y/N didn't you tell me about them?"

I looked at her with serious eyes. "Yes, and i suggest you listen to every word i tell you about these guys."

"Its our group. If you want to know more you could always join us."

"Enough Gene. Leave her alone." Laurence walked in front of me and Aphmau.

Gene glared at Laurence and me and went back to Aphmau. "In any case, if you're interested in having some close friends you might want to check us out. We hang out, talk about things, and sometimes do group activities. We usually hang at this park so feel free to stop by."

Aphmau moved next to me. "Th-thank you! Maybe i will stop by."

Me and Laurence quickly turned our heads to her and yelled "no" at the same time.

Aphmau looked at us confused and turned back to Gene.

Gene sighed. "Laurence used to be in our group, but he wasn't hardcore enough. And Y/N never wanted to join, cause she works for trouble...alone."

I grabbed Aphmau by the wrist and started pulling her away.

In the back i heard Zenix say something about Laurence. I hate that loud mouth.

Gene started shouting at us. "You used to be cool Laurence! Y/N you're still cool! And will be mine!"

We walked farther away from them. We stood on the bridge and waiting for Garroth.

I sat on the rail and Laurence looking over it. I ran my fingeres through my hair and sighed. Aphmau looked back at Gene and back at me. "Laurence, Y/N. What was that about?"

Laurence looked at Aphmau. "Thats just Gene and his gang..."

"Gene. Wait. Dante's older brother?!"

Laurence looked surprised. "You know Dante?" Laurence looked at me to see if i knew. I shrugged and nodded.

"Like i told you Aphmau, Gene is the leader of this little group of mischief makers at our school. Honestly they're not as bad as me but still."

"They call themselves Shadow Knights, it's real stupid. In any case, Gene and his group are bad apples. Don't get involved with them. "

Aphmau looked down at her feet. "I see, but what did he mean that you used to be cool? And that Y/N will be his?"

Laurence turned over to me. I nodded. He looked back at Aphmau and sighed. "In freshman year, i hung out with them cause i thought they were cool. The way they dressed, everything. But when they met Y/N it was a different story, they would try to get her to join the group but she wouldn't. One day we were here in this park and we were talking. Gene wanted to have Y/N for himself, he even asked her out on a date but Y/N rejected him and after finding that out, i left the group. Gene isn't crazy around Dante but he did influence him."

"Look Aphmau, we just highly recommend you stay away from him." Aphmau looked at me and she looked worried.

I jumped off the rail thing and a few seconds later i felt an arm going around my shoulder. I look to my right and see Garroth. "Hey!"

Laurence looked over at us and smirked. 'Oh no' "hey Garroth!"

I saw Garroth look over at Aphmau. "Huh? I-i didn't know she was coming."

"Well, i didn't know Y/N was coming either."

They started bickering until Aphmau interrupted them. "Um, Y/N, are you dating Garroth?"

I looked at Garroth's hand, that was resting on my shoulder. I quickly yanked Garroth's hand off of me. I stood straight and put my hands on my hips. Looked straight into her eyes and said, "never...in a million years...would i date this loser. I'd rather date Gene."

Laurence had his eyes wide and looked over to Garroth and back at me. All Garroth did was stay quiet. Everyone looked at me like if they're ashamed.

"What? At least he doesn't flirt with any girl he sees."

Laurence moved his head side to side while looking at me. They left with Aphmau and left me behind.

"Assholes."

I turned around and walked to the a tree and sat down on the root. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of birds chirping.

~later~

I was still at the park but right now i was just walking around. The sun was setting and i decided to start walking back home.

As i was walking i wanted to see Garroth at his house. I turned the opposite way and ran over to Garroth's house.

I got to his house, walked up to the door and knocked. I waited for a few minutes before Vylad opened the door. "Hey Y/N, shat bring you over?" He said as he opened the door more.

"Eh, just wanted to see Garroth, he kind of left me at the park. And i wamted to know why."

"Yeah sure come on in then." I nooded and walked inside. I said hi to Garroth's apremts and went straight to his room.

I walked up the stairs and walked up to Garroth's door. I knocked. "Hey its Y/N, I'm coming in." When i opened the door i saw Garroth shirtless on his bed just throwing his baseball that i gave him in the air.

I slowly came inside and closed the door and sat down on his chair.

It was quiet and awkward. I got up from the chair and sat next to him on his bed. I know when he feels down, so when he does i play with his hair to make him feel more relaxed. But when i was about to he pushed my hand away.

I don't know why but i felt like my heart just shattered to a million pieces. He always likes it when i do that.

He moved his body to the opposite way to not look at me. I was getting mad and i got up and walked to the other side of his bed. "Garroth, what's your problem?" I say as i cross my arms.

Garroth sighed, got up from his bed and walked toward me. Once he was in front of me he pinned me to his bed.

"Ga-garroth, what are you doing?" I say as i try to get released from his grip but for some reason he was holding me down pretty strongly.

He got my arms and put them above my head and he was holding my both wrist with one hand.

"Garroth let go!"

Garroth put his unused hand on my cheek and started caressing it. Rubbing his thumb a little bit under my eyes.

I don't know what to do. His face was coming closer to my face. He was just a few inches aaay from my lips. We looked into each others eyes not looking away. Why am i letring myself do this? He's my best friend, i can't kiss him, and Aphmau likes him, i may be a bitch but not in that way.

Next thing i know....he was kissing me. I don't know why but i started kissing him back. He let go of my hands and i put my arms around his neck. We were having a passionate make out session.

We broke the kiss and we looked into our eyes before Garroth had his face super red and mine was normal. I don't blush. He walked back and started to apologize. I was just sitting on his bed. I got up and walked over to him.

I started brushing his hair with my fingers. He was tall compared to me. Once i did he started to calm down.

"Y-Y/N i-i-i...." i cut him off by putting my finger on his lips.

"I thought you liked Aphmau?"

Garroth looked down at the ground and looked at me again. He pushed me towards him and gave me a tight hug. He was shaking. He's worrying me a lot. "I l-l-love y-you Y/N"
