He looked amazing in a casual polo shirt and grey pants. I tugged at the hem of my dress in worry. Did I look too dressed up?
"Y-You look b-beautiful, C-Claire." he stared at me in wonder and I blushed away from his brown eyes. I grinned at him.
"You clean up pretty nicely, Parker." I tried not to stumble down the stairs. I kissed dad on the cheek and waved to mom who was standing on the stairs. I'm pretty sure she was wiping away tears on her cheeks. We started walking to the nearest Italian restaurant as we had planned.
"So now that the date has officially started, tell me things about you!" I nudged him with my shoulder. Wincing when I felt his muscles. I blushed a deep red trying not to think about his MUSCLES.
"Umm, well, I live with my Aunt May because my parents died when I was very young. I lost Uncle ben a couple years ago. So Aunt May is the only person I have and I'm the only person she has." he looked down at his feet. I put a hand in front of him to stop both of us. He looked at me. Searching my eyes with his.
"Well. Now you both have me and my family." I whispered. I entwined my fingers with his and continued walking. After a while of comfortable silence, he looked at me.
"You have me and Aunt May too." We finally arrive at the restaurant and a kind lady lead us to our seats.
"How did you get a reservation in this place? Isn't it hard to get into? And isn't it expensive?" I started after we ordered pizza. I looked at him with worry.
"Mr. Stark helped me out. He was very happy for me when I told them that I found my soulmate. He even picked out my outfit. He gave me some of his clothes. But Nat threatened that he would burn them if she ever saw them again. She picked these out. Steve told me to act like a gentleman. Everyone gave advice. Most of them sucked." he chuckled.
"Do you live in the tower?" I made sure to keep my voice lowered.
"Sometimes I stay over. Like after a mission or if I was there for a long period of time. But I try to stay in the apartment with May. She needs me more." I smiled.
"You think of them as your family, don't you?"
"I do. They helped me become who I am. And helped me decide what I want to do with my powers." His eyes sparkled with happiness. He looked into my eyes and I looked into his. We sat there for a while. Just staring. It made my wrist tingle. My soulmark buzzing. We were interrupted by the waitress brought us our food. My dad used to joke that pizza must be one of my soulmates because pizza could cure anything for me. Sometimes when I'm sick I eat pizza instead of soup and I'm better the next day.
"By the way, is it okay if I see my soulmark?" he blushed. "Depending on where it is, I mean!"
That caused me to blush too. "It's on my right wrist. Here." I placed my right hand on the table beside his plate. He lifted his fingers and looked at me for confirmation. I nodded and he touched it. Sending shivers down my spine. I gasped. When he looked at me, confused, I looked away blushing.
"Umm. I've read up on soulmarks. They can be very sensitive if it's touched by their soulmate. He blushed. "Can I see mine?" I met his eyes again. He nodded and showed me his right wrist.

It was a bird that broke away from its cage.
"It's beautiful." he muttered. I nodded and looked up at him.
"Do you want to touch it?" he blurted. We both blushed at his question but I nodded. When I felt it, I could see him shudder.
"I get what you mean..." He chuckled nervously. We both stared into each other's eyes again.
"Hey, kid..." I jumped at the voice behind me. And one of my soulmarks tingled and I groaned in pain. I clutched above my heart and turned around. There stood Anthony Edward Stark clutching above his heart and staring at me in confusion.
