2 days after

Marinette was sitting in the dinning room, studying. After they returned from Master Fu, her friend Chelsea came over and gave Marinette all of her notes, which is a lot. Marinette started studying immediatley, and Adrien had his own work to do.

She was dealing with algebra, when her phone ringed. It was Adrien:
" Hey Adrien. What's up?"
"I found an old friend near a dumpster, she is in pretty bad shape, can I bring her over so that she can recover?"
"Yeah, sure. When will you be coming?"
"In fifteen minutes."
"Ok, I'll get everything ready for her."
"Love you, bye!"
"Love you!"

He hung up. Marinette closed her book, and went to the kitchen to make tea.

Fifteen minutes later

Marinette finally got ready for the sudden guest. Blanket, towels, change of clothes, a cup of tea, cookies, and so on.

Not long after, Chat Noir came through the window with the mysterious friend.

" Chat! I told you not to come...through...the.........window..." Marinette froze when she saw who the sleeping friend was.

Chloe Borgueois.

Flashback, 20 minutes earlier

Chat was out patroling. He took it as a chance to take a break from his studies.  He was patroling near the Seine when he spotted two cloaked figures trying to dump trash into the river. Dumping trash into the river is illegal, so Chat tried to stop them and yelled:
" Hey! You can't throw that into the river!"

The two cloaked figures got spooked and fled, leaving the trashbag on the bank. Chat Noir wanted to chase the criminals, untill an all too familiar scent filled his nostrils. Parfume, way too expensive for normal people, and lots and lots of makeup.

He peeked into the bag, and saw Chloe, bruised up and beaten, with deep gashes that looked like Alya's. He didn't waste time, as he took her in his arms, and called Marinette.

End of flashback

"Plagg, claws in." Adrien placed Chloe onto the couch, and went to unfreeze Marinette.

After Marinette unfroze, she whisper-screamed:
" Chloe?! Chloe of all people?!"
" I know Mari, but she is my friend too."
" I know, but I dream of her death! And those are my happy dreams! Don't you remember what she said to me at the airport?" Marinette started freaking out.

Adrien just looked at her with a pleading look, and she sighed and said:
"Fine. Just don't expect me to be loving to her."

Adrien smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Chloe started stirring after a couple of minutes, and slowly opened her eyes. She wanted to move, but the pain was too much. As her vision started to clear, she could distinguish two blobs. After a few seconds, the blobs got more shape, and now she could recognize Marinette and Adrien.

She was still confused, so she asked:
" Where am I? How did I survive?"

Marinette decided she would do the talking, so she said:
" Adrien found you, all beaten and bruised, so he decided to bring you here, in our apartment."

"What?! I'm in your apartment?!" She looked at Marinette, shocked.

Marinette rolled her eyes, and said:
" Don't worry, you don't have to be nice to me now. We will return you to your father after you get well enough to travel."

Chloe sighed in relief, and then Adrien spoke:
" Chloe, who were those two people back there? Why did they want to kill you?"

Chloe wanted to complain about Spotty Bane, but he could find her and kill her for real, so she decided to lie:
" Some lowly peasants attacked me and tried to rob me. I was knocked out cold. I don't know how they dared to do that!" Chloe tried to fix her hair, but failed miserably.

" Chloe, we know its not like your luxurious palace, but you can use our bathroom to take a shower. I'll go and bring you your clothes and makeup." Marinette said with a tortured face.

"Ugh, fine." And Chloe made her way towards the bathroom. She entered, slammed the door, and locked herself.

Marinette rolled her eyes, and spoke to Adrien:
" I suggest you go back out. There might be someone else in trouble."

Adrien nodded, and gave her a light peck on the lips before going out teh window and transforming outside.

Marinette put her boots on, her jacket, and her ear muffs, and yelled:
" Do you need anything else?"

" Yes! Bring me my spare sun glasses, right now!"

Marinette groaned, and left the apartment.

5 minutes later

After Chloe made sure nobody was outside, she sneaked out of the bathroom, and snooped around. She couldn't wait to find out some dirty secrets about Marinette, and expose it to the world!

She rummaged through the drawers in her living room, hallway, dining room, and kitchen.

" Hm, nothing. Where else can I look?"
Chloe tapped her chin. She looked around untill she spotted one more door. Chloe smirked, and tip-toed her way to the bedroom.

She thought that she could find some embarrasing clothes, or Marinette's old diary.

She started looking through the closets. She didn't find anything embarrasing, only a couple od Chat Noir themes pajamas. Chloe looked through the drawers, still nothing. She was about the give up, when she remebered to look under the pillow.

She didn't find anything under Adrien's pillow, but that didn't suprise her. Adrikins is too perfect to have any dirty secrets.

However, when she didn't find anything under Mari's pillow, she got very mad. She threw the pillow onto the ground and stomped on it in anger. Suddenly, an envelope slid out of the pillow case, and landed on the floor.

Chloe returned the pillow to its place, and took the envelope. When she opened it, the first thing she noticed was a drawing of a little girl. The girl has emerald green eyes and short black hair. She was wearing a pink T-shirt and a white skirt, together with a pair of black flats. She was sitting on the bench, with the Eiffel tower in the background, smiling and holding strawberry ice cream.

Chloe huffed, and said:
" I have to admit, the only thing Marinette is not horrible at is drawing."

She returned the picture back to the envelope, and took the letter that was in it too.

" Tch, this is definetly Marinette's handwriting. Let's see what sappy love letter did she write now."

Chloe decided to read it out loud, since she is currently alone:

"Dear Emma,
     How are you up there? Do you have any friends? Are you taking care of yourself?
     I just wanted to say, we miss you, my little bug. Daddy finally returned to me, and I am feeling better. He made me a big breakfast, and all of mommy's friends came to visit too! Auntie Alya still fights with uncle Nino sometimes, but it's nothing big. Oh, my little bug, not a single day has passed, where I haven't thought of you. Your beautiful smile, your daddy's eyes, and your mommy's hair. Your cute little voice, and you, running around the house in a Ladybug onesie. I know you don't want us to be sad, but we can't help it. Our lives are so much emptier without you, my little kitten. But, I want you to know that I am very proud. Very proud of you, Emma. You sacrificed your own life for mine, your entire future for mine. My little baby, my little princess, my little catbug. My little daughter. I promise, we will stop your killer, Spotty Bane, from harming anyone ever again. And I will take care of daddy, just like you wanted.
       Now, I have to go Emma, but be good, and wait for mommy and daddy in heaven.

              Mommy Marinette."

Chloe dropped the letter in utter shock. Her eyes widened, and she covered her mouth with her hand. She whispered to herself:

" What have I done???"

Before she heard a car parking. She quickly stuffed the letter back into the envelope, and put it under her pillow, before sprinting towards the bathroom, and locking herself in.

Marinette entered, and shut the door. She yelled:
" Chloe! I got all of your stuff!"
"Ugh, finally! Bring them over!" Chloe whined.

Marinette huffed as she carried the huge load of makeup she has to the bathroom. Once she set it down, Chloe quickly opened the door and snatched all of the makeup in one go. Marinette was honestly amazed by that.

Marinette went to the hallway to take her boots off. But of course, she heard Chloe screeching:
" MARINETTE!"

Marinette rolled her eyes and came to the door:
" Yes Chloe?"
" Don't expect us to be friends just because you are helping me."
"Yes, I don't expect that-"
" But thank you."

Marinette was stunned. Did Chloe thank her?!

"Um, you're welcome."

After that, Chloe was silent, and Marinette soon heard the shower go on.

When Adrien came home, she told him everything that happened and Adrien just replied:
" I met Master. He said that we bring Alya and Chloe, and go to him."
"Hm, what does he want with them?"
"Beats me?"

Chloe exited the bathroom after half an hour, In a sweat shirt that Mari gave her.

" Chloe, do you want to sleep in the master bed tonight? Adrien and I can manage-"

"No need. I'll sleep in the master bedroom. Where is it?"

Adrien just pointed to the hallway. Chloe headed to the hallway, and said:
"Night." Pretty calmly.

Adrien and Marinette just sat there, confused and suprised.

Meanwhile

Spotty Bane was sitting on Serpentina's former throne, thinking about something. The giant mansion was now empty. Spotty Bane fired everyone except one maid and a cook.

Jack entered the room, and said:
" It's taken care of."
" She is thrown into the river?"
" No, but she is definetly dead."
" Good. And how about the other plan?"

Jack looked him in the eye, and said:
" There are 3000 people in the ballroom as we speak."
"And what about Metamorph?"

"Sir, we... Don't have enough wolf kwami essence. But, I thought that we could use that essence on the highest shelf."

In seconds, Spotty Bane was inches from his face, with a piercing look.

" You shall not touch that essence. You shall not talk about that essence, you shall not breathe near that essence. You can only look at it." He growled in a low voice.

He moved away a bit, and continued: "That essence is the last thing I have from my best friend, Arctic the Dire Wolf. He is the first kwami I ever killed and he is the only kwami I regret killing." Spotty Bane turned his back, and said:
" There is more wolf kwami essence somewhere near the bear kwami essence. I will go on stage in 5 minutes."

"Yes, sir." Jack left him. There is a few things Spotty Bane holds dear, and this is one of them. So Jack knew, he shouldn't be angry at Spotty.

Spotty Bane looked at the bottle on the highest shelf, and said:
" After this, they can't make fun of us anymore, can they?" Spotty Bane smiled.

Five minutes later

3000 people gathered in the ballroom, expecting great words of wisdom from their idol, Serpentina. So, you could guess most of them were suprised when a snake like plushie started talking:

" Loyal fans of Serpentina! I am very sad to say that Serpentina has passed away, but I, Spotty Bane will make sure her killers, Ladybug and Chat Noir, pay. Now, WHO IS WITH ME???"

Through the crowd, whispers like:
" Serpentina? Killed?"

"I knew Ladybug and Chat Noir were evil!" (this person should just go jump off a bridge)

Spotty Bane waited for a second, and then asked:
" So have you decided? Will you join me, or watch Ladybug and Chat Noir spread terror through France?"

The crowd whispered for a second, then they yelled:
" YES WE WILL!"

" You will what?"

" WE WILL JOIN YOU!" The crowd yelled and cheered.

Spotty Bane got an evil smirk on his face, and calmly said:
" Your consent is all I needed."

Spotty Bane pressed a button, and the ceiling opened, which let a large amount of purple gas inside. Jack, Volpina and Evillustrator were not in the room at all, while all the other guests started to choke and cough.

Spotty Bane murmured:
" The essence of a butterfly kwami fused with the essence of the wolf kwami, with a taste for human DNA. Perfect for control and transformation. This special substance is also known as Metamorph."

When he said the word Metamorph, the guests started changing. They started growing, losing their mind, and their bodies. After the smoke cleared, the guests were changed, and not for the better. Spotty Bane smiled widely and said:

" Now, you are ready my Serpentine army."

And a lot of roars of approval were heard through the mansion.

" Heheh, your turn, Wayzz."

Tommorrow, at Master Fu's

Alya was in Master Fu's small apartment. She doesn't know why she is here, she only knows Adrien dropped her off here before going back to get Marinette.

The old man across her didn't seem to mind her at all, and just drank his tea casually. After a couple of minutes, the doorbell rang.

Master Fu slowly went to the door and opened it. Alya looked at the people who came in after Master Fu, and yelled:

" YOU?!"
" Oh, great, laser eyes."

" Oh no..." Marinette said quietly.

Aaand that will wrap it up for now! Guys, before you say I'm late, its still January 22nd here, so Im actually on time!
Anyways, I had to split this chappy up in two parts so, the next part is naturally called:

War of Change: Alya and Chloe 2

And this one will be coming out on:

January 25th, 2017
