Coming Home

So, hey kitties! Just wanted to say, these next chapters are going to come out more apart, but they will be longer. This will go to about chapter 35, but I am not completely sure. Anyways, enjoy.

Two days later

Marinette and Adrien had a lazy Sunday morning. Neither Adrien nor Marinette were morning people, and since it was Sunday, they decided to stay in bed up untill late.

A ray of sun shined through the curtains, and right into Adrien's eyes. He frowned before opening his eyes, and blinked a few times. He sat up and looked around. The black and white coloured room was still pretty dark, but most of the stuff was visible. He looked at Marinette. Marinette was still sleeping, her undone hair all over the place. He smiled at her sleeping form, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She shuffled, and fluttered her eyes open. She frowned at first, but then smiled and said:

" Good morning sweety."  She leaned on her elbow.
" Good morning, your Grace." He replied. She pouted and said:

" How long will you call me Queen?"
" Untill you marry me." He grinned.

" Oh, come on, silly kitty! It's to early to think about marriage!" She blushed and squeaked.
" It's  never too early to think about it. Don't girls think about it when they are like, five?" Adrien asked.

" Well, not all do. Infact, when I was that little, I thought about different cupcake designes most of the time." She laid back down, looking at the celling.

Adrien repositioned himself, so now he was leaning on his elbow while lying down. He traced circles across her arm. He loved Sunday mornings. They didn't have work or college, no visits and real chores. They would have talks and snuggle, have fake arguments, then laughed later.

While he wasn't paying attention, Marinette looked at him. She was thinking of something, but she didn't know how to start the topic. A few minutes passed, and finally, she thought of a way:

"Adrien?"
"Hm?" He asked while still tracing circles.
" When you-uh, get married, m-maybe not with me but with someone else..." She started blushing. Adrien looked at her questioningly. She hasn't acted like this since they started dating.

" Yeah?" He tried to make her continue.
" Would you... Have kids?" She covered her face with a pillow. After a minute of silence she removed the pillow from her face, to see him lying down on his back, deep in thought. He then smiled an said:
" Well, it's definetly too early to think about that."

She had a saddened look on her face, when he said:

" But yeah, I would definetly have two or three." (or four)
" Really?"
"Yeah."
" Well, would you like to have a daughter first, or a son?" She nervously looked around.
" Definetly a daughter."
" What? I thought guys wanted sons the most." She was confused.
" Well, I do want a son too, but I think a daughter as first child would be right for me."
"Why?"
"Well, I dont have a reason why. Girls aren't any better than boys, but I just really want a daughter." He laughed. Marinette laughed along with him. Ah, this truly was a great morning.

" Besides, it doesn' t matter if my first born is a girl or a boy, as long as it and I have the perfect woman by our side." He turned his head towards Marinette and smiled a loving smile. She smiled back and gave him a small peck on the cheek.

But, their magical moment was ruined by two phones ringing. They both rolled their eyes, and looked at what was bothering them. Adrien groaned as he had an another photoshoot in an hour. But Marinette began panicking and running around the room.

"Mari, what's wrong?" Adrien held her so she would calm down.
" I FORGOT!! I WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP MAMAN AND PAPA TODAY!" She screamed.
" Ouch. Lower down your tone, your Highness."
" Sorry."
" It's ok. Now, what is all the fuss about?"
" I promised I would help my parents to prepare for Christmas."
" And, what's the problem?"
" I need to be there at eleven o'clock."
"Ok?"
" AND IT'S 10:50!" She freed herself from his grip and started panicking, putting random clothes on and stuffing her bag with some other clothes.

"Marinette! Calm down, will you! Everything will be ok, I have a photoshoot in an hour, so I can drop you off." He calmed her down.

" But, isn't that a little to soon for you? What will you do untill 12?"
" Don't worry about me my Queen. I still have shopping to do." He winked at her.
" Ok. Just, let me make you a salad for lunch." Marinette said as she sighed in relief.

In front of the beautiful bakery, a black mercedes c class pulled over. Marinette looked over to her childhood home. She missed the smell of bread and cinammon. She gave a quick peck on the lips to Adrien as she exited the car. She took her big bag filled with decorations she made for the bakery, and a smaller one, with her hand-made apron and another costume inside.

Marinette watched the car as it drove away, waving a final goodbye. The door behind her opened wide, filling the air around her with warmth and the smell of ginger.

" Marinette!"
" Papa!" She greeted him as he hugged her.
" How are you, baby doll?"
" I'm great, papa. I need to study a lot, and I  often work untill late at night, but I am happy." She warmly smiled.
" Oh, my little baby, call if you need any help."
" I promise I will, papa." He smiled warmly as they carried the bags in.

"Oh, and if Adrien does anything to you, especially call me then." He smiled.
" He he, yeah, I'll do that." She awkwardly replied.

They entered the bakery, and put the bags near a ladder. The entire bakery was full of smoke and very messy. Out of the back Alya and Sabine came, carrying a gingerbread house and sleigh. Alya's eyes glowed when she saw Marinette. She put down the tray with the gingerbread sleigh, and ran towards Marinette, screaming:

" MARINETTE!!!!!!!! GURL, HOW ARE YOU????? I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" She hugged Marinette, almost knocking her down.
" Alya?! What are you doing here? Why aren't you in bed?"
" I'm fine! And don't worry about me gurl! It takes more then a blonde wannabe and a pissed off chihuahua to take me down!" She flexed her arms, showing no signs of pain.

Marinette snickered:
" Ok, if you say so. But, what are you doing here?"
" What? Are you not glad to see me?" She fake pouted.
" No, no,no! Of course I am glad to see you, its just, I don't remember inviting you." Mari scratched her head in confusion.

" Marinette, I invited her." Sabine chimed in.
" I wanted Alya to help you with decorating, so you could get some rest later. It is Sunday after all." She stated.

" Ok, maman. Thank you!" Marinette cheerfully hugged her mom.

" So, lets begin!" Marinette opened her bag, and started pulling out various decorations. Paper rocking horses on a string, popcorn and cranberrys lined together, lights and candy canes, ect.

" Wow gurl, you really got prepared." Alya gawked at all of the decor.
" Yeah, but we aren't decorating anything untill we get some fresh air in here!" Marinette started running around, opening windows and curtains.

" Brrr, Marinette, close the windows!" Tom yelled.
" No way papa! You might like it like this, but your customers certainly won't! Now, lets sweap the floors and remove all of this boxes."
" But, sweetie, those are the boxes with the Christmas cookies."
" Which ones?"
" Chocolate, cinammon, almond, marzipan and nut flavour."

" Ok, I'll take three of those boxes, the rest can be stacked into a pyramid." Marinette said as she took three large boxes and put them into the large bag.

" Gurl, those are for customers, you can't take them!" Alya said.

Marinette turned around, her face stuffed with cookies:
" Bgt O nghr glt td esg aoh iu kit! Atifnj elkm hfjs azz (translation: "But I never get to eat any at home! Adrien eats them all.).

" Hahah, ok Marinette, you can take one home." Sabine snickered. She sadly returned the other two boxes, and hid the one left somewhere.

" Ok, lets start decorating then!" Tom cheerfully said and put a hat on.

With Adrien

Adrien was driving away from his photoshoot. Suprisingly, the photographer only took a few photos before letting him go, but its not like he complained. When he stopped at the light, his phone buzzed.

message from: My Queen

Hey baby! If you have time around two o'clock, you can come to the bakery. My dad is making that mean tuna pie for lunch.

He texted her back:

My photoshoot ended early, so yeah I'll come. But first I need to go buy something.
See ya later, my Queen.

message from: My Queen

See you later. And don't call me Queen please!

He smirked:
" Told you, not untill you marry me."

He turned into a small alley and parked. The ally was dark, but not very creepy.

" I think this is the place." He said as he turned around and saw a shop. The shop looked like it came from the Middle ages, with and old decaying sign in front, and an old oak door as an entrance.

" He better like this."

In the evening

Time just flew right by Marinette. Adrien came for lunch, they had a little rest, and before you know it, it was evening. The bakery was decorated nicely. In fact, it looked like a winter wonderland, and it was already attracting people. They were closing the bakery, right when Marinette's phone buzzed. Adrien was calling her.

( italics: Adrien, normal: Mari)
Hello?
Hey Mari.
Hey, what's up?
One of my old friends is coming back into town, so I'm going to spend the night at my father's place were we usually hung out, just for this one night, ok?
What a coincidence, my old friend is also coming to town, and staying at my parent's place.
Wow, that is a coincidence.
Well, have fun, and say hi to your friend for me!
I will, say hi to yours too!
I love you.
Love you too, bye!

Just as she hung up, Alya was at the door.

" Well, it was a fun night, but I have my own flat to decorate. Good night everyone!"

" Good night Alya!"
" Say hi to Nino!"
" Please drive safely."

Alya just waved at them, got into her ford focus, and drove away.

Marinette sat down, looked around, and spoke:

" Mom, dad, can I stay with you tonight?"
" Why? Did Adrien do something?" Tom asked, already preparing his fists.
" No dad, don't worry about it. He is just staying at a friends place tonight, and I don't want to be alone at home." She sweat-dropped.

" Oh. Sure honey, your room is intact." Tom relaxed.

" Ok. Thanks, maman, papa! Good night." She kissed them both on the cheek, amd went to her old room.

" It's like we have our little girl again, Tom."
" Sabine, we will always have our little girl." They hugged as they watched her climb the stairs.

With Adrien

Adrien arrived at the big gray mansion he used to call home. He didn't miss it one bit. He parked his car in their private garage, and went to the front door. The door opened to reveal his father standing on the top of the stairs.

" Hello, father."
" Good evening Adrien. Your room is ready for you."
" Thank you father." He started climbing up the stairs, when his father spoke:

"Adrien, are you having fights with Marinette?" Adrien looked at him questioningly, before realizing:

" Oh, no father, not at all. Marinette wanted to stay with her parents for the night, and she proposed I do the same. I apologize I haven't said anything earlier, I just didn't find it relevant." He smiled a little and shot an apologetic look.

" Fine. Just please, notify me earlier the next time you decide something like that." Gabriel said and left, not even looking at his son.

Adrien sighed and went up to his former room. It stayed mostly the same. The only thing missing were a couple of posters, bean bags, and his computer. It was dusty, but in mint condition. Adrien sat down on his old couch, and took a wheel shaped package wrapped in brown paper out of his bag. He looked at his watch.

" Hm, 22:45. Just five more minutes."

With Marinette

Marinette entered her room slowly. Just as Adrien's, the room was in mint condition, with only a couple of items missing. She took out the box she had earlier, and placed it on her former bed.

" Alirght, it's 22:45, everything looks ok. Five minutes to go."

Above Paris

" It's so cold out here."
" Oh, shush, just a couple more minutes."
" Well, this is it."
" Yeah, I wish you the greatest of luck."
"Me too."
" Thank you, farewell!"
" Farewell!"

With Adrien/Marinette

They were both sitting down, looking at the time now and then. As soon as 22:50 struck, knocks were heard on their windows. In front of the windows, two glowing dots hovered. One was red, and the other one was green. Marinette and Adrien opened the window, and the dots flew in at lightning speed, to shelter away from the cold.

The green dot landed on the wheel shaped object, and started unwraping it. Once it noticed Adrien, it flew and slammed into his left cheek.

The red dot flew across the room, untill it too slammed into Marinette's cheek.

"Tikki..."

"Plagg..."

" Welcome back." And both Adrien and Marinette shed tears of happiness.
