Now, you may have noticed I write in first person in almost all of my stories. The reason I do that is because if I write in third person, it would get confusing for me and writing in first person is actually quite useful because that way I can keep the story more interesting.
Third person is basically the way you see in stories nowadays: this person does this, and that person does that. I just think it's very hard for me to understand what's going on in the story. I write in first person just to make sure the story can hook the reader into the character's world as well as try to make everything better for me to get inspiration and creativity. In my book "The Family", I wrote in third person in the Prologue and the intermission because I have a plan for the end of the story.
But to get back to the reasons I write in first person: in my wrestling stories, to get to this wrestler's point of view, I use, for example, "~With Lexi~" instead of "Lexi POV" because I just figured it would do me good, not the other way around.
I do use third person for prologues, Introductions, and OC profiles, but I don't use it for storytelling because, like I said, if I do, it'll be hard for me to get inspiration for future chapters of my books.
I will admit to this: I got inspiration for the first person storytelling through Martin Scorsese movies. "Goodfellas" and "Casino" to me are the best examples to name because of how Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta tell the story through the experience that goes through the character's eyes. I always liked that because it's like the character telling someone its story and how it can strike up a conversation.
It's really cool and that's why I always write like that. If you find this interesting, let me know because this is how I'll be writing until the day I die.
