The next day, nearly everyone was out doing something. Alphys and Undyne had gone out, Toriel, the kids, Sans and Papyrus had left to see Mettaton's show and Asgore had gone to a meeting with the city council. The only people in the house were Flowey and Echo, and they were bored as heck.

Flowey and Echo were on the couch, surrounded by awkward silence. "Hey, uh... Why don't we watch a movie?" Flowey suggested. Echo smiled, picked up a wallet, said "You pick, I'll grab the snacks," and left to walk to the store. Flowey got up and headed to the cabinet to grab a movie. He did a bit of thinking, and, wanting to finally make a move he put in a romantic comedy. The previews had just started when Echo came in and set on the coffee table a bag of Lays Potato Chips, Salsa, a box of popcorn and two six packs of bottled Coke. "All the necessities." Echo said, picking up the popcorn and heading to the kitchen. Flowey took one of the cokes and took a sip before closing it and setting it on the table again. Echo came in minutes later with a bowl of popcorn and sat down, just as the movie started. About halfway through the movie, Echo had ended up resting their head on Flowey's shoulder and hugging his arm. 

The movie ended thirty-six minutes later, and Echo smiled, "That was adorable!". "Yeah, it was," Flowey said, smiling as well. Their was silence for a minute. "Hey, Flowey?" Echo said. Flowey, who was just about to speak himself, replied, "Yes?". "Do... Do you like me?" Echo blushed a bright blue blush, hopefulness in their eyes. "Hmm..." Flowey said, smirking. He wrapped his arms around Echo a bit, "Depends. Which like do you mean?" he said smoothly, blushing a bit himself. "Like... Love like!" Echo said, still cheerful as all heck, wrapping their arms around Flowey's neck. "Then, ... Yes. Yes I do," Flowey said, pulling Echo closer. Their was a strange stillness for a moment; that is, until Flowey finally went for it. He kissed Echo, and without any hesitation they kissed back. They, however, had only kissed a moment before someone ran into the room. 

"OH MY GOSH!" Asriel said, "ZACH I TOLD YOU THEY WERE GONNA KISS!!" Flowey and Echo turned to look at everyone who had just entered the house. Both of them were blushing madly. "No way!!" Zach said. "And you've tried to tell us you didn't like him!" Tina giggled. "Sh-Shut up!" Flowey growled, embarrassed. Echo just smiled hugging Flowey close. "I love you, Flow!" They said, cutely. Everyone looked on with eager eyes. Flowey smiled, deciding that it was no use hiding his affections now. "Heh...Love you too, Echo."
