Today I shall convince you that I shouldn't go to the sports carnival on the 8th of March. I will present you three compelling points that will definitely convince you. The first, none of my friends will be there. The second, it will show everyone my appalling physical skills. The last, the day is completely useless.

My first compelling point, is that I will be lonely due to my friend's absence. Would want your only daughter to be lonely? My friends will be having an extreme amount of fun,  and I,  will be stuck at a dreary sports carnival, far away from the entertainment.

My second point, is that i will be made fun of an humiliated because of my terrible sport skills. I will admit,  I am appalling at sport, and this will only change with dedication, not being picked on in front of my school, with no friends there to support me. You,  being an intelligent adult, knows what its like to be embarrassed in such a way,  and we can both agree, that its not nice at all.

My third reason, is that the whole idea of a sports carnival is absolutely ridiculous. Studies have shone that over 60% of intellectual students, completely reject the idea of a sports carnival.

Finally,  my selling point, is that I have a 20 dollar gift card for EB Games that I am yet to spend.

In conclusion,  I shouldn't go to the sports carnival because I will be lonely and humiliated, my valuable time will be better spent elsewhere....  And i have an unspent gift card.
