I've decided to remember when I thought, "oh this will be good!" Looked up some fanfiction... than I read the description... two descriptions in fact... and apparently people still ship literal siblings... that is inexcusable... especially since they made the characters siblings to avoid that.

There is one way in which people could have justified it in their heads... that option is honestly disgusting.

They did some superficial research.

Aka the only time this fandom does any sort of attempt at what legitimate research looks like... is so they can justify making two siblings date... I'm not going to mention my own research until someone asks but yeah if this is really it... yeah...

I was informed that the shipping of Lukas and Brandon in SNO got so bad that the writers made them siblings. Yet apparently people still ship the two... why? And in the case of Brandon and Ritchie of FTO the two were always planned as legitimate twins and yet apparently people ship the two...  huh!?

I can sort of understand Lukas X Brandon of SNO as the two weren't planned as siblings and the level of research required actually makes sense in SNO. It's still completely inexcusable.

But in FTO people don't have the privledge of either excuses. There is no research into historical texts that allows for literal twins to date in FTO and the two were planned as siblings from the get go.

That is just as bad if not worse than a certain my hero academia fanfiction trend where people have created a twin sister for the main character of that fic and had the two date. And as I read that little thing for some dumb reason that I forgot and still regret doing so, I'm not going to give either fic a chance unless proven that the ships involved aren't actually being endoursed by the fic... which, judging by the title and description, they are.
