Argument 3

I know some people may lynch me but, in my opinion, Origins of Olympus has the worst LGBTQ+ representation of any origins so far. My reasoning of this is two fold, the Egyptian Pantheon and the misgendering of certain dieties such as Inari Okami and Loki.

The Egyptian Pantheon has a lot of representation. Too much in fact as the only homophobic mythology I can find is the Egyptian Mythology. The Egyptian Pantheon having representation would not be bad on its own, in fact it would be a good thing, except due to my next point, I've decided to be suspicious of the representation within the Egyptian Pantheon.

Certain Dieties have been misgendered. Loki canonically is genderfluid within the Prose Edda and Poetic Edda, the only two historical sources modern day has of norse mythology. Inari Okami, within the confines of Japan, is agreed to be non binary by the populus yet every time they are mentioned in Origins of Olympus they are refered to by she/her pronouns.

There are fixes to these issues.

1. Don't have Inpu and Kaiba just know they are gay, have their respective romances with Bryan and Ashara move slower.

2. Refer to Inari Okami by their proper pronouns or at the very least have Inari be a mom to certain characters and a dad to others.

3. Have Loki go by she/her pronouns at least once in the series, or at the very least don't use Marvel's parody of Loki.

And before anyone rags me for always mentioning the problems of Origins of Olympus, I know I have a bias against Origins of Olympus for reasons I won't disclose. Capiche, goodbye.
