As you all probably know, I believe the OriginsMCRP fandom is toxic. To demonstrate my point I will compare the OriginsMCRP fandom to the RWBY fandom. As people tend to ignore, in the RWBY fandom there exist LGBTQ+ people who are actively trying to distance themselves from the LGBTQ+ community because of the show.

What's more, the OriginsMCRP fandom is following in the footsteps of the RWBY fandom as most people can't name ten things that make them invested in a character as an individual without reading a wiki. I sure can't. I'm saying this for both fandoms.

An example of what I'm saying is the character Inpu from Origins of Olympus. All the investment of Inpu comes from other characters and his design. Whenever something that can make him into an individual comes up it's quickly followed up by mentions of other characters. After he transformed he cared more about what other people thought but we don't get to know what his feelings on the transformation was outside of his romance with Bryan or his sibling Magnus.

And before someone brings up the representation of LGBTQ+ people, by that same logic because the OriginsMCRP group never had a character that suffered from Autism or ADHD and was open about it, I have the right to call them Ablelists. I shouldn't but by the logic of representing the LGBTQ+ community, why aren't the mental minority groups represented, why are all asian people equated with each other, and so on.

So no, I do not think  the word representation should be thrown around as justification because that's what the word has become.

I might be seen as a cynic but honestly I stopped caring about the characters expecially when their arcs have no relevance or sense.

Should I care that Kay would probably die in season 2 of Origins of Olympus after she got literally resurected in season 1?

Should I care about Origins of Olympus Bryan's shruggle for redemption when there were other characters who argubly commited worse actions and got off scot free?

Should I care about any relationship in the fandom when barely any of the characters involved make sense as individuals?

No I shouldn't.

By this point I'm waiting for the OriginsMCRP fandom to end up like the RWBY fandom.
