Sneak peak!

"Good Morning Hyung," chipped Namjoon while locking his door, all ready to leave for his school when he saw Jin leaving for his college too.

"Hm, morning." replied Jin, his concentration over the text he was sending to his friend.

"Did you eat breakfast?" asked Namjoon again, he would daily sneak into Jin's house and cook all three meals for him. He didn't want his hyung to be more tired than he already was. Anytime he had to call or text Jin to hangout, his hyung would tell him just how extremely busy and time consuming his college is. So in a hope to reduce a little burden of his hyung, he would always sneak in and cook for Jin. It doesn't matter how tired he himself was.

Jin nodded being absent minded and walked off.
Namjoon felt a little embarrassed as there were his other neighbours too.

"At least you could have wished me good luck, it is my first board exam today." mumbled Namjoon to himself and walked off to the bus stop with teary eyes.

Jin was the only family he had, along with his dog. Namjoon knew Jin since he was born, with the other being about 2 years older. Since then Namjoon was whipped for Jin, he would always stop crying in Jin's lap as a child.
They both went to the same school, and Namjoon barely made any friends as he just enjoyed his hyung's company. Well, Jin did too. Though he had a lot of other friends too, however  he would  be found hanging out with Namjoon for most of the time.
They both were soulmates, each other's safe place, and understood each other well.

But all of it changed when Jin came to college, whether it was the college stress, or better friends, or more sense of maturity was still unclear to Namjoon but he could fill Jin slowly drifting apart.

Jin barely spent time with him, rarely checked on him and on top of that it felt as if Jin stopped caring for him.
Namjoon could feel that he was being a nuisance for Jin, by how he was behaving with him.

At afternoon, Namjoon came back after writing his first exam all tired and exhausted. He almost drifted to his dreamland when he remembered that he had to cook for Jin.
He hurriedly got up, making his way towards Jin's house and started preparing the lunch, he had often find the lunch he prepared intact when he would come to cook dinner but Namjoon never stopped cooking thinking what if Jin was hungry some day and won't have anything to eat.

Doesn't matter how tired he himself was, he would never miss cooking for Jin. Just like today, he really wanted to sleep but instead he used that time to cook for Jin. And now he couldn't sleep as he had to prepare for his next exam.

At evening, he was done with his studies and decided to pick up his phone.

"Hey hyung!"

Sent 8 hours ago

He had sent Jin a message about 8 hours ago and there still wasn't a reply.

"Ohh maybe hyung forgot to take his phone with him." Namjoon tried convincing himself. "I should go and check up on hyung,"

With that he changed his pajamas quickly, and left for Jin's house. He was jumping like an excited bunny, all ready to rant to his hyung about just how awesome his exam went despite it being so difficult.

Just as Namjoon was going to open the door, a stumbling Jin opened it. His hands were filled with stuff as he struggled with locking the door. Even before Namjoon could get to say anything, Jin interrupted him and said
"Hey Joon, you came at the right time. Will you please check up on Hoseok for me? His exam didn't went well, and he is really upset about it. I have to be somewhere else right now.... Yeahhh... I know you will do it... Bye!" and with that Jin dashed off, leaving a heartbroken Namjoon behind.
'Maybe if I came just 2 mins earlier, I could have talked with hyung.' thought Namjoon, blaming himself.
His hyung could apparantly bring out time for everyone except for him just like now. At this point Namjoon knew he was being an absolute trouble to Jin, and the older probably didn't even wish to talk to him anymore but Namjoon didn't wanted to give up on his hyung at all, he had really considered him his biological blood brother, and he wouldn't give up on his real brother now would he?

Hosoek was just an year older than Namjoon. He used to sometimes hang out with him and Jin, though he never liked him but Hosoek was pretty close with Jin.

"O-oh... Su-sure hyung," replied Namjoon to himself as Jin was long gone.
