Fighting temptations

(灬º‿º灬)

"Don't you think Winter's taking an awful amount of time in the washroom?" Willie asks.

They've finished their food and now he's eyeing his sister's half touched meal with greed.

Jake stands up. "Girls have their days, man. Never question them."

Willie looks up brightly at him. "Where are you going?"

"Washroom."

"Oh okay. I guess I'll just have to guard the food alone," says Willie innocently.

Jake snickers, shaking his head. Winter will eat his head when she comes back. He looks at the watch as he walks to the washroom. There's still quite some time left of the break.

Opening the door of the washroom, Jake stares at the scene in front of him with such an utter sense of deja vu that he thinks he's just recalling things. Inside, at the same place, in the same position, Brian is standing with his hands and mouth on some girl.

Wow. At this point, the only thing Jake can say is wow

Then he notices the girl.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" he booms.

The two separate at once. Winter looks terrified. Brian looks adamant.

"Jake..." Winter whispers. "It's not.... It's not what you think..."

But Jake isn't thinking about anything. He just watches Brian.

"Jake--" begins Winter again.

"I think you should go back to the cafeteria," he tells her emotionlessly. "Your brother's eating up your food."

She looks stricken to be addressed so coldly by him but even the hurt doesn't make her stay and she rushes out of there.

Jake takes a moment, and then walks forward. "You know," he says. "When you suddenly stopped doing anything, these days, I thought you had a change of mind."

Brian takes a deep breath. Better get it over with. "Actually? I did. I was provoking you intentionally because I thought you'd fight with me. It's so fun when you get mad, you know? But you started that feelings shit. I lost interest."

"Then why suddenly make out with Winter now?" Jake asks.

Brian holds up his hands and shrugs. "In my defence, she came to throw herself on me. I can swear it. She came here, asked me shits, and I just. I mean you know, men have needs."

Jake nods. "Alright. I got it."

"That's it?" Brian mocks. "Damn, Flynn, you're no fun anymore. I thought you'd throw at least ten punches from the way you interrupted us."

Jake doesn't even blink in response.

Brian sighs. "Okay then. Since you've decided to be a loser, I'll just leave. I'm done here anyway." He walks out the door.

Jake finally lets himself lose his shit. He holds the corner of the nearby basin, bends and breaths hard with fury. Was he wrong again? What was that fucking sketch then?

The door opens again and Jake looks up quickly, hopefully. Only to find a girl standing there. He sighs slowly, trying to gather some patience.

"It's the boy's washroom," he says.

She looks around. "Why's it you? I thought Rian was here."

He looks at her closely. Oh. Jake remembers now. It's the girl he saw making out with with Brian the first time. He looks away. What's with the day today?

"Sorry about your luck," he says dryly. "Your Rian isn't here. In fact, he won't be with you for a while now. He got another girl."

"What? So is it true!? He really asked a girl from class 2 out!?" She asks in disbelief.

"Oh you already know. That's good. Yeah that's her," he says. "You should've come a bit earlier. You could've watched them eating each other's face with your own eyes."

Gia looks shocked. "He was using our place? To do our thing?"

Bloody hell. "Find someone loyal next time," he says, wanting this interaction to end already.

She starts scoffing and cursing and muttering all at once. After a while, being done, she looks at Jake and her expression changes.

"You know," she says, her tone suddenly flirtatious. "You seem okay."

Jake sighs. Today is patience test day, it seems. He turns to give the girl the world's best uninterested expression. "Thanks for the compliment but you're approaching the wrong tree. The fruit you want is outside this washroom, where you should go if I may add."

She's anything but discouraged and sneaks close to him. "You look like you can give more than Brian can, too," she says, running her hands over Jake's chest. She likes what she feels and presses herself against him at once. "Aren't you interested? I'm not a bad deal, you know."

That's right, Jake thinks. There are plenty of fish in the river. He can delete Chase by being Chase. If only Brian would come back to see this scene now. Even the thought is so satisfying.

Jake looks down at the girl. She's pretty. And attractive. And the way she's moving herself, pressed against him, he can feel his arousal.

Exactly. He definitely likes girls. Maybe boys too, but what can be more satisfying than women? The one in front of him looks more promising than Brian ever can.

Jake puts one arm around her waist and pulls her closer. "Jake," he introduces himself.

She smirks. "Gia."

None does anything after that. Jake finally realises she's waiting for him to make the first move.

Shit. Talk about inexperience caused awkwardness. He looks at her parted lips and collects his thoughts.

Gia doesn't know him. He can just act brave. She won't know what's real and what's not. He thinks about what Brian would do in this situation. He recalls how these two were embraced that day. The memory sets his mind on fire.

He grabs Gia's face, tilts it up and covers her mouth with his. Satisfied, she starts running her hands all over his body again. She was doing this with Brian that day too. Brian had one hand around her waist, one was holding her neck.

Jake grabs her ass instead. He'll do more than Chase. And he won't stop. Let's see how far she's willing to go.

The door flies open. Jake tries to look at the newcomer but Gia only deepens the kiss. The nerve. He grabs her shoulders to pause but the next second, he's thrown apart from her.

"What," says Brian, murderously furious. "What do you think you're doing?"

Jake uses the basins for support and stands straight. "Why?" He asks. "I was just doing what you do all the time."

Brian advances towards him in rage and Gia shrieks, "It's not his fault! Don't beat him for me!"

What a bull crap. Brian holds Jake's collar, both boys' hands fisted, ready to be raised.

"Rian, please--"

"Get the fuck out of here," he tells her.

"But--"

"Go before I rip that mouth into pieces," he snarls.

She freezes at the sincerity of the threat and then dashes out of there.

Jake feels Brian's body tense and relax countless times as he stares at Jake, probably deciding what to do next. It's so satisfying that he's so worked up over this but it's also unfair that he gets to show his anger but Jake can't.

"Since you ruined all my fun," he says, copying Brian from earlier, "I'll just leave. I'm done here anyway."

Brian's eyes go straight to Jake's lips when he starts talking and suddenly, the murderous expression is back. "You have," he says, fury making his voice shake. "Fucking lipstick on your lips."

Jake frowns. "Thanks for pointing that out. I'll clean it. You just need to step--"

But Brian pushes him forward and makes him bend towards the nearest sink. He turns on the tape, splashing Jake's face with water ferociously.

Jake's so mad at that he tries to break free but he can't. He's noticed it before too. Whenever Brian's very angry, his strength increases crazily. But that's very momentary and he pushes Brian away with a jerk.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, CHASE?"

Brian doesn't reply. His rage seems beyond words.

"You have no right to do this to me!" Jake spits.

"Fuck. Your. Rights," Brian spits back. He glares at the remaining tint of lipstick and steps in to punch Jake there.

The sudden attack was the least thing Jake was expecting and he falls on the ground with the pressure of the hit. Brian throws himself over him, sitting on him and holding him back. Jake struggles but the increased strength is back and he's pinned to the floor. He can feel blood on his lower lip from the punch.

"Is this a get back for your swollen lips?" he scoffs. "You just have to get back at me for everything but if I do one thing, I deserve this treatment?"

Brian looks down at the drops of blood. The sudden boost of energy leaves, his hands on Jake's shoulder become gentle.

"I didn't want to do this again. I didn't want to hurt you. So why..." He murmurs. "Why would you kiss someone else..."

Jake's eyes slightly widen. Someone else? He wants to laugh at his face. But Brian is staring so intently at his lips that he finds himself unable to move. Seconds pass like that, Brian's expression sending sparks up Jake's veins. Then, Brian starts to bend. Not for once does he remove his gaze from Jake's mouth as he lowers himself.

And then, ever so lightly, he swipes his tongue over the blood specks on Jake's bottom lip. A shudder creates in Jake's backbone at the contact. His hands fist-up on his sides as Brian straightens, a tiny mark of red on his bottom lip as well.

"Your blood tastes like mine," he smiles.

It takes everything, everything in Jake to not pull the boy down and do things to that smug mouth until it destroys both of them. Instead, he pushes Brian off.

"Stop it!" He snarls, vehemently rubbing his lips with the back of his hand, wanting to forget the feeling of Brian's tongue. "Stop doing this to me. You're being too cruel."

Brian stands up too. "In case you haven't already realised, I'll always do these things to you."

"But I can't?"

"You can't suck some girl's face like you were doing earlier, no."

Jake seethes. "What you just did to me, did you mean it?"

Brian tenses. "I was just having some fun, Flynn."

Jake looks at him for two seconds longer and exits the fucking washroom, swearing to never use this one again. It's cursed.
