Your POV

I had a bad habit of worrying a lot, whether it was about how much calories I gain or what my friends think of me. It just depends I guess. But the day I got a boyfriend took my worrying to a whole new level. His name is Zach Herron, he's in a band and constantly working, so we don't get to see each other that often which causes me to think that he actually doesn't like me and is dating me out of pity.

But when I do see him he always tells me that he loves me, which reassures me until he leaves again. Currently I was at the boys house, since they are supposed be coming home today. I sat on the couch watching my favorite Netflix show, (F/N/S). About halfway into one of the episodes, I heard the front door open.

"I hope it's ok," I heard Zach's voice and smiled, standing up from the couch.

"Don't worry Zach, it's great," I stopped, frozen in my spot next to the couch with a frown now on my face. I didn't recognize the girls voice so it definitely wasn't any of my friends. I ducked behind the couch once I saw the girl come into the living room. Her brown, curly hair bouncing as she walked up the stairs.

I saw Zach, Daniel and Jack walk into the living room. Jack was holding a baby. Was it the girl's? Possibly. I ninja style crawled around the couch as they went to go sit down. Once behind the couch I crawled to the front door, through the kitchen. Luckily there was a wall that blocked me from the living room, so I couldn't be seen by the guys but I could see them perfectly. 'Why am I such a creep?' I asked myself.

"I really hope that (y/n) likes my surprise," I stopped, hiding behind the wall. 'Zach has a surprise for me?' I smiled and gently walked out the front door, closing it softly behind me. Once the door was closed, I smiled wider, if that was even possible, and ran to my house a few blocks down, since I didn't bring my car. Once I walked inside my house, my phone started ringing.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that my wonderful boyfriend was calling. I answered the call with no hesitation.

Hey Zach

Hi! What are you doing right now

I was about to go walk into the city, why? I lied.

I have a surprise for you

A surprise? What's the surprise?  I asked, trying to trick him into telling me.

Oh it's...nice try, but that won't work

I laughed along with him

Darn, I hoped it would

I heard him laugh again on the other side.

Just come over to my house ok?

I nodded but realized he couldn't see me

Ok I'll head over right now

Ok bye, be safe, I love you

I smiled when I heard his words

I love you too

With that I hung up and walked outside to my car. Once inside, I put the key into the ignition and backed out of my driveway. I drove the few minutes to his house and parked beside his car. I pulled the key out and opened the driver side door, locking my car when I closed the door. I walked up to his door and cautiously knocked. 'We've been dating for a year and I still knock on the door when he's home' I thought rolling my eyes, playfully.

He opened the door and immediately smiled, pulling me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around his middle and buried my face into his chest.

"I missed you so much," He whispered so only I could hear. I smiled at his words

"I missed you too," I responded with the same volume. He was the first to pull away and grabbed my hand. He gently pulled me to the backyard, where they had a beautiful archway with the path covered in rose petals. We stopped underneath the arch and faced each other. He smiled and leaned forward, kissing me on the forehead.

"(Y/N), you have been the greatest thing that has happened to me since I joined the band and I don't know what I'd do without you, but I do know that I never want to see you with someone else," I smiled at him, waiting for what was going to happen next. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a beautiful silver box. He opened it to reveal a beautiful silver ring, with a dark sapphire in the middle.

"With this ring, I promise to never leave you and one day I will replace it with a wedding ring. Everytime you look at this, I want you to remember this promise I know you have a tendency to worry," He chuckled. I smiled and nodded, a tear rolling down my face. He gently grabbed my left hand and place the ring onto me ring finger.

I pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek.

"I will never forget your promise, Zach, I love you."

"I love you too."
