Your POV

I awoke to the sound of the pounding rain, not helping the headache that I woke up with. I opened my eyes and looked at the old clock on my nightstand. My eyes widened.

"Oh crap! I'm late," I quickly stood up and immediately regretted it when I felt dizzy and my headache get worse. I groaned and decided to head to the small kitchen apartment to find some ibuprofen. Once I found bottle I grabbed two and put the cap back on, stuffing it back into its respective drawer. I didn't bother getting a water bottle, instead I headed to the shower and quickly washed up a little so I didn't look like a mess.

Once I was out, I dried off and put my clothes on. I didn't put makeup on, cause it would take up too much time, so I grabbed my bag and headed out forgetting that it was raining. Once under the awning I looked around at the rain.

"Are you serious," I said quietly to myself. I rolled my eyes and started walking towards the building where I work, just a mile down the sidewalk. I sighed, my hair and clothes all wet. I didn't have an umbrella and my car was in the shop. Fantastic.

I would take out my phone to see the time, but I don't want it to get wet. I looked up and closed my eyes to feel the rain on my face, but when I didn't I opened my eyes to see an umbrella. Confused, I looked over to the man holding said umbrella. He had blonde hair, blue eyes and a beautiful smile on his face.

"Thank you," I said to him causing him to look at me.

"It's my pleasure, besides a lady as pretty as you shouldn't be walking in the rain," He responded. I stared in awe at him as a small blush formed on my face.

"T-Thank you," I stuttered. He smiled and continued walking, holding the umbrella over us.

"I'm Corbyn by the way," He said, sticking his free hand over to me.

"(Y/n)," I responded and shook his hand. He smiled, still not letting go off my hand.

"Wow, a pretty girl and a pretty name, your boyfriend must be lucky," I looked around confused as he looked at me also confused. Once I was finished looking around, I looked back at Corbyn.

"What boyfriend? I didn't know I had a boyfriend," I looked around one last time then looked back in time to see Corbyn laughing causing me to laugh as well.

"She's funny too," He said after we calmed down. I smiled up at him and chuckled. After about fifteen minutes of talking we arrived at my work building. I stopped, causing Corbyn to stop as well.

"Well, this is me," I said pointing to the building next to us. I could see his smile falter a little.

"Well, maybe I'll see you again," Corbyn said. I smiled and nodded. I reached for my bag and grabbed a sharpie, uncapping it and lifting Corbyn's sleeve. I wrote my number down on his arm capping the sharpie when I got done.

"Now you have a way of seeing me again," I said then walked into my work building. I smiled and hoped that he'd contact me.

After a few hours it was now time for my lunch break, I was about to grab my bag when I heard my phone go off. I picked up my phone and saw that an unknown number texted me. Hoping it was who I thought it was, I opened the text. The text read.

4178863452
Would the funny, pretty girl like to join me for lunch?

I smiled, immediately knowing who it was.

She would love to :)

I held my phone to my heart trying to contain my smile, but couldn't. He sent me a place to meet up and I got there as fast as I could and spent my entire break with him. It was something I never wanted to end and lucky for me, he didn't want it to either.
