I was out with the Seavey family at the beach, splashing around. It was almost Christmas Day which is hard to believe since it's a warm day. I started to walk down the beach when the rest of the families arrived, minus the Besson's because they are in Virginia. Reese, Isla, and Svea went to go play in the water along with Zach, Jack, Daniel, and Jonah. I saw Anna, Esther, Ava, and Sydnie laying out in the sun. And the parents were sitting in chairs, under umbrellas. I looked down and decided to walk down the beach. I was sad because my boyfriend, Corbyn, wasn't gonna be here. This would've been our first Christmas as a couple. I stopped and turned toward the ocean, letting my feet sink into the sand.

"You having fun" I turned at the familiar voice and saw the person I least expected.

"Yes Daniel, I am" I turned back to the ocean. He stood next to me.

"Why did you follow me?" I asked him.

"You looked sad, so I wanted to make sure that you were ok" I looked down.

"I'm not" I replied.

"You miss him?" He asked.

"This is gonna be our first Christmas as a couple and we can't spend it together" I said. Daniel's phone dinged and he looked at it. I, on the other hand, just ignored it.

"Hey I gotta go, but please go hang out with the others, it'll make you feel better" he told me as he walked back. I sighed, but headed back anyway. As I got back, Reese came up to me and pulled me closer to everyone. I laughed at her childish actions. I saw Gabbie and Tate, and a couple surfboards.

"Are you gonna go surfing?" I asked and Gabbie nodded. Her and Tate walked over to me and gave me a hug. I smiled and watched them go out into the ocean. I played with Reece, Svea, and Isla in the sand. It's been about thirty minutes since Daniel left and I was very concerned, since he was like my older brother. I sat back as we finished our sand castle. I smiled in satisfaction.

"What do you girls think?" They all smiled.

"We're missing something" Svea said.

"Y'know every sand castle needs a flag" I heard from behind me. I looked up and a smile spread across my face.

"Corbyn" I ran up to him and hugged him.

"Hey baby" he said, wrapping his arms around me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked when I pulled away.

"I thought you were spending Christmas with your family" he turned his head.

"I was, but I decided that we should spend Christmas in LA" he said, moving aside and I saw his family walking towards us. I smiled and ran up to Ashley, hugging her. For the rest of the day, we just talked and hung out. I looked over to Daniel.

"Thank you" I mouthed to him. He smiled.

"No problem" he mouthed back. I put my head on Corbyn's shoulder and tuned back into the conversation.

"Merry Christmas baby" Corbyn said to me.

"Merry Christmas Corbyn"
