"I'll Never Leave You"

She left, without a word,
I called, I know she heard,
But didn't answer as I feared.

A sigh left my mouth, my eyes
Went blurry as something cold like ice,
Rolled down my cheek, like a dice.

I close my eyes and a memory flashes,
Like a lightning bolt, it turned me into ashes,
"I'll never leave you ", she made promises.

But now, I know, that she
Was just the snow, that we
Were meant to melt, but never glow.

Oh God! I thank you,
For teaching me the lesson, I never knew.
For making me a person who depends on few.
