      She ran into an alleyway, her fluffy tail bouncing lightly behind her. She looked around, not seeing her pursuer. The lynx put her ears infront of her face to keep the rain from blocking her vision by dropping on her glasses. She noticed an overhang infront of a door that opened up to a house. Thank Meskai for alleyway doors. She crouched under the overhang, panting heavily as drops of rainwater dripped from her small brown and blue wings. Although her fluffy fur was soaking wet, the Furn was grateful that the spot she sat on was dry. 

      A small dripping sound, more dense than the rain, resounded from the spot in front of her. Sarah didn't have to look up to know what the mix of saliva and blood was from. Sarah knew that if she looked at the creature that followed her, It's eyes would petrify her, allowing it to rip her to shreds. The female had seen it once, and it traumatized her enough to show her why many other humanoids used fear to keep their pupils and children in line.  She rounded the corner, her blue paw pads pounded on the concrete. A shop. A small coffee shop is what gave Sarah the hope she desperately needed. She burst through the doors, her hope growing as she saw the smooth red skin of her alien friend, Marx. 

Marx turned around, prompted by the ding of the bell, his blue hair swaying with the motion. 

"Oh, hey Sarah, how are- Sarah!?" He noticed her disheveled fur and terrified expression.

"Marx!" Sarah gasped, out of breath, "We- we need to hide!" 

Before the extra-terrestrial male could react, Sarah had wrapped her large paw around his arm and dragged him to the storm shelter that lie in the building, accidentally causing him to crash into an indoor tree before continuing to drag him to the storm room. That storm shelter connected the shops around it. She locked the door behind her.

"Sarah? What in the name of Meskai is going on?" Marx questioned while dusting of his apron and picking small twigs out of his hair.

"Do you remember Comyn?"
