16 - "Oh, And You Look Damn Fine In That Dress."

Lille's POV -

"Are you nearly done Lille, I need to get ready as well?" Jay shouted through the door, as it turned out it was his room I was occupying and not the spare room as I first thought it was; it was a hell of a lot cleaner than the kitchen was, with only a few items of clothes scattered over the floor.

"I'll be ready, when I'm ready. Stop being so impatient." I shouted back at him as I applied some eye liner to the bottom of my eye. I was going for discrete because I wasn't really a big fan of make-up, but I wanted enough that people could tell I was wearing it.

I'd gone for the "Taylor Swift" look where my hair was concerned. I had loose curls in and I'd pushed my fringe to the side, securing it in place with a couple of hair grips and ensuring that I applied plenty of hair spray so that it didn't fall out half way through the night.

"How much more have you got left to do? I've only got half an hour in which to get ready now." Jay asked.

"Oh, I'm finished now. Only got to put my shoes on, which I can do out here anyway." I smirked as I walked out of the room and past a gobsmacked Jay, who continued to look at me in awe as I took a seat on the sofa and began to pull my heels on; they were a pair of off-white gladiator heels which I treated myself to with the money that I had in the bank.

"Have you quite finished staring at me McGuiness?" I chuckled, looking up to see that Jay was still looking at me and he was still wearing a look of shock upon his face.

Faze one of my plan - leave Jay completely speechless - in complete and now it's time to move onto faze two.

I know I was getting revenge on Jay for tickling me earlier, but there's nothing which says you can't have a little fun at the same time.

Right?

"Erm, yeah, well, really must get ready. I'll, erm, see you in a minute." Jay said as he walked into his room and closed the door behind him.

I was loving this so much right now and I was going to love it so much more later on tonight when he was still unable to remove his eyes from my body, and he was also getting jealous because he couldn't have me.

*

I looked at the time as we pulled up outside mine and Max's place, seeing that it had just hit seven - I'm amazed that we even made it here on time, although I had never seen Jay get ready for something as quickly as he got ready for tonight; someone was eager to go and didn't want to waste time.

"Are you just going to stare at me like that all night?" I chuckled as I took hold of Jay's hand and walked towards the front door, rummaging around in my bag for the keys at the same time.

"Haven't decided yet. Depends on what mood I'm in." Jay replied with a smirk on his face.

"Try not to get too excited, won't you? Remember, Max already doesn't like you." I laughed as I went to place the key in the lock but, before I had a chance to even turn the key, the door opened and revealed a rather annoyed looking Max along with a rather worried Nathan and Tom.

"Don't even start Max. Not today." I said, pushing past him and into the house, not even allowing him the chance to open his mouth and say something to me, since I didn't really care what he had to say to me.

"Happy Birthday Lille. You look amazing." Nathan smiled as he pulled me into a hug and handed me the present which he had bought me.

"You can finally come drinking with us legally, Happy Birthday." Siva chuckled as he did the same as Nathan, only he also gave me a card as well.

"You're going to give someone a heart attack dressed like that." Tom whispered in my ear as he pulled me in for a hug although, as to be expected from Tom, he hadn't got me a card or a present.

Not that I was bothered, and I wasn't going to fall out with him over it.

"That's the whole idea. Jay hasn't taken his eyes off me since I walked out of his room wearing this." I replied with a cheeky grin.

"Something tells me that dress is going to end up on someone's bedroom floor tonight, and something also tells me that's what you want to happen." Tom joked, raising an eye brow at me slightly as he did so.

"Actually, I just want to make Jay jealous because that's my revenge for him tickling me earlier, that would just be an added bonus..."

"Yeah, I didn't think you would be complaining somehow. Anyway, Happy Birthday beautiful, my present to you is just me being here." Tom laughed as he pulled me into another hug, the same excuse that he used every single year, but I still hadn't complained and I still hadn't told him that I wanted to kill him for always forgetting.

"And that's the best present ever. Thanks Tom." I replied with a sarcastic smile, to which the others all laughed at me and seemed to think that was funny for some strange reason; well, when I say others, I mean three out of the four did, while the other just stood there and gave me some disapproving look.

I opened Siva's present to see that he had got me a heart shaped necklace. The bottom heart was encrusted with fake diamonds, while the top heart held the number "18" on the inside of it. It was absolutely gorgeous, and I decided that I was going to wear it with the outfit I had on now.

I then opened Nathan's present to see that he had bought me a new camera. It was a purple Nikon one, the same one I had been saying I wanted for a couple of months now and I said if anyone bought it for me as a birthday present, then I would love them forever. I decided that I was going to use it to take a picture of me and Jay - I needed a new one anyway, and there was no better time to get one other than right now.

"Take a picture for me one of you." I said as I held out the camera, Siva being the first one that grabbed it from my hand. I walked over to Jay, placing myself beside him - almost reaching the same height that he did with my heels on - my arm wrapped around his waist, while his arm wrapped itself around my neck and his hand rest on my shoulder.

The flash quickly went off, signalling that Siva had taken the picture and it was now safe for me to move.

"Happy Birthday Sis. I hope you have an amazing day." Max finally said, forcing himself to look in my direction; he couldn't even bring himself to hug me or anything.

"What is your problem?" I snapped.

"You lied to me, that's what my problem is, you lied Lille." Max shouted back.

"Oh, get over it. So what, I lied to you, but can you blame me?"

"Look, don't do this now. Not today anyway." Jay intervened, attempting to make tonight a good night, just as he promised me that he would; and I knew the others would make sure I had an amazing time, even if Max was going to be a twat for the entire evening.

"You can stay out of this. I bet you're thinking about sleeping with my sister tonight, aren't you?" Max spat in Jay's direction.

"So what if he was, what's it got to do with you?" I argued back.

"You're my sister and they promised not to go anywhere near you. That's what it has got to do with me."

"Oh, just leave off Max." I sighed, dismissing the comment he had just made because I didn't care what he made them promise the day that I arrived; I was the one that gave Jay the chance and I was happy with him.

No dickhead brother of mine is going to ruin that for me.

"What, I-"

"Shut up. I need a drink." I stated, walking into the kitchen and grabbing the first bottle I saw on the side; which happened to be Vodka. I opened the lid and took a massive mouthful from the top; it burnt my throat as it went down, but that didn't stop me from having another massive swig out of the bottle.

"Lille, don't do-"

"No. I'm sick and tired of him ruining everything for me, It's got to stop."

"Look, try not to get drunk before the other people have even arrived." I turned around to see Jay stood right behind me, holding out his hand for me to give him the bottle.

"Argh, he just-" but, before I could finish what I was going to say, Jay shut me up by placing his lips on mine, rubbing his thumb against my cheek as he did so. I put the bottle down on the side behind me so that I could use both my hands to pull him closer to me; even the flash of the camera in the background didn't make us pull away from each other.

It was only when we need a breath that we stopped kissing, Jay rest his forehead against me and just smiled at me.

"I love you Lille and, just like I promised, this is going to be an amazing night."

"I love you too Jay." I smiled, giving him another quick kiss before I moved away from him and went to walk out of the kitchen; opting to re-join the others in the living room as we waited for everyone else to arrive.

"Oh, and you look damn fine in that dress. But I'm almost certain that it will look better on my bedroom floor that what it does on you." Jay said just as I walked out of the door.

Oh.

Tonight was going to be amazing.
