11 - "I Miss Being Like That..."

Lille's POV -

Jay was being amazing to me, and I didn't even deserve it. I had been nothing other than a bitch to him, yet, here he was offering to re-create our first date in the hope that it may remind me of something that happened between the two of us.

It's probably the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me, and I didn't even do anything to deserve to be treated this way; I guess I should just appreciate the people I have a bit more and stop pushing them all away from me.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked Jay after about five minutes of complete silence.

"Because it's not your fault, I guess I just forget that sometimes and I blame you for what happened." Jay sighed, moving away from me slightly so that he could look at me and he even managed to smile at me at the same time.

"Why would you want to re-create our first date though?" I questioned.

"Because, it was the first time you told me that you loved me and it was when you kissed me, and it actually meant something, and it wasn't just a kiss which was going to lead to something else afterwards. I just want to remind you how happy we were together and hopefully make you feel the same way about me again because, I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the fighting and arguing now." Jay smiled, showing his teeth slightly as he did so.

"Yeah, I guess it would be nice to stop fighting all the time. Everyone makes it sound like we had the perfect friendship." I replied.

"We argued, we laughed, we had a good time and we never stopped smiling when we were around each other. I miss being like that..." Jay sighed, his hand still resting at the bottom of my back and he looked me right in the eyes; they looked even better during the day than they did at night, that piercing blue colour just hypnotised you and you never wanted to look away from him.

"I miss that too." I replied as I put my head back onto his chest, keeping my hand on his knee as I did so. "Maybe we should go back downstairs now, before Max comes looking for us himself." I added with a slight laugh.

"Yeah. You're right, don't really want to be killed just yet." Jay laughed as he took hold of my hand in his own and pulled me off the window ledge, walking out of the room with a smile on his face.

I wondered if he was going to tell me when he was planning the date for, or if he was just going to surprise me with it when he planned it all out. Either way, I was going to make sure I made it good day and I didn't throw it all back in Jay's face, especially after he was going to all this effort to make me feel the same way about him that he did about me.

It was the least I could do, and I didn't need to be pushing people away from me at a time like this, even if I do claim that I hate them and would never have feelings for them in a million years.

I'm sure that, if Jay keeps up like this, then it shouldn't take long to make me fall for him in the way that I fell for him before everything happened; at least we would go back to the way that we were before and everyone would be happy - with the exception of Max, but I can work around him and make him realise that I'm happy and he needs to accept that.

"Wondered where the hell you two had got to up there, thought you had got lost." Max laughed nervously as he walked out of the living room, looking at both me and Jay.

"Nope. We were just talking." I smiled.

"Just talking ay? Is that all?" Tom asked in a joking manner, raising his eye brow at the pair of us, which caused both me and Jay to burst at laughing like a pair of idiots.

"Yes Parker, we were just talking. You must have just been in your imagination again." I chuckled.

"Ah, that's what it is, great place in there. No one ever interupts your-"

"Thomas!" I said in a threatening manner, giving him a look from the corner of my eye, not wanting to hear what he had to say because I knew what he was like and what he was likely to say. It just didn't need to be said, especially when Max was stood there as well and would probably have punched him in the face had he been allowed to continue.

"I suggest you just shut up, or you're going to regret it." Nathan laughed, nudging Tom in the arm.

"Remember who turns 18 in a couple of days..." I stated.

"You think you could beat me when it comes to drinking?" Tom laughed, implying that he was better than me and he could handle his alcohol more than I could; even though we've had this conversation before and we've put it to the challenge as well.

I won, just in case you were wondering. Tom couldn't keep up with me and he felt it in the morning as well.

"I've been hanging around with you all for far too long now, I know how to handle my drink." I joked.

"Are you sure doing something like that is a good idea, remember what happened last time?" Max asked, obviously worried about me and he assumed something was going to happen to me if I did drink too much; but they were the ones that wanted me to go out with them and they were the ones that got me into the clubs when I wasn't supposed to be in there. They can't really blame me for that one when they're worse than I am.

"I'm sure she'll be fine Max. She's been out with us before and we've all made sure nothing happened to her, you need to stop worrying mate." Siva said reassuringly.

He was the more sensible one of all the boys, and he was often the one that, even when he was drunk, was still looking after the others and he was the one that always made sure I was alright when I was out with them.

"I wish you would stop worrying about me all the time Max. What are you going to do when I'm legally allowed to go out partying, follow me around?" I asked, trying to emphasis the point I was making to him.

"I just, I don't want anything to happen to you." Max sighed.

"I know you don't, but you need to stop being this way. I want to have a good time with you all and, when it comes to my birthday, I don't want you being protective then either; I just want you to have a good time." I smiled at him as I wandered over and hugged my brother, assuring him that I was going to be more than alright and he didn't need to be as protective of me as he was being. It was just annoying now if I'm being totally honest.

"And what took you and Jay so long then? You sure there was nothing else going on between the two of you?" Siva asked as he looked up from his phone for long enough to actually pay attention to what was going on around him now, he was usually texting Nareesha or someone like that, making plans with them for what he was going to do or informing them about what was going on with everyone else.

"Yes Siva, there was nothing else going on, we were just talking." Jay replied.

"And are you sure about that. I mean, you two did lov-"

"Love to annoy each other all the time. Yes, we still do. It's all good fun." I interrupted before he had a chance to finish what he was saying, if Max found out, then he would kill the both of us and that wouldn't have been a good thing.

"Hmm, there is something strange about you two." Nathan laughed.

"We're very strange people. Anyway, you were saying?" Jay smirked, quickly changing the subject as he looked at me and began laughing; only four of us knowing what really happened upstairs and only me and Jay knowing what happened after Tom and Nathan left the two of us alone again.

"Nothing much, was just talking about tonight really. You still up for it?" Max asked.

"Yeah, sure I am, but not going to stay out for long. I've got something that I need to do tomorrow." I smiled and Jay gave me a look that showed he had caught onto what I was going on about, I meant just spending some time with Jay and going out with him for a while before he had to go off with the others to do an interview for Capital FM in the afternoon.

"Okay then. Well, me and Nathan are going shopping, any of you want anything?" Max asked as he grabbed his car keys from the table and put his phone into his pocket.

"You know what I like." I laughed as I walked over to the sofa and threw myself down into the empty space, Jay following behind me as he threw himself down in a space beside me and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into a hug.

Oh, how I had missed things like this, it was great being like this and not having to worry about if someone was going to be there for me when I turned around five minutes later.

"Well, we'll see in a bit then. Yeah?" Max said, poking his head around the door and I just nodded at him with a smile on my face.
