10 - "I Was The One That Kissed Her First."

Nathan's POV -

Lille and Jay had been gone for a while now, either he was having a hard time finding where Lille was hiding or they just weren't bothering to come back down; I know which one I thought it was, but Max was never going to accept that.

Rule one, none of us were to ever have a relationship with Lille. If we did, then Max had made it more than clear, that it was the last thing we would ever do. However, there was something about that rule which Jay failed to understand since he was always all over her and they were never apart from each other.

But Max, obviously, never knew about what happened between them and, after the accident, Lille forgot all about what went on between the two of them as well. That upset Jay, we could all tell that, but he just carried on like everything was fine and nothing had happened.

He looked out for Lille in his own little way and was constantly making sure she never got herself into too much trouble. She never knew, but he was still being the best friend to her that he was before she forgot all about their relationship.

"They've been gone for a while now. Maybe one of us should go and check what they're doing?" Max said as he broke the silence, clearly nervous about what his younger sister was getting up to with his band mate.

"You worry too much mate, I'm sure they're fine..." Tom replied.

"But what if they're not? What if there's something going on between them?" Max snapped back with a more panicked tone than last time.

"I thought they already di-"

"Did get their revenge on each other, yes, they did. I'll just go and make sure they're alright up there." I interrupted Siva as I realised what he was going to say; if he let that slip then The Wanted would no longer exist because Jay would be a dead man and none of us would be able to stop that.

Mostly because we would all be dead men as well for keeping it from him that Jay and Lille were involved with each other.

"I'll come with you, there's a lot of room up there that need checking." Tom added, jumping up from the end of the sofa and following me out of the room, nervous about what we would discover while we were finding out what was taking them so long to kill each other.

"That was a close one. If Max ever finds out what happened between them two, then it will be the end of Jay's life, Max made that one clear the day she moved in." I said as we looked along the corridor in the rooms which the house had to offer.

"You know what though, they were good together. I mean, they brought out the best in each other when they were around one and another. There was never an argument between them, he always made sure that she was safe, even after the accident he was always by her side and talking to her, and they were just always smiling." Tom smiled as he spoke and I had to agree with everything that he was saying because it was true.

When Jay and Lille were together, there was never a dull moment because they were both exactly the same. They played jokes on people and made everyone laugh at what they were doing, they didn't care what people thought of them and they just acted like themselves.

I miss them days. Now, we're just stuck with the constant arguing and sniping at each other for no real reason other than because they can.

"Do you remember the time when Lille chased me into the garden and then Jay tripped me over so that I fell into the swimming pool?" I laughed as I remembered that day very well. I had annoyed Lille by making stupid comments all the time, and she decided she was going to get her revenge on me. Little did I know, she had already enlisted the help of Jay to sort me out if the time ever occured.

"And the time when Max caught Jay on top of Lille and they just blamed it on his clumsiness instead?" Tom laughed back in response.

"They were the good times. I miss the simple things like that, when we could all sit in the same room with each other and just have a good old laugh." I sighed as I looked in yet another room, which I guessed must have been Max's due to the amount of Manchester City items that were placed all around the room and the clothes which covered the floor.

"Yeah, same here. I hope Jay and Lille can sort things out soon, it would be nice for them to go back to the way they were before the accident." Tom sighed as he opened yet another door, only sighing when he was unsuccessful in finding the whereabouts of Lille and Jay.

"Bloody hell, how many rooms does on flat need?" I asked as I started getting frustrated with this taking so long, although there weren't many more rooms in the house to check in. There were only three more, and two of them were the toilet and bathroom, so I don't think they were really going to be in there.

I opened the door to the spare bedroom, seeing boxes all over the place, even covering the bed. I didn't see anyone in here and was about to close the door and walk out but, before I had the chance to even do that, Tom pushed past me and walked into the room with a smug look on his face. Like he knew they were in here and I had just missed them, or something like that anyway.

"Oi, Max wants to kn-" Tom paused and there was a look of shock on his face, while I was just stood there confused about what was even going on because I hadn't bothered going into the room.

"It's not what it looks like..." I heard Lille say suddenly.

"Not what it looks like? It looks to me like you and Jay were just kissing each other, and you were pretty intimate." Tom protested.

"This isn't Lille's fault. I was the one that kissed her first." Jay said, immediately sticking up for Lille and ensuring she didn't get into trouble for what had just happened between the two of them; I thought it was sweet that they had sorted everything out and they were back to the way that they were before. Even if it wasn't in the best place to sort things out and share a passionate kiss with each other.

"Tom-"

"Look, I don't care what happens with you two, I never have done. Just remember who is downstairs and what they will do to you if they find out about you two..." Tom warned, not allowing Lille to finish what she was going to say.

"What do you mean?" Lille replied.

"Basically, Max told all of us when you first moved in that we weren't to touch you and we weren't allowed a relationship with you, or it would be the last thing we ever did." I said as I finally walked into the room, seeing Jay and Lille sat on the window ledge with each other, his hands still resting on her waist and her hand was wrapped tightly on his knee.

"Before your accident, we all knew about you and Jay, none of us ever told Max though because you were good together and you brought out the best in each other. The time we all spent together when you were in a relationship were some of the best times we ever shared with each other, especially since you two were always happy and smiling." Tom smiled at Lille, although she was still looking between me and Tom with a look of worry on her face, like we were going to walk out of this room right now and tell Max about what we had just seen.

"Me and Tom were talking about the times that we shared before everything happened. One of the funniest that I have is when I wouldn't shut up singing my own song to you while you were trying to get ready, so you chased me all through the house, before we ended up in the garden and Jay tripped me over, causing me to fall into the swimming pool. You two wouldn't stop laughing, and even high-fived one and another after it happened." I said with a grin on my face.

"And one of the most awkward that I have is the time we all went out, but you and Jay stayed at home with each other. We all came back earlier than planned, and found you two basically trying to have sex on the sofa because you thought it was safe to have a 'moment' while we were out. You somehow managed to convince Max that it was an accident and Jay had tripped on you, there was nothing going on between you. You even blamed the love bites on some stranger that kissed you when you had too much to drink." Tom laughed as he told his little story, it was hilarious, and it's still as mystery why Max would even believe what his sister was telling him when it was clearly a lie and nothing else.

"The best I have is the first time you told me that you loved me and I was the best thing to ever happen to you; that made me that happiest person ever that day and it was also the first day that you kissed me. It was an amazing day." Jay smiled shyly as he looked away from me and Tom, looking into Lille's eyes instead, still with a smile on his face.

"So, trust us, we're not going to tell anyone about you and Jay. You make each other happy, and that's all we want." Tom grinned like an idiot as he walke out of the room, catching hold of my sleeve and pulling me out with him as well.

"We'll tell Max you'll join us again in a minute again, yeah?" I shouted behind me and they both shouted something back, but I didn't really hear what they said, so I just assumed they were giving me permission to tell Max that they were going to join us again in a minute.

I guessed they still had some things that needed to talk about before they came back downstairs with us and joined our world again; where they would have to act like nothing had happened between them other than talking and nothing more.

This was going to be interesting, and I wondered if Max would accept what we told him or if he would come and find out for himself. I know what Max is like, and he doesn't like Jay and his sister being together for too long.

He's very protective of her, and always has been since her accident. He still blames himself for everything that happened and he still tells us that, if he hadn't have argued with her, then it never would have happened and we wouldn't have been in this position in the first place. We have tried telling him this wasn't his fault, but he won't have it, and he won't let Lille take even part of the blame for allowing it to happen.

At least now she understand why he's been acting the way that he has been recently; the accident does explain a lot and I hope Lille realises that before it's too late.

Jay's POV -

I knew that Nathan shouted something after Tom dragged him out of the room, but I didn't really hear what he said because I was in my own little world after they left.

Some people might think that it's strange how me and Lille can go from hating each other and arguing about something so stupid one day, to being in the same room locking lips the next. But we never technically broke up, and I never stopped caring about her either, I just stopped trying to make her see that we didn't really hate each other.

After the accident happened, I sat with her at every opportunity I got and made sure she was safe and nothing happened to her. I constantly told her how much I loved her and how much she meant to me. And I made sure she knew just how much I cared about her - not that it did much good because she still didn't rememeber our relationship when she woke up and decided that she hated me.

If there is even a chance that Lille will give me and her another go, then I'm not going to throw it away and I'm not going to stay away from her.

Lille was the only person that knew how I felt, she understood me and did everything she could to make sure I always stayed happy. She even used to text me when I went away for a few days, but I never told the others about that one, they just thought I was texting my brother and we were planning something for when I got home.

"Were we really together before everything happened?" Lille asked when she heard the sound of the stairs, signalling that Tom and Nathan had gone to tell Max some story about what me and Lille had been doing for so long.

"Yeah, you're the one that asked me if I wanted to go out on a date with you. We managed to keep it secret from Max, even all the times that he nearly caught us together." I laughed as I tried to count just how many times Max had nearly caught me and his sister together, but there were just too many times to remember because there was so many times that he either came home early or just surprised us by turning up when we least expected him to.

"So why don't I remember it?" Lille replied with tears in her eyes, clearly upset that she could remember other things, but she couldn't remember a time when me and her were together.

"It doesn't matter Lille, it's the here and now that counts, not the past." I said.

"But I still feel bad that I don't remember. From what the others keep telling me, we used to be close and we used to do everything together, but I don't remember a single thing." Lille answered as a single tear made its way down her cheek, I just wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into a hug, her head resting on her chest and my cheek was on the top of her head as I spoke to her in a quiet manner, attempting to calm her down and make her feel better.

"Let me remind you of our first date then. We went to a quiet little park, we sat under the trees as the sun set and ate the picnic which you prepared for the two of us. A couple of people walked past and just smiled at us, it was the first time that I had seen you genuinely happy. You told me that you loved me, before you kissed me, it was the best first kiss I've ever had from a girl. We then spent the rest of the evening sitting with each other, just talking and getting to know each other better than we already did." I smiled as I remembered back to the day and evening that we spent with each other, the boys had no idea where we were, so they spent most of the night trying to get hold of me, until I returned home and told them that I had been out with a group of friends.

"Sounds like a perfect day." Lille whispered.

"Why don't we do it again then, this time I'll do everything and we'll see if you remember anything?" I suggested and Lille just nodded her head against my chest as I continued to hold her in my arms.

It might not be a first date, but it's as close as we're going to get and I'm going to make sure it's as perfect as when Lille arranged it for me.

It's the least she deserves after everything.
