Chapter 20

It's been a few days since the run in with Shinimi. N has been staying at the castle, and promised to contact any one of us if anything happened. Nothing has happened yet, which I found both relaxing and unnerving. Team Plasma has gotta be planning something. You would also think we would have heard from the spies on board the ship. But it's been so quiet that we have had nothing to do. So we ended up sitting right by the river near Driftveil City, lying in the grass. And by we I mean me, Silver, our Weavile, and Gold (for some reason). Except our Pokemon ran off somewhere and so it was just the three of us. Gold was to my right and Silver was to my left, and so I had the joy of listening to them bicker like an old married couple.

"You know Silver, I honestly thought you were blind when we first met? I mean, you have such weird eyes," Gold said, still staring up at the clouds.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Silver mumbled, glancing over at the breeder.

"Your pupils are white! That's some weird shit. Literally no one else has white pupils," he said, still managing to wave his hands around while laying down.

"There's nothing wrong with my eyes," the redhead deadpanned.

"That's some weird alien shit," Gold gasped. "ARE you an alien??"

"...Excuse me?"

"You don't know your mom, right? She could be an alien."

"Gold, stop."

"Yo, that reminds me of this show I watch..."
"I don't wanna know," Silver interrupted. "I don't wanna know what weird alien-human breeding shit you watch."

"No, no! There's this dude, who is a lot like you honestly, and he's half alien. He even has the weird long hair like you. Except not red. It's a normal color like mine," Gold snickered.

"Oh, so now you're insulting my hair?"

"I mean, how did you get such red hair if you're Giovanni's son; he HAD to have done it w--"

"DON'T finish that sentence," Silver interrupted again, cringing at the thought.

The black haired trainer just laughed, pleased with his work of irritating his rival. The redhead just sighed, hoping the torture was over.

After the laughter died down, I just laid there with my eyes shut, enjoying the breeze blowing on my skin and through my hair. I listened to the calming trickle of the river flowing, and the splashes of water types in the water. The rustling of the tall grass. The large flying ship over head. The chirping of bird Pokemon.

Wait.

I opened my eyes upon being covered in the shadow of the incredible floating Plasma ship above us. And just by coincidence my PokeGear began to vibrate at my side. N, of course.

"The Shadow Triad were just here, and they took the bait," the green haired trainer informed me.

'Bait?' you ask. Yes, I have a plan, when don't I have a plan? I don't just randomly ram head first into situations, you silly reader. I'll explain later though, it'll build suspense, trust me.

"Cool, head back to Driftveil so we can all storm Ghetsis when we find his location," I said, getting up. My two companions stood as well, and Silver called our Weavile back over to return to their Pokeballs.

"I'll see you soon," N said, hanging up.

"Sweet, are we finally gonna get to kick Plasma ass?" Gold grinned. "Or...Plasmass, if you would."

"Gold, I'm literally going to murder you," Silver groaned.

"C'mon, you loved it, you just don't wanna admit it," the breeder winked. "Besides, you'd miss me."

"I certainly wouldn't."

"We don't have time for this, children, we gotta get the others, remember?" I said, running ahead of them to get back to the rest of the DexHolders.

They both followed, but not until Gold shouted one more, "You guys love me and you know it!"

"Everyone knows the plan, right?" Red asked as we were all waiting outside of the PWT, waiting for the ship's location.

"We don't know what we're up against though. Kyurem alone won't be a problem, but it's the Shadow Triad. If Ghetsis orders them to kill any one of us, they will," N said. "We may not all get out unharmed, or even alive."

"Do you have any idea how to stop them?" Green questioned.

"Preferably without having to kill them?" Red added, with Yellow nodding beside him.

"Zoroark's illusions are our best bet but...I don't know if we can completely stop them without killing them," I said, not really wanting to stoop to their level, but they're what makes this so dangerous. "They're why Ghetsis is still a problem, they broke him out the first time."

"Aw, c'mon, we've kicked so many butts up to this point, we'll make it through another battle," Gold smiled, putting an arm around me and N. "We've got each others backs, or did you guys all forget the time we kicked Kyogre ass?"

"That wasn't even Kyogre, that was a flat out sea monster," Crystal added, but fondly smiled at the memory.

"Yeah, whatever, but I was pretty awesome, wasn't I?" The breeder smirked.

"You showed up in a suit of armor like a knight, there's nothing cool about that," Ruby snickered, Sapphire laughing besides him.

"Uh, sure it was! I saved all like five of us so I was a knight in shining armor!" Gold yelled, getting defensive.

"Of course you were," Silver said, getting a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Especially when you put that ring on me and declared your love for me."

The golden eyed boy blushed and made incomprehensible noises of denial. "That RING was to save your life AND I called you my BUDDY!"

"Oh, so you two are married!" I laughed. "And this whole time I thought the angry, married couple thing was an act."

This time they both blushed and yelled simultaneously, "I'd never marry him!" causing everyone but the two of them to laugh.

N stopped when he realized his xtransceiver was getting an incoming call, and we all stopped once we noticed the sudden tension.

"We found where they are; they're at the Giant Chasm. I trust you know where it is?" We all heard Rood over the silence. N nodded, said his thanks, and ended the call.

"Well this is it," I said. Everyone's looks changed from joyful to serious and determined. I had no doubt in my mind that we would be able to stop Ghetsis' plan.

"Then what are we waitin' for?! Let's go!" Gold threw out his Togekiss, and everyone else released their fliers.

"Wait, Umber, before you go..." A female voice stopped me; one I haven't heard in awhile. I turned to the speaker behind me with a stern expression, expecting a fight.

"What do you want, Lyra?" I snapped.

"I just wanted to say...I'm happy for you." Alright, that surprised me. I lightened my face up a bit, mostly in confusion. "Silver is a better person because of you, and I shouldn't be jealous over it. And I was sort of a jerk."

"Uh...?" I honestly didn't know what to say. I wasn't expecting this, especially now of all times.

"Just make sure you've got each others backs, and be careful," she smiled.

After a brief hesitation, I nodded. "Don't worry, we'll all make it back okay."

"Hurry up Umber!" I heard Gold shout.

"We don't have all day!" Silver added.

I gave one more reassuring look to Pigtails, and ran over to Silver and his Honchkrow (N has my Dragonite, if you were wondering).

"You ready for this?" My boyfriend asked, brushing my hair out of my face.

"I've been ready," I replied confidently. He gave me one of his rare, soft smiles before hugging me.

"Now let's finally go finish this."
