The next morning I woke up before Silver, who looked like he wouldn't be waking up for a while, so I wiggled away careful not to wake him. I decided to raid the kitchen and find what I could make for the both of us, and maybe change out of these dumb Plasma colored clothes (even though I look fantastic).

Once in the kitchen, I opened cabinets and drawers hoping to find something suitable. Berries...berries...bread...fruit? How long has this fruit been in here?

"Why don't you just go somewhere for breakfast before investigating?" A voice spoke up, scaring the living shit out of me and causing me to jump. I turned to the voice and saw a familiar green haired boy, munching on his berry like he didn't scare the daylights out of me.

"Fucking hell, N! You scared the shit outta me!" I sighed, letting go of my sudden tight grip on the counter.

"I apologize," N said. "But it appears that you had a good night." He smiled.

I blushed remembering last night, and from embarrassment and/or panic that N, my boyfriend, clearly saw me and Silver together.

"Oh Arceus, N, I'm sorry, I'm your girlfriend and here I am with another guy. I wasn't even thinking...!"

N chuckled. "It's quite alright, seeing how things turned out how I hoped."

I couldn't clearly think. "Wait, what?" What did he mean?

"I know you love him, so why would I keep you from him? I mean, all I want is for you to be happy," he said. "Don't you remember why I asked you to be my girlfriend? You found out Silver was taken, but now he isn't...so..."

"You planned this?"

"It wasn't hard to see you had mutual feelings for each other." I mentally facepalmed; if the guy who had no clue how human relationships work saw that, how many others noticed? "So I wanted you to take him back here so no one would bother you."

"...Thank you," I smiled.

At this point, Silver walked in, yawning quietly. He glanced between me and N, glaring slightly.

"If I'm interrupting something then maybe I should just--"

"No, no, nothing's going on," N interrupted. "I was just congratulating Umber on your new relationship."

Silver blinked in confusion. "What?"

"I mean, are you two not a couple now?"

"Uh..." The redhead (who was also a bedhead at the moment) shot a look towards me and back at N again, at a loss for words. To clear his confusion, I walked over to him and held his hand. He looked at our hands and intertwined his fingers with mine. "Yeah, I guess we are."

"So I assume you two are off to Opelucid City?" N asked.

"Yeah, then try and figure out what Team Plasma is planning. Probably update Looker as well if we find anything," I said. "I'm gonna go get ready to leave." I let go of Silver and left the kitchen to go to my room.

Opening my closet, I realized I left some of my clothes on the Plasma ship, so I had to pick something else out of my limited selection. I took the black boots that I got from Plasma, black jeans, and a purple and black striped top. After changing I went back to the kitchen to meet back up with the boys and discuss the rest of the day.

"Let's go to Opelucid and look around first, then go to that cafe in Castelia for breakfast," I suggested, snacking on a berry.

"Knowing you, the breakfast would end up being dinner," Silver mumbled, but I could still hear clearly being right next to him.

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

"I mean you'll get so caught up in this whole thing that you'd want to keep working instead of eating," he replied.

"Fine, then I'll go to Opelucid myself!"

"Don't be stupid. We don't need you to go missing for another two weeks," the redhead said. "I'm going with you."

"Then don't complain, grumpy," I said, nudging his side. "Besides, Opelucid is closer so may as well deal with that."

"Whatever," he sighed.

"I'll go back to the tournament and see if anyone has seen any more Plasma sightings," N said. "I'll catch up with you two later." With that, he took Reshiram's Pokeball and walked out as Silver and I said our goodbyes.

"Well c'mon lazybones, we've got frozen cities to check out!" I declared, grabbing another berry, shoving it into Silver's hand, and dragging him into the room where our Pokemon were to be found. He just groaned in one of those 'give me a break I just woke up' groans. After gathering our Pokemon and all our things, we made our way to Opelucid.

It was rather difficult to find a place to land once we got there, considering nearly every inch of the city was coated in a thick layer of ice that hasn't seemed to of melted at all. Not to mention it was so cold that I wish I brought a jacket. Our Weavile didn't mind it at all though, but lately it seemed like they were always happy being with each other. Looking around, the city looked abandoned, not a person in sight; probably all trying to keep warm within their homes.

"And what did you plan on doing here again?" Silver asked, crossing his arms.

"Shinimi said they needed something here, which was the main reason why they froze this place over. Someone here has to know what they needed." I informed him.

"Who the hell is Shinimi?" The redhead continued his questions.

"Uh...one of the Shadow Triad," I said, thinking back to when this place was attacked. Even though Zorua helped me, watching an illusion of myself being kissed, and then stabbed, was honestly frightening. I didn't think Shinimi would really do it, but now I know he won't hesitate to follow Ghetsis' orders. Fighting an invisible, sadistic ninja to the death isn't something I want to ever do again.

"Anyways, we aren't gonna find anything out just standing here," I walked in the direction of the Pokemon Gym, hoping the gym leader would know something. Silver and our Pokemon followed, still frolicking around. Upon walking in the gym, the guide stopped us saying that they weren't taking challenges right now.

"We're not here for a gym challenge. I was wondering if the gym leader was here; I need to ask him some questions," I informed him, hoping that the leader was actually here.

"Questions?"
"Yes, it's about yesterday's attack."

The guide nodded, understanding the situation. "Yes, I see. I will go get him. Please wait here," he said, turning and walking to the back of the dragon themed gym. I took the time to admire the interior of this gym; all black and white with two enormous dragon statues reaching up to the ceiling of the gym. Standing here reminded me of when I watched Silver's last gym battle with Clair. 'Was that really two years ago...?' I thought to myself. I remember those events like it happened...well last week. Not yesterday because the actual events from yesterday are taking up most of my thoughts currently. Echoing footsteps interrupted my thoughts; the guide had returned with who I assume is the gym leader.

"So, you two have questions for me," the man said. He was sort of intimidating; you could certainly tell he was a dragon user all right...his piercing stare reminded me of a dragon Pokemon. "I am Drayden, may I have your names?"

"I'm Umber and this is Silver," I gestured to myself and Silver. "Team Plasma attacked this city for an item yesterday," I said, getting right to it. "Do you know what that item was?"

Drayden sighed. "Yes, and unfortunately it has been stolen from us," he replied.

"What was it?" I asked.

"The DNA Splicers. It's a powerful item that can be used to fuse Kyurem with one of the two legendary Pokemon; Zekrom and Reshiram."

"Fuse?" I asked. I never heard of fusing two Pokemon together.

"You know the legend of the trio, correct?" The gym leader asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Uh, no," I admitted.

Drayden nodded before telling us a brief summary of the Unova based legend, about how many centuries ago lived a pair of twins. Together they had controlled a powerful Pokemon, which later split into Zekrom and Reshiram when they fought. But the rest of the original Pokemon was turned into Kyurem.

After he finished his tale, I gasped and silently cursed under my breath.

"What is it?" Silver asked, finally speaking up.

"Team Plasma has Kyurem already. All they need is either Zekrom or Reshiram!"

"If Team Plasma manages to fuse Kyurem with one of them, Unova...no, the world, will be in danger," Drayden said.

"We gotta find them, c'mon Silver," We turned about to leave, but not before I thanked Drayden for the info.

I released Dragonite, about to search all of Unova if I had to, but Silver stopped me.

"Hold up, what about breakfast? You said we'd go after investigating," he said.

"But Team Plasma!" I protested.

"I'm not gonna have you pass out from hunger while Plasma hunting. Besides, I'm hungry," my lovely redhead complained.

I groaned. "Fine, we're going to a cute little cafe."

"As long as it has food..."

Once we got a seat at the cafe, I pulled my Pokegear out and called Looker to update him on our recent findings. Once he picked up I automatically sat up and started talking.

"Looker, it's Umber. Me and my companion ("Companion?" could be heard by a certain grump, which I kicked him under the table for) have found more out about the attack on Opelucid. Drayden told us that the Shadow Triad managed to get away with the DNA Splicers, an item that can be used to fuse Kyurem with Zekrom or Reshiram."

"But what are they going to do with that? Both Zekrom and Reshiram are with trainers...I'd tell N to watch his back if I were you," Looker said.

"Understood, I'll update you on anything else I find."

"Thank you for your help." And with that, I hung up and finally turned my attention back to my bored boyfriend. Well, for a little bit. "I'm gonna call N now and make sure he's caught up."

Silver sighed. "Then I'm going to bathroom while you deal with that." He stood up and I called N, sorta glancing around the cafe. It was a small, empty place, with only a few other tables filled. But the whole place was so quiet and cozy it feels like it's just you.

My umber eyes met mysterious purple ones in the distance, at another table in the cafe. It was a boy around my age, who looked oddly familiar somehow, sitting alone. He didn't even bother looking away when our eyes met. All he did was grin, but with that slight change, it hit me.

I had to get out of there.

Maybe I should wait here. Wait for Silver. Yeah, that sounds good.

He stood up and started walking over, still grinning. My heart rate increased, and I couldn't look away. Where could I run to in here? Hurry up Silver, please...

I didn't even hear N talking before I got up and ran out, ending the call as I stormed out and into the streets. I couldn't wait any longer. I don't wanna know what he would do to me.

As soon as I turned a corner in panic, I ran into someone. They didn't fall though, only grabbed my wrists, forcefully. I looked up and saw the same eyes and grin. It felt like my heart was in my throat, and I was shaking.

"Oh my dear Umber, why must you play hard to get?"

I've never been this terrified before. I wanted to cry for help but I couldn't move or scream.

All I could do was plead to Arceus that Silver would find me.
