TERRENCE’S POV

Oh my, whoever the she-wolf is at front door is…I feel that draw.  That can only mean one thing.

PRINCESS I mind link  WHO IS SHE AND HOW IMPORTANT IS SHE IN HUNTING DOWN THE ONES WHO ATTACKED TINA?

T THIS IS THALIA AND WE SHE IS THE ONE IN THE PACK THAT IS WORKING ON BREAKING DOWN THE MASKING SCENT THAT THE SPIES ARE USING. SO IF WE ARE TO STOP IT SHE NEEDS TO COME WITH US. WHY?  Princess links back.

I stay connected to him as I hear him tell Tad and Tom what was going on. Tad started to argue because next to me he is the best tracker in the pack but dad explained to him that Tom needed to go because he was the one that was attacked and it was his mate who was attacked. He  continued to explain that he had to go because he was there before they sprayed the perfume to mask Princess and even though what he and Tom smelled wasn’t the real smell they could follow it until it disappeared then it would be up to Princess. He explained that the more he thought about it the more he needed Tad to stay back and protect the pack but more importantly he needed to needed someone to stay with Tina that she trusted who could take care of her. Who better if her mate was going after the ones who caused the death of her pups than his brother? Plus he and Tina had a great family, friend and working relationship.

I could feel the disappointment in Tad.  I know that he has grown close to Tina and their relationship is more like a sibling relationship than his brother’s mate. I am glad that they are close, especially now with what I know.

TOM WHEN YOU GET HERE YOU WILL STICK TO THALIA LIKE GLUE. SHE WILL BE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY ON THIS MISSION. I link Tom.

Apparently we talked the whole time they were traveling to meet us. We are all in wolf form but I am watching to see dad and Tom’s expressions when they first see Thalia. I have asked the guys that came with James to keep Princess and Thalia in the center since we know the rogues have made it here before. They do as I have asked but just laugh. I wonder what the laughing is all about.

When Dad and the team from our pack get here, James steps forward and begins to introduce them but I can see Dad and Tom looking for something. They feel the draw but aren’t sure what it is until Princess steps forward to introduce Thalia. I don’t think they heard anything she said but the looks on their faces was priceless.

DO YOU FEEL IT? I asked.

Both men shake their heads.

SON I WILL STAY BACK WITH PRINCESS WHEN YOU CAN’T BE RIGHT BY HER AND I WILL WATCH OVER BOTH OF MY GIRLS. YOU AND PRINCESS ARE TO LEAD THIS ALONG WITH JAMES. My Dad links to me.

YOU TELL ME. HOW DID YOU REACT WHEN YOU SAW TINA FOR THE FIRST TIME AND KNEW? I KNOW FOR ME IT WAS DIFFERENT BECAUSE I FOUND PRINCESS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN AND WE HAVE TALKED FOR YEARS BUT THE MOMENT I REALIZED WHO SHE WAS I HAD A HARD TIME CONTROLING MYSELF. I AM JUST THANKFUL I HAD MYSELF UNDER SOME WHAT OF CONTROL WHEN I CAME DOWNSTAIRS IF NOT WELL … I link back.

ACCORDING TO PRINCESS SHE IS. I THINK FROM THE RESPONSE THE MEN GAVE ME SHE MUST BE A LITTLE SPITFIRE. I GUESS WE REALLY CAN’T EXPECT ANYTHING ELSE.  WE WERE BOTH GRANTED WITH SPITFIRES OF OUR OWN AND ACCORDING TO PRINCESS SHE IS JUST AS CLOSE TO HER AS SHE IS TINA. I link him.

“Okay guy now that we are all here lets pair up. Princess you are with me. James I want you and Dad together. Tom I want you and Thalia together. The rest of you I want to pair up with someone from the other pack. That way both packs can know what you find. Princess and I will hold a link so that you can contact your partner. I now have the ability to link with all of you just as Princess does.” I tell the group.

“Just who is Princess?”  One of my pack ask.

“Well first and foremost she is my mate and secondly” I say switching to the royal command tone I have “she is your future Queen. However, that information is something that will not leave this group. Is that understood?”

“Terrence no one knows me as Princess. They all know me as PJ. That is a name that only close family even knows. Uncle Mark is the only one other than you to call me that.” Princess tells me.

“Oh okay. Sorry.” I tell her.

“PJ is my mate and your future Queen. However that information is on a need to know bases for now. It is for her protection. Her pack knows this.” I tell everyone.

“So PJ you are Jane’s daughter, I am your humble servant.” Jeff says. “Your mother, Mark and I were best friends growing up and I was always her protector until your father claimed her. I am Mark’s old beta as well.”

“Jeff it is nice to finally meet you and I have heard many wonderful things about you.” Princess tells Jeff as she walks up to him and gives him a hug. “I feel like I have known you all my life.”

“Thank you PJ. That makes me feel good knowing that my best friend never forgot me.” Jeff says humbly.

“She never forgot and I know that she cried for days when she found out that your mate and child were murdered by rogues. I know that she wanted to come to you but because of the attacks we were under Dad put us all under lockdown.” PJ says to him.

“She called and we talked every night until she was taken after that. She had a way of calming meeven from a distance.” Jeff told us.

“You must be James. Just as PJ looks like Jane you look just like your father.” He says as he walks up and offers his hand to James.

“Yes sir. It is nice to meet you. I am glad that you are here. I would appreciate it if you would look out for PJ just like you did Mom. I know she has her mate and his family here but she has never been away from me. Uncle Mark told me that there were people in this pack that would step up and treat her like family and I can only assume that you are one of them.” Jame says to Jeff.

I have never seen this strong man shed tears in public or in front of anyone other than us and even then it was only the first day after losing his family. Yes Jeff was family. He is my dad’s best friend and former beta of the pack. Now he is a pack elder.

“I will gladly claim her as my own. I loved both of your parents. But Jane was special to me.” Jeff says. “Terrence you are one lucky young man and I am glad PJ has you.”

“Okay PJ, lead the way. You have the scent.”
