It's been two years since Jace and I got back together, but I still feel like he hasn't fully forgiven me for what I did. I'm not sure how to make things right. I've tried talking to him about it, but he always shuts me down. I don't know what to do.
Riele had hurt Jace deeply in the past, and his mom understood why she had acted the way she did. Back then, Riele had been young and foolish for leaving him, and Jace had grown up believing it was his fault she had gone. One night, Riele walked to their daughter's room but found it empty, which sent her into a panic. Rushing downstairs, she stopped in her tracks at a heartwarming sight—her daughter peacefully asleep on Jace's chest as he rested on the couch, both of them lost in slumber. Jace slowly opened his eyes and asked Riele how long she had been standing there. Jacey stirred in her sleep.
Riele approached her mother to take Jacey from him. She then changed Jacey's diaper and placed her in the high chair.
Jace prepared breakfast for his family. Sitting beside Riele, he fed their daughter before Riele began eating her meal.
Jace thanked his girlfriend for the delicious breakfast. He then greeted his mother and his children. After breakfast, Jace sat in a rocking chair, gently cradling his daughter, Jacey. Before long, she drifted off to sleep in his arms. Carefully, he stood up, placed her in the crib, and quietly slipped out of the room. Heading to the kitchen, he found Riele in tears. Concerned, he asked, "Why are you crying?" Softly, he added, "I know I hurt you in the past." Then, he leaned in and kissed her.
