Reader's pov

I stood there, shocked at Stein's words. Death just looked confused. In the corner of the room, I see kid and a red haired man. The red head and kid were just as shocked as me. "How so?" asked Lord Death. "she has eaten more than enough of the required souls and even won in a fight against me without using her weapon." He said, the red haired man and kid looked astonished. Lord Death's eyes widened with surprise. "How is that possible?" he questioned. I sighed and released my soul seal. "What do you see kid?" asked the red head. "Her soul is almost as big as this room." He said overwhelmed. The red head looked like his eyes were about to pop out of his head from shock. I then put then seal back on, making my soul look way smaller then it actually is.

"(y/n) why did you hide this?" Asked Lord Death. I shrugged." Well I guess it's because I like when people underestimate me, makes them venerable. Easy to beat. That's how I knew Stein would be easy to beat. He can look at souls, he saw the seal and underestimated me. Making it easy to beat him." I said scratching the back of my head." I see, amazing strategy. Ok, I've made up my mind. (y/n) you are a death scythe from here on out, but I do ask of you to stay in the academy school. I believe that you still have much too learn. I also want to assign Stein as your new meister seeing as he is the strongest meister in the school. It seems fit to put you two together. Now I have much work to do so I ask you both to leave." Said Lord Death, and with that me and Stein nodded, walking out of the room.

"Wow first day and I'm already a death scythe and beat one of the strongest guys in the school, cool." I said to myself. "Well, black star is not going to like this. You might have another easy fight soon." says Stein. I give him a questionable look but turn to see a kid with blue hair, wearing a sleeveless shirt. I also see a girl next to him with long black hair and a weird dress." So you are the hot shot everyone has been talking about. Strongest weapon with out a meister in the school. Rumor even has it you even beat Stein, but I don't believe it." He says. "I am so sorry for Black star's behavior. He just likes to be the center of attention. My name is Tsubaki." Says the girl.

"It's alright Tsubaki, and Black star. Excuse my language but she kind of kicked my ass, not beat me." Said Stein chuckling. I just smiled. Black star looked a little scared but then regained his confidence. "Well I'm not a old man who sits in a lab all day." he said. "This old man kicked you but in battle easily. This is (y/n) first day, she already became a death scythe." Said Stein pushing up his glasses. Black star just froze. "I'll just you to process that." I said as I try to walk past him. He tried to grab my arm but I smacked his hand away. "Don't touch me." I said I a stern voice. "I still want to fight." He said. I was starting to get ticked off. "Ok if you will leave me alone." I say. I walk back a couple feet. "Do you want to use weapons or not?" I ask. "No, I want this to be harder on you." He says with a smirk. "OK" I say smiling.

I get in my stance. "Go" I heard Stein call out. As soon as he did Black star ran at me. I dodge and used my wave length to knock him out. He was down no a matter of seconds. Tsubaki ran to him trying to wake him up. "Don't worry Tsubaki I didn't hurt him. I just knocked him out. He will wake up in 15 minutes. He will just have a minor headache. I could tell he is something special to you, so I knew what I had to do." I said. Tsubaki looked up at me, soon her worry turned to relief. I then started to make my way to to the exit." Where are you going?" asked Stein." I need to train. I never skip a day of it. Please don't follow me." I say as I start to run. I can here Stein telling me to wait but I don't listen. As soon as I get to my destination, I sit down. I was in a field I grew to know so well. As I sit there I can feel all the souls around me.

I like to train my mind, training my eyes. Everything in this world has a soul. Even the plants have there each individual souls. I can sense all souls within 50 yards from me. But my goal this week is to expand it to 55 yards at least. I focused on the area around me. Once I reached 50, I began to push outwards a little. I grew a inch. Every little thing from as little as bugs to as big as Kisha. All of a sudden I can feel one right behind me. I open my eyes to see Stein there smoking. "You really thought you lost me?" He asks me. I shook my head. "I could feel your soul 15 yards away." I say. "Your just full of surprises aren't you?" he says chuckling lightly. "Yeah, I guess so. It's almost like research. I am expending my eye sight with souls." I say looking down at a flower. "Did you know that plants have their own souls, bugs and animals. But unlike human, Kisha, and witch souls, their souls just vanish. That's why most can't see them."

I say. Stein looked astonished. I love that feeling, of shocking people. But it was most satisfying coming from Stein. After a while I got up and so did Stein. We left the area, I was planning on walking home. As I was heading in that direction Stein followed. I was confused. "Stein isn't you house in a completely different direction?" I ask. "Yes, but I thought I'd just walk you home." He said. I just nodded as we continued walking. Once we got there I opened the door. "Thanks for walking me home. I'll see you tomorrow." I say giving him a little wave. "Anytime flower." And with that he was gone. I could feel my cheeks get hot at the nickname. I just shrugged it off and headed to the kitchen. In the fridge was a crap ton of food and a note.

"Hey (y/n). I had Stein stalk up your fridge for you so eat whatever you like. Also if you need money for more, just ask. You best pal - LD"

I smiled at the note and grabbed a apple and began eating. Once I was done I went to my room. I then remembered the paper and pencils in there. I decided to start drawing. I loved drawing, it detracts me. After a few I grew tired. I just took off my shoes, and jumped onto the bed. As quickly as my head touched the pillow, I fell asleep.
