For a couple of days, Seunghee is having a hard time. It’s almost unbearable for her to keep deceiving and lying like this. Jeonghan sends her messages every now and then and she’s glad Yuta’s not even suspecting her of anything yet. She even answers his calls, just leaving her boyfriend’s side when she does. It’s consuming her conscience. She has to confess the truth to him soon.

“Hey, have you seen Mina lately? She looks really good,” Seunghee starts, trying to gauge Yuta’s interest in other girls.

“She’s nothing compared to you,” Yuta answers.

It silences her. He’s busy writing something for next period and she’s sitting across him, at the student lounge. This is very difficult for her. What makes it even more difficult is the fact that he hasn’t done anything wrong. In fact, he’s done so little things that made her mad at him. She’s totally being unfair to him.

Yuta is seeing through her. He knows she’s trying to tell him something. And he can sense it’s something serious about them. But he won’t let her have her way. He can’t let her do what she wants.

“Why don’t we go to my apartment later? You haven’t been there for a while. I actually need some housekeeping, will you help me?”

She thinks twice but she has no other choice, “Yeah, sure.”

She’s decided. She’ll tell him later. Before this day ends, everything between them shall end too.

They’re together the whole day and they end up in his apartment as scheduled. His room is a mess. It’s true that he needs some cleaning.

“Well, what do you think?” he utters in embarrassment.

“Let’s hurry and tidy this room up,” she replies.

For about an hour, they have the room organized and the pile of dirty things are at the corner. They have rested and are now in his living room, cozying up.

“Have you told your parents about the trip?” he asks.

She can’t even answer. She has no other thing in mind but Jeonghan.

“Yuta, can we talk?” Seunghee starts.

He knows it’s coming. “We’re talking Seunghee.”

She has to do it now. There’s no right time for this, she knows. She just wants to be free from this burden. He looks at her and he knows what she’s gonna tell him.

“Is this about that guy?” he tells her.

Suddenly, he’s mad. And she’s surprised that she thinks he has an idea about what she’s about to tell him when she hid it well. Did he know what was happening and just stayed silent about it?

“About Jeonghan-“

“So that’s his name. You’ve been cheating on me.”

He stares furiously at her now. She’s scared, but she’s feeling guiltier.

“I didn’t mean it. I just found myself drawn to him. And I’m sorry, but all this time, I never really felt like we belong together. I… I want to break up with you.”

“You’re dumping me?” he exclaims. He expects her to say sorry and he’s willing to forgive her, but break up? This wasn’t in the list of his expectations. “No, I’m not letting you go.”

She expects this. Yuta has not once let her feel that his love is fading. In fact, she thinks he’s even more in love with her now than before. That’s the thing she’s most afraid of. But she doesn’t feel the same anymore and she has to get it through.

“Yuta, please listen to me.”

“I have no intention of handing you over to anyone. You’re mine and I’m not gonna give you to someone just because you think you’re attracted to him!”

“I’m in love with him. And I think I don’t love you the same.”

This silences him for a second.

“From the start, I knew it was never really love. I thought I was in love with you. I really wished I was. But when I met him, I knew it was different. It was far different from what I feel for you. It was him. I knew it was no other else but him. Yuta, I’m sorry.”

He’s furious but he talks in a calm way. He grabs her shoulders gently and tries to talk her out of it. “Get yourself together Seunghee. Maybe you’re just delusional. It’s not April fool’s day so stop joking on me.”

He has the habit of believing what he only wants to believe and he’s executing that habit right now. But she wants to make sure she has to get through to him.

“Yuta, I’m sorry. I don’t want to hurt you more. Just please listen to everything I’m about to say.”

“Shut it Seunghee.”

“I love him. And I’ve chosen him. I’m gonna be with him soon. Right after we end everything. So please. What I felt for you, doesn’t add up to how I feel for him. I’m telling you this now so we can clear up on everything.”

“Shut up! You’re not going anywhere! You’re staying with me!” Yuta shouts angrily at her, his grip tightening on her.

She’s too scared right now. He’s wearing an expression she has never seen before. He’s so mad, she don’t know what he’s about to do. He hasn’t laid his hands on her ever but this time, she’s a bit troubled he’s about to.

“You’re not seeing that guy, we’re not breaking up and we’re gonna be together till I say so!” he’s losing it.  He loves her so much, this breaking news is putting his stability to the test.

He then hugs her tight, the tightest he has held her.

“I love you. You can’t be gone in my life. I can’t let you go.”

“You’re hurting me. Let go!”

“You’re mine Seunghee. You can’t belong to anyone but me.”

After this one line, he grabs her nape and sealed her lips with a very aggressive kiss.
