Chapter 3

Sofia went upstairs and thought long and hard on what to wear. She had realized that he wished for her to not show her body as much. She would give him that wish. So a pair of jeans and a strapless white top was picked. The pushup bra was left out. Maybe if he didn’t see so much cleavage he would be happier.

Once dressed, a sparse amount of makeup was added. The reflection in the mirror showed an unhappy person. Yet if this is how her mate wanted her. She would give him what he needed. “Did you call your friends?”

He looked her up and down before answering. “They should me here any second now.” Before I could say another word, there was a knock at the door. Sofia had decided to be nicer to his friends. She realized now that they were good people. “Hola Rene.” Her greeting was warm and friendly.

“Well hello to you to beautiful” he said as he bent to kiss her cheek. The urge to flinch was great, but she held it back.

I heard the growl before Ricardo yanked me back. “I thought you were scared of people?” He said as he shot me a glare.

Confusion swamped her. Did he not want her to befriend his friends? “Have I done something to displease you?”

His jaw tightened before he spoke. “No, I’m sorry" was said as he walked away. I followed but was stopped by a hand on my back.

“Your tattoo is cooler then Ricky’s” Rene says with his hand still on my back.

Ricky turned around and lunged at Rene. “Keep your hands off my woman.” he growled before punching Rene in the face.

Just then Serenity and Destiny showed up with Logan and Kevin following not far behind. “What the hell is going on?” Logan yelled as he walked through the door.

The sight of Ricardo hitting Rene horrified me so I ran crying to the kitchen.

When I saw Rene kiss her cheek it made my blood boil. How can she let another man touch her when she’s mine? I got mad at myself for even thinking such a thing. When Rene commented about her tattoo, the last thing I expected was too see his hands on her again.

A strong pair of arms, ripped me off Rene. “What the heck has gotten into you Ricky” asked Kevin holding me back.

“I saw him kiss her cheek and lashed out at her. When he grabbed her back, I saw red and just attacked.” He felt like all kinds of scum. “Sorry man, you know I love you like a brother.”

“Ricky, you didn’t mate her last night?” Serenity asked looking concerned.

“Why would I?”

“Because she’s your fucking mate, dip shit.” Rene spit out.

“Calm down guys. She gave you over half her powers. You have to mate her or things will get worse for you. She is more than your other half now, she is basically part of you.” Destiny says.

I shake my head “she is not what I want, I can’t.” They all just shake their heads but Rene spoke up.

“You are really freaking pissing me off. The next time you come at me I’m going to fight back. What’s your problem, you have a hot mate and it looks like she is a very nice girl too.”

I glare at him “why the fuck do you even care?”

“I don’t know man, seems like I have some sort of connection to her.” I almost swung at him again but Kevin held me back.

“What! You guys all had it too? Serenity has a special connection to Kevin. Shit, she even brought him back to life. Ricky, you have that special connection to Destiny. Only seems fit, since I’m the hot one of the group to have that connection with your hot tamale,” he said smirking making me lunge at him again.

“Rene cool it, it seems to be the attention on her looks that has Ricky so agitated.” Logan told him.

“Where is she?’ I asked.

“She ran into the kitchen crying.” the girls said.

“Why don’t you guys go and get her and take her out of here. We will beat some sense into Ricky’s thick skull.” Rene says taking charge earning another glare from me and surprised looks from the guys.

Sofia had run to the kitchen crying. She hadn’t done anything wrong. Why was Ricardo acting like that? After leaning on the refrigerator. She let her mind carry her to what was considered her happy place.

Her magical power allowed her to transport herself to a beach. After digging her feet in the sand she sat and watched the waves roll in. No thoughts were needed here. It felt like hours had passed before she sensed two trespassers on her beach.

“How did you guys find me here?”

They laugh, “We can invade each other’s minds, that’s how.” Serenity says.

“Just don’t go looking for Serenity after dark. You will be damaged for life after that.” Destiny says making us all laugh.

“You are nice people. I am happy my Ricardo is surrounded by nice people.”

“Sofia, how are you feeling?” Serenity asked making me weep.

“He doesn’t love me. He doesn’t like me much either I think. Last night, he sleep on the couch and I sleep in the bed. This morning, I make him breakfast and he sent me to put clothes on.” They looked at me shocked.

I huffed “I was not naked sillies, I had on lingerie.”

“No wonder he was all worked up.” said Destiny and they both laughed.

“I don’t understand?”

“Well you see, Ricky is a virgin.” they tell me.

“So, I am too. I still don’t understand.”

“There’s a difference, have you ever kissed a boy?” they ask me.

“Oh yes, I love to kiss,” I tell them. “Although no one ever made me feel like Ricardo.”

“See, you at least did stuff with guys. Ricky has never touched a girl in any way sexually.” Destiny says.

Understanding dawned on her.

“I’m not sure he knows you’re a virgin but he sure as hell knows you know more than he does. You see, he always thought his mate would be quiet and soft spoken and hidden under layers of clothes.” Serenity says.

“I am nothing like that and Sofia changes for no man. I wanted to make him love me but he has to love me for me. I will not hide my body and cover it all up. Look Serenity, you have a blouse like me Logan tells you nothing.”

“Oh honey, but I am not built like you are.” She tells me.

“So you think I should change?”

“What! Hell no you shouldn’t. What I do think, is that you gave him too much power over you. You see, Lolita your wolf has always been too clingy. In friendship and apparently now in love.” Serenity says.

“She is the one trying to get you to bow down and cower to Ricky. But you are strong Sofia. Do what you want to do.” Destiny tells me.

“Don’t listen to them, make mate love us, change for him.” Lolita my wolf says.

“You gave him more power so he would love us, didn’t you?” I ask her and she did not answer. “I think I am ready to go back now. Serenity, can I still have that room at your house.”

She smirks “this is going to kill him.”

We opened our eyes and were accosted by screaming. “What the hell happened? We have been trying to get you to wake up for over 20 minutes.” Logan yells at Serenity.

“First of all, don’t you dare yell at me. Secondly, I’m sorry. We went to find Sofia in her hiding spot and sat there and talked.” They all looked at me.

“I need to go get my things” I tell the girls and leave the room.

“What does she mean get her things?” Ricky asked Destiny.

“Well my friend, she is leaving and coming to my house.” Serenity tells him.

What the fuck, she can’t leave me because she’s mine. What the hell is she thinking? He saw her come down after fixing her make up. She’s so beautiful.

“Let’s go.” She tells the girls.

She walked away but turn back and walk to me. She grabbed my shirt with both hands and pulled me down to her. I wasn’t prepared for the kiss she laid on me, but I swear smoke was coming out of my ears. “Esto es para que veas de lo que te perdiaste.” and she walks out the house without a backward glance.

I was in shock and after a few minutes I asked. “What did she say?”

“This is so you know, what you missed out on!” Logan tells me with a smirk.

My knees went weak and the guys caught me before my ass hit the floor. They walk me over to the couch and my hands cradled my head. “What did I just do?"

“Looked to me. Like you really pissed of your mate.” Rene said matter-of-factly.

“Be cool Rene,” Kevin tells him.

“I just don’t get it Kevin, why is Rene so afraid of her?” asked Rene truly looking confused.

“You can’t get the fact that I have no clue what to do with a Fucking woman!” I yell at them all. “I had my first kiss yesterday, with her.” My hands went in the air full of frustration. “To top it off, look at her. Why in the world would she want me?” I covered my face with my hands.

“I wanted someone different, someone as clueless as I was. What should I do or say?” He yelled out in frustration. How in the world did life pass him by? He never ever felt the need to even touch a female in anything other than friendship. Yet he found himself wanting to do so much more than touch his mate.

It didn’t help that his wolf was begging him to mate her every second of the day, He realized his friends were stunned silent. “Don’t look at me that way. Just say something, someone, anyone.”

“You just had your first kiss?” Rene stated still in shock.
