They radiate heat at all times; keep them away from flammable objects! Both of these traits place them firmly within the Stoker Class. However, they have a surprising amount of control over their fire, and they tend to be more discerning when they use it. In addition, they love gardening, and they can be befriended by gifting them a choice fruit or vegetable.

One cannot discuss Fire Whirls without also talking about their symbiotic counterparts, Blooming Maws. These plant-eating Mystery Class dragons release substances that act as fertilizers for the vegetation around them. They almost seem to be plants themselves, with their slow movements, immense size, and calm disposition. However, they should not be mistaken for gentle giants. They can be extremely territorial, so it's best to stay away from islands they inhabit.

You may wonder, how are these two species symbiotic? Well, it's simple. While Fire Whirls may seem fearsome to a human, they are too small to defend themselves against most dragons. On the flip-side, due to their massive size, Blooming Maws often find it hard to take care of themselves and their plants. So, a Blooming Maw and a pack of Fire Whirls will settle on the same island. The Fire Whirls tend to the plants, while the Blooming Maw scares off any predators. They each fill each others' needs."
