"You can't just leave me!" he shouted.

"You promised you would make this work. What happened?" the girl nonchalantly replied.

"I-I don't know. But I promise, I WILL make this work. I just need some time. And I'll save you. I won't back down, I swear," he pleaded, tears streaming down his face.

"You broke me again, just so you know," she said.

"I won't do it again. I'll save you. I'm sorry. I love you, please don't leave," he cried out.

"What a selfish request, don't you think? Did you listen when I begged for you not to leave one time? No. So why should I listen to YOU?" she bitterly said while chuckling.

"I promise, I wouldn't dare hurt you again. I'll fix you. I'll make this relationship work. Just don't leave me like this,"

"Good luck with that then. You can't fix me because I'm not some machine you can always fix and you just can't make, whatever our relationship is, work. So goodbye and if you're not backing down, good luck," she coldly replied.

She walked away.

I won't look back. I won't look back, she thought.

And she didn't.

She kept walking away.
