Summary: "Expelliarmus!" Harry yelled as he pointed his wand behind him. The resulting yelp meaning their was one less wizard chasing them. It was a small relief. A very brief one too as Harry ducked just in time for a familiar green spell to miss him. Instead it collided with a stone pillar a few feet ahead of them. The ground shook as the archway it held up collapsed. That way effectively being cut off and causing the auror partners to divert down another path.

"We're so dead," Draco said as he threw a wordless spell behind him.

Third Person's P.O.V.

Spells rocketed off the walls. Some from being expertly deflected and others from missing their target entirely. The result of which sent debris every which way in the poorly lit hallways Draco and Harry were running through. Three of the five previously missing child wizards being carried on an arm or on their back. Both in Draco's case. Not that he minded given it was part of his mission to get these children to safety. Said task proving more and more difficult to do as the pair couldn't seem to shake the kidnappers in pursuit.

"Not yet we aren't," Harry responded casting a shield just in time to protect the little girl holding onto Draco's back for dear life.

"You're way too optimistic sometimes, you know that love?" Draco asked as they rounded another corner in the maze of a building.

"Of course," Harry replied, setting off another defensive spell that would buy them a few moments of peace, "You remind me all the time that it's one of my most annoying traits."

"That along with your- NO!" Draco interrupted himself coming to a stop the same time his husband did, "Don't you dare even think about it Harry!"

It was too late for protests. Harry handed Draco the child he was carrying in the last few seconds of reprieve the group had before the onslaught of spells and curses would make their return.

"Love ple-"

"I'll be right behind you," Harry cut his husband off, that stupidly beautiful smile of his on his face.

Draco wracked his brain for what to say and was cut short by a spell whizzing in between the pair. He hesitated before saying, "You better be darling," and turning to run.

"I will," Harry assured.

He wasn't.
