|SIX~ a beast be the yoda|

Stupid airplanes. Haven't we been here before? I don't like them.

Which is why it was super nice to have one all to myself.

Well, and Peter.
And Tony.

Since they had come to surprise me, they offered to take me home too. On our knees, Webs and I had begged Dee to let me go. He grumbled, but said I could, and said he need to stay a while longer because there were a few mishaps happening at the base.

T sat up at the front of his private plane, while Peter and I occupied the back. Tony has said earlier he had some surprise for us so we were giddy with anticipation.

He said, too, that we could build a fort and project a movie up to the front of the plane. Using blankets provided and the pillows Peter had brought (I don't know why, he's weird), we made the sickest fort we could with the materials provided.

I crawled under, my head poking the top of the fort. Webs crawled in after me, laying on his stomach as well. I clapped and winked at Tony, who, with the roll of his eyes, turned off the over head lights and on the movie.

I made sure Peter kept his promise, so I made him watch Star Wars with me. Before, T made us some buttery popcorn, which we returned with smiles and soft thank yous.

The bucket filled to the brim lay in front of us, and we snacked away.

We laughed at all the funny parts and focused on the most important plot parts. At the end, we ended up talking rather than paying attention.

We lay on our backs, facing the roof of our fort. Our arms brushed, laying side by side.

"That was such a weird movie."

Webs just nodded, falling silent.

"Did you enjoy those Poptarts?" He asked, moments later after silence had set in a little too much.

"Only the chocolate ones." I teased, snickering.

"Oh come on!" He grumbled and crosses his arms over his chest.

I giggled and shook my head. "Hey Webs? What's it like being spider boy?"

From the corner of my eye, I saw him frown and he sighed. "First off, Spider-MAN, not boy.-"

"Whatever."

"-second, if I'm being honest, it's kinda scary. Having peoples lives at stake... their blood is on my hands if I fail."

I closed my eyes as I heard Tony's breath hitch. I suppose he was eavesdropping. "But it's fun right? Being able to do things that other people can't?"

Webs nodded, but shrugged. "Oh yeah. Of course it's so fun to have people love you but not love you, ya know? It's funny. I do enjoy helping people. I think that's my favorite part about it."

"Yeah yeah. But the swinging and flying around the city itself seems pretty fun." He laughed and I continued, "think about it though, you wouldn't be very useful anywhere else other than New York."

"True."

We sat up abruptly as we felt the plane jolt onto the runway. "Come on, chatter boxes. Let's go unpack."

I looked over to Peter, who looked just as confused as I felt. I grabbed my bag and Jelly, the little dog Peter had made me, and followed behind him to the door to the plane.

Our mouths fell open as the beautiful scenery appeared before us.

"Surprise, Runt!"

Before us lay a vast ocean of crystal blue and perfect white sand. A beautiful beach house sat perched above the grassy sand dunes, its walls gray and modern which looked gorgeous against the blue sea.

I pushed past Webs, who was caught up taking the sight in, flinging my shoes off and throwing my bag down. I ran to the water, the warm air running through my hair and sand kicking up in my wake. I pulled off my sweatshirt, leaving it on the sand and dove into the water.

My t-shirt clung to my skin and my jean shorts weighed me down, but I floated on my back, eyes closed as I took in the warm sun on my skin.

I heard T laughing from far off, the crashing waves drowning out the sound. I squealed as I was pulled down by a hand on my ankle.

I pushed to the surface and flung water all over the place. "PETER!" I yelled and splashed him with water as he laughed.

We were soaked, but it didn't really matter. The wet material cooled off our skin and dried out quickly in the hot sun. I rested my chin on Peters shoulder, him carrying me in a piggy-back ride about our simple little island. The tall green grass swayed in the breeze and behind us the sky lit up a million colors as the sun set.

"Are you sure I'm not too heavy?" I question, tilting my head to one side.

Webs laughed at my question, and I frowned. "Positive. Super strength, remember?"

"Oh."

I set my chin back down on his shoulder, leaning my head against him. With a smile, I closed my eyes.

This was a nice surprise.

The warm sun against my back and the gentle bobbing up and down of Peter walking gently rocked me off to sleep.

I could very quickly get used to this.
