YADAVI'S POV

Our life can be more thriller than a movie sometimes. The person who I never wanted to see again is back . I have even admitted that person in hospital stating that she is my friend. She was not in this city, then how come she came back . That too without her husband, something is wrong. I called Onkar, Wridesh and Teerth. I told them the situation and they said they will reach the hospital in few minutes. I also said the situation to Lopa and Agastya. They said doctor has given permission to take Adhu home, after leaving her in home they will come back to hospital after freshening up.

Lopa was equally shocked like me to see her in that state. Onkar's mother also went inside the room to check her. The nurse came to me and asked to fill the form.

My hands started to tremble when I was writing her name "Dayita Chawla". My husband's ex. Now the wife of one of India's business tycoon "Asuresh Chawla". I just met her once in my life exactly on the day of my marriage. She didn't attend any of the rituals that happened before our wedding. On the day I met her I felt something wrong in her attitude. I actually felt that she wanted to speak something but she never uttered a word to anyone except normal talk.

The doctors came out of the cabin.

"How is she aunty?", I asked Onkar's mother.

"Yadavi, we will speak everything in my cabin. Come", she said and took me to her cabin.

We sat down in her cabin.

"Yadavi, I am shocked my dear. I know Dayu for the past twenty years. She is such a sweet heart but I never thought that she will be in this situation.", aunty had tears in her eyes.

"Aunty, what happened to her?", I asked again.

"She is two months pregnant dear.", aunty paused. "Aunty what is wrong in that? We should be happy for her right. I mean it has been three years of her marriage", I said what I felt.

"She has already undergone four miscarriages and also she has been physically abused. To be open, she was raped", aunty said and started crying.

I am shocked would be an understatement. Lops used to speak about Dayita to me, she always said that Dayita is a lively girl.

"Aunty don't worry, we are all there for her now. She will be alright for sure. We will help her and also we will get justice for her too.", I said.

"Did you call everyone?", she asked me. I nodded.

"Can I see her now aunty?", I asked with some hesitation. Aunty asked me to go and see her, also she added that she will wake up in 10 minutes.

I went inside Dayita's room. She looked so pale. I have seen her in their group photos, she was always smiling. Seeing her like this, hurts me. I know I was the one who never wanted her to come back but after hearing how she is melted my heart. I am women too. I can imagine how much she endured so far. I don't know how her friends are going to react. Especially Teerth, I am sure he will break down after getting to know what all she faced.

What is more shocking is Asuresh is doing all this! He is the one who is having the largest NGO for women. What an irony! And he is torturing his own wife. Why miscarriages? Poor soul Dayita, she has to suffer all this! I wish she got married to Teerth itself at least she would have not faced all this. But now situation is more complicated.

"Wa.. water", I heard a feeble voice which broke down all my thoughts.

I brought water in a glass and fed her.

"Are you okay?", I asked her with concern. That is the moment she looked at me.

"You are....", she stopped.

"I am Yadavi...", I paused. "Teerth's wife right?", she completed. She remembers me it seems. Of course I am her ex's wife after all.

"Yea. How are you feeling now? Can I cut some fruits for you?", I asked her.

"How is Teerth?", this is the first question she asked.

"He is fine", I told her and started to cut fruits for her.

"How is Onki, Wridhi, Lops and Agu?", she asked next.

"They are all fine. Even Ekiya is out of coma", saying this I gave her the fruits place. I didn't said anything regarding Ekiya and I don't want to upset her now.

She looked at me weirdly. Do I look like a monster? I checked myself and asked her what.

"If I was in your place, then I would definitely not be caring my husband's ex", she said and took the plate from me.

"Well, I am not caring my husband's ex. I am caring for Lopa's friend", I told her honestly.

She started eating and after few minutes she finished too. I initiated the conversation.

"I am sorry I am asking this. But what happened to you? I mean you can share it with me if you want to", I said hesitatingly.

Whatever she said was beyond my imagination and she started crying uncontrollable. I went and hugged her tight.

"Dayita, please calm down. I am with you in this.", I said and that calmed her somewhat.

"Pl...Please don't say this to anyone. I don't want anyone to know about it.", she said panicking.

"But Dayi..", before I can complete she stopped me and made me promise on her child that I will never say anything to anyone. I nodded.

A nurse came and said that she needs to check her up and asked me to wait outside in sometime before she returns.

When I was about to leave Dayita stopped me.

"Teerth is lucky to have you as his wife.", she said with so many emotions in her eyes.

"No, I am not that lucky to have his love", I said and kissed her forehead and left the room.

I don't know how to react to the situation now. There is a lot to take in. I have to stay strong for everyone. I will stay strong too.

Lopa and Agastya came to the hospital. I told them everything what Onki's mother said. They also got perplexed like me to hear everything. Lopa started crying, her pregnancy hormones is taking a lot of trauma on her. Agastya was consoling her. At the same time Onki, Wridhi and Teerth came.

"Is she ok?", this is the first line of my husband. This is the first time I am seeing him with tears in his eyes. That clearly shows how much he feels for her. I won't lie I am lucky to have him indeed because before our marriage itself he said everything about him and Dayita. But I am not lucky enough to get his love.

"Yadavi, is she ok?", he again asked me and shaking me on shoulders.

I said them the same thing what I said to Lopa and Agastya. I don't know how they all will react if they come to know about the truth.

Teerth broke down into tears. Onkar and Wridesh were no different. Of course, why not if Lopa was the heart of their team then Dayita was their soul. She is the most innocent among the group and also emotional.

The nurse came out and said that we all can go in now. We all went inside and saw Dayita.

"Dayu", Lopa went and hugged her tight.

"Stop hugging me tight Lops. You will break all my bones for sure now", Dayita said.

"Very funny", Lopa said.

"So, Dayu has grown up a lot that she actually forgot her friends when she is in trouble", Agastya went and gave a side hug.

"Offo Agu, if I had ever forgotten you all then I would have never returned here.", Dayita said with tears.

"Yaar Dayu, please don't cry you look like a donkey when you cry", Wridesh said to lighten up the mood.

"Says who always sleeps like loathe", Dayita said. Everyone fake smiled. How can they smile when they see someone who they adored a lot. I still remember Lopa saying that once when Dayita fell from her cycle how everyone pampered her a lot till that wound got dried and today the same Dayita is lying in hospital lifeless almost.

"Dayu, tell us the truth what happened with you?", Onki asked. Dayita looked at me for a while.

"I don't want to talk about it Onki", she said.

"Let her take some time Onki, she has already gone through a lot and moreover she has someone to take care now too", Lopa said and placed her hands in Dayita's stomach.

"I am so happy that both my sweet hearts are pregnant", Onkar said and hugged them tight.

They all were speaking happily except Teerth. I went near him and held his hands.

"You didn't ask her anything Teerth. Go and talk to her", I told him. Tears are falling from his eyes unknowingly. He looked at me and his eyes spoke to me what his mouth couldn't.

I gave him a nod. He went near Dayita after so many doubts and sat beside her.

"So at last Teeth came. How mean Teeth you didn't even ask me anything till now?", Dayita spoke with fake anger. I can't believe after going through so much this girl has the audacity to smile in front of everyone.

"Well what to do when the cry baby is busy crying with all her other friends? And it is Teerth not Teeth", he said firmly.

"Oh come on Teeth suits you more than Teerth as you keep on gritting your Teeth all the time. Right Avi?", Lopa said looking at me. Why are they pulling me into this?

"Th... That", before I complete Dayita spoke. "See Teeth how much you have blackmailed your wife that she is stammering to speak in front of you" and once Dayita said this everyone really laughed. Teerth gave me a look which almost was like "You traitor".

Onkar's mother came inside our room.

"So Dayu where are you going to stay?", she asked looking at her.

"I don't know aunty maybe in some hotel", once she said this Lopa started shouting at her.

"Come on Lops you are already pregnant and you have Adhu too right. I don't want to be a burden", she said.

"You can stay with us", I said.

Everyone looked at me so shocked as if I asked them to kill someone.

"What? I mean only Teerth and me are staying in that house. Moreover, Dayita I have heard you also completed fashion technology only, so you can also help me in my company. You won't get bored too", I spoke what I felt.

Maybe they all felt weird keeping her with me. Come on, she opened her secrets to me not even to her friends. So I should be the one to support her right. I am sure Dayita is not like Ekiya and even Ekiya is not like how Ekiya portraits to us.

"I won't come with you", Dayita said. My face fell down.

"I will come with you, only if you call me Dayu like everyone else. You know Dayita sounds odd", she said.

"Then you can also call me as Avi like Lopa", I told her. She nodded immediately.

Everyone left after sometime. I asked aunty to prepare discharge papers.

She got discharged in evening itself. We three went to super market and bought some stuffs. Dayu said she is craving for chocolate ice cream which I too love. So I bought two boxes of that. Teerth gave us a look "you both are impossible". We ignored him. Lopa was right Dayita is really a sweetheart. She said a lot of things about Teerth which I don't know.

We reached our home and I started cooking dinner for us. I asked Dayu what she wants to have and made everything as per her wish.

When we were having our dinner Teerth asked us a question and we both choked our food.
